Service dept - ran into a problem where a rat got into my engine compartment and knocked my serpentine belt off. I limped my truck to pioneer Chrysler, why not only did they have the disgusting task of removing a half destroyed rat from my engine compartment, they also threw my belt back in place for no charge. I asked Mark, the service advisor, what I owed and he said nothing but a smile and a handshake. Customer service goes along way this day and age, and they proved that today . Thanks guys. read more

Anyone thinking of shopping here please take the time to read this!!!! The truck it was delivered to me December 31 and I quickly signed without looking everything over because I had to get their driver to the bus depot. It was after that I looked at all the paperwork the driver gave me and some I found crumpled up in the glove compartment. First on the bank application I noticed my last name was spelled wrong, I live in the Yukon and there was a BC address given and that I had resided there for three years, my occupation had been changed, and time at the occupation, my drivers license number been changed and the province and expiry date to me to make it look like I was a BC resident. On the bill of sale the price had changed and there was additional documentation fee of $1500 and a Net Addition fee for another $2500 that I had never been told anything about. I had been told by Damien that the dealers owner's wife had driven this truck, it had 14,000 kms on it but the two papers in the glove compartment said that it had been a lease vehicle. Neither on the bill of sale nor on the tax transfer was this revealed, but instead was crossed off saying that no it had had not been a lease vehicle. I was also charged $160.00 for a permit that cost $98. I also informed the VSA (Vehicle Sales Authority) of what was going on and sent them copies of all of the papers I had plus the text messages from Damien and Elisha. I called the Scotia Advantage bank that the loan was to go through and told them what was going on and that I was having nothing to do with this and it was fraud. They informed me they would look into it and did, I received a call from them 2 days later saying they had cancelled the application and had informed Elisha Smart at Pioneer Chrysler of their decision. Right after I called the bank, I texted Damien Smart and told him to return my down payment and come get his truck, the deal was off and I told him why. Then I received text after text from him and Elisha that were nothing but harassment. I kept telling them to get my money back to me and come get the truck. Then I spoke with Tony Silverton, the Finance Wizard who basically told me that it didn't matter what his people did, that I signed the papers and could be charged if I backed out of the deal. This was on the phone and of course when I asked him for this in writing he denied it all. Then a call from Daniel Cook, the General Manager, at first things went fairly well but he did not want to talk about what had gone on, he just wanted to "move forward" We talked about me still possibly purchasing the truck but working with him, he told me that both Damien and Elisha had been fired. I asked him why did everything about me get changed on the bank application, he said the banks don't like to lend money to people out of the province because it is to hard to repossess if there is default on the loan so they make the changes to look like people actually live in BC to get the banks to lend them the money. Honesty at it's best. He told me there would be no problem getting my down payment back if I chose not to go through with the purchase. I let Mr Cook know later that day via text that I was not interested in buying the truck and that I would accept an etransfer like I sent to them or cash when they came to pick up the truck just like I had told both Damien and Elisha. Then text after text between Mr Cook and I with him telling me that I had to do things his way. He tried to get the RCMP to deal with me and get his truck but was told that it is a civil matter and they don't deal with civil matters without a court order. He had a fellow call and I am going to say "pretend " to be a bailiff to harass myself and the compound owner but he wouldn't provide any identification. I also got texts from Elisha proving she was never fired. Then I called the president Raymond Van Empel who again did not want to talk about what all had gone on, he got Mr Cook on a on a conference call and I told him that this could've been done long time ago, that I should have never been treated like I was. Mr Van Empel made a very snide comment about me reporting them to the VSA as by this time the VSA had contacted them and he also made a side comment that I had no business contacting the bank about cancelling the loan application. And finally because I was not giving in, they decided after all that they could send me an etransfer after telling me for more than three weeks that they couldn't. They had my money for 6 weeks and they ended up paying storage fees all because of arrogance and stupidity and feeling they could intimidate me. Instead of 28 days of bullshit it could have been dealt with in less than a week. Be very aware especially if you are out of the province of BC. All of these people have shown me how dishonest and unscrupulous they can be, if anyone says "trust me" just run as fast as you can. And then Daniel Cook calls ME a psycho bitch. Service department is seriously lacking. The service manager is incredibly condescending, rude and enjoys talking down to people - particularly women, it seems. They damaged my vehicle during their repairs, and claimed I did it! They never did repair it properly - I won't be going back any time soon. read more
