I was…read morescheduled for a Monday to drop my vehicle off for repair repairs, believing that that Time works for the company to be able to start working on my vehicle. I only had this vehicle so to be without it I let them know was kind of an issue so I was hoping for a quick turn on process. After my vehicle sat with them for nearly 4 days I found out that they had done nothing except assessed the damage. I also had to request updates from them or I didn't hear anything. They submitted multiple claims to my insurance told me they couldn't work on my car until they were approved. The next week work on my car started it needed a fender replaced, and the collision center received three ones that were unusable before getting the fourth one. At this point, my truck was still not even near completion nearly 2 weeks after dropping it off at an appointment that they provided me with.. nearly 3 weeks after dropping my truck off with them. I was told it's ready to pick up and I had a friend collected due to my work hours and their business hours. After having my truck home for a day, I realize something was wrong. One of the main issues was the passenger side front door and now it sounded like it came off of a tin can sounded completely different than the other three doors on the vehicle. I sent them videos, they claimed that they didn't know the sound of my door because they didn't drive it all the time and it was an issue of them not putting enough material in the door to make it match the sound of any other door on the vehicle. Luckily I was able to have them come to my work pick up the vehicle fix it and bring it back to me.. Maybe my expectations are high , but nothing about this experience was what I expected. The communication was very bad. I wasn't told anything until I asked about it, the timeframe for work to be completed was horribly slow granted some of that may have been out of their control, and then the best part they returned my vehicle to me and it wasn't completed properly after nearly three weeks on being without my only vehicle. Sadly, I would not recommend this company to anybody who does not have the patience or time to let them go as slow as they do or let them take away. The process was easy to find a Tesla approved and State Farm approved place with good reviews. I met Leslie the first appointment to have the damage assessed. She was very friendly, professional and informative on the process. She did let me know beforehand Tesla parts sometimes take a while to come in so she was asking for my patience in advance (I totally appreciate the heads up). After the assessment was done by the technician, an estimate was sent to the insurance who approved to proceed. They took a deposit before part ordering. I called frequently to get updates since I had to coordinate with my work schedule. Once all the parts came in, I dropped off my car for repair. During the repair process, Leslie did send auto messages for an update so I was kept in the loop. The repairs finished within 2 weeks. However, after going through the car wash. I identified a water look inside the cabin. I emailed and called Leslie so she could see my photo of the issue. She requested for me to bring it in for inspection when I got the chance. Second appointment, she squeezed me in the morning of. Had it assessed and it was identified as a seal issue. Another appointment was set to have car dropped off for revision repair. Unfortunately, they do not offer rentals for their service revisions. She informed me it would only Take a day so I borrowed my husbands car in the interim. After the one full day, the vehicle was ready to pick up. She was apologetic about the inconvenience. Told me to keep an eye on it but they sealed it really good this time. No leaks so far! Act I: The Premature Release Following a collision on May 22, 2026, my 2020 Toyota Sienna was remanded to Fix Auto Anaheim through Mercury Insurance for repair. Up until the accident, the van had zero transmission or drivability issues. Repairs were originally scheduled for completion around June 22, but I received a call on June 8 stating the vehicle was fully restored and ready for pickup. Act II: Dismissed Complaints & Undocumented Repairs The moment I drove off the lot, the vehicle felt wrong, and the radio stopped functioning properly. I turned right around and returned it the same day. Management immediately tried to brush it off, claiming the issues were caused by "aftermarket equipment" a completely unsupported claim given the vehicle's clean pre-accident operating history. I was told to come back the next day since it was 4:45 PM and the technicians went home for the day. I returned the next day. This time, a technician removed a side panel, took me in the back and showed me damaged wiring components that were never mentioned in my original repair plan, and did a quick 5-minute fix. Relying on their implied professional expertise, I left with the car without thinking anything of it. However, I later discovered this physical intervention was never documented on a supplemental estimate or added to my repair invoice. Which created an even bigger disaster with Mercury. Act III: Catastrophic Highway Failure Less than 10 days later, on June 18, the vehicle suffered a total transmission failure on Interstate 5. It lost all driving capability in live traffic. Obviously was a massive safety hazard and had to be towed off the highway. When contacted that day I was told their computers were down, they basically washed their hands of the situation, stating body shops don't handle mechanical repairs. And they checked the codes (I have a feeling they did not check for codes or just cleared the codes and gave me the car) While I understand body shops and mechanical shops have different specialties, I had reported drivability concerns the exact day I picked up the van. Act IV: The Evidence (Forensic Mechanical Teardown) I had the van towed to an independent licensed facility, where an official inspection and complete transmission teardown were conducted. The diagnostic findings were severe: Stored Fault Codes: Diagnostic scans revealed a flood of transmission and torque-converter clutch failure codes (P0740, P0741, P0745, P0775, P2713, P2714, and P2756). Teardown Evidence: The teardown revealed normal fluid levels alongside extensive internal destruction, burnt friction material, scored machined surfaces, and severe heat discoloration across the clutch drums and valve body. The Cost: A $7,208.05 replacement estimate. The Bottom Line I am not making an unqualified legal declaration of causation here. That is for the forensic mechanical inspection and insurance adjusters to finalize. What I am calling out is Fix Auto Anaheim's failure in their duty of care. James Norman, my advisor was very detailed and very professional handling my claim with Allstate insurance. He made sure that I got the most out of my claim making sure that I got all brand new OEM factory parts to get my car back to its factory condition. He actually called around looking for dealers where they had promotions going to get the best price on OEM parts. James, gave me updates from time to time during the time my car got taken into the facility. The workmanship at this repair shop has always been flawless.
