I had 2 referrals to this cartelligent office from friends so I was excited to work with them. My initial phone calls with Chris Miller were great. It went downhill after I agreed to work with them and submitted my $500 payment. I'm now going to seek a refund. Two Friday's ago, Chris promised (verbally) that he would get back to me with quotes the next week on the specific car I'm looking for, once I complete the payment on Monday. The entire week goes by without a phone call or email. Today I sent an email asking if there's an update. I get an automatic out of office reply. Chris failed to mention that he is planning to be on vacation for the entire week. I had stated in my initial contact message and on the phone that I'm looking to purchase a car within the next few weeks, so he should be aware that not transferring me to a coworker is unacceptable. Does he think it's ok to leave new customers hanging like that without a response for 2 weeks after signing a contract? Finally I called their primary number and was transferred twice (fine) and eventually asked to work with Cassie. The woman on the phone promised that Cassie would call back in the next 30 minutes. She did not. I received and missed her phone call 2 hours later when I was unavailable. UPDATE: Doug, one of the managers, personally reached out to me via phone and email to rectify the situation. I'm not sure why everyone in the bay area doesn't buy their cars through cartelligent because they find the best deals, make it actually pleasant, not to mention fast, charge a very reasonable brokerage fee, and deliver exceptional service. Paper signing when I arrived to pick up the car took less than 10 minutes. Bottom line is I've saved money, time and the sanity I would lose if I had to go to a dealer. I just leased my first EV. This was my first (and will be my last) buying experience thru Cartelligent. I had heard the they delivered the car you want, at the best price, with high touch service. That was not at all what I got. It was the car, but I am not sure it was the best deal, but the reason for this rating was the poor service I received at every step along the process. Once my car was located, I was passed off to the dealership to do the paperwork with someone I had never met. It was so impersonal and so transactional. I had no direct contact with the Cartelligent salesperson (Aaron) for the deal or instructions on the close. I was pressure sold a service package by a salesman with a dealership I will never see. I sent an electronic downpayment and that was it. No appreciation at all. What a letdown of a luxury car purchase. Then there was the delivery experience. It was awful. The car was a day late and the guy who delivered it knew less than nothing about the car. I got no orientation, no help with the tech (that still doesn't work), no help at all, and absolutely no thank you for leasing a car. So unprofessional. Another big let down. I reached out the the Cartelligent sales person about getting the tech fixed. He then passed me off again the the dealership where an assistant called me to try and help but just made it all worse. It was a series of really poor customer service experiences. I never heard from the dealership again. They just took my money and left me very dissappointed. Bottom line, I hold Cartelligent responsible for my terrible experience. I really wish I had gone directly to my local dealership and leased the car directly with the people I will now go to for service. Cartelligent did not deliver any added value for me, just the opposite. The worst car lease expereince I have ever had. I cannot recommend Cartelligent at all. read more
