The reason cited: "Carvana failed to get buyers their titles within a 20-day period specified under law and in some cases were four to six months late ..." Fraud? My wife was due to take delivery on a Carvana vehicle in two days. No word frol QA a the company that it wasn't coming ... nothing. I called them and had our filled reviewed. This is the second time I've used Carvana to sell my car. Each time what stood out were 1) very competitive purchase price; 2) ease of transaction and 3) expedient customer service. Each time they purchased my cars for more than I would have gotten from a dealership. Arranging the transaction online was very easy and understandable. Everything went smoothly and quickly. The day of pick up, the young man who did the inspection and took my keys (and gave me my payment) was very professional and courteous. He kept me informed as to expected time of arrival; when he got here, he explained everything clearly. Now the only thing I am waiting for is to see that my lender has been paid off. Don't buy a car here, i paid 2k for non refundable delivery to find out my new to me car had strong persistent odors that were not disclosed to me, My car did not get detailed there was literal garbage inside my car... i had to pay 350$ for a detail with ozone to fight the odors, and was offered 100$ from carvana for my inconvenience this company is laughable i see it's a common issue that they don't clean the cars and sell cars with smoke, puke, and worse smells that they do not disclose have u ever sold a car and not have to disclose if someone smoked in it?!?! no so they should have to disclose odors especially when the shipping is not refundable... i would have not ordered my car if i had know in advance... Easy, quick process. The only issue I had was I had a previous appointment at 7PM. Chicago traffic is brutal and I stayed on the phone to speak to someone up until I drove in their lot. Don't ever buy from Carvana. The convenience is not worth it. First of all, they put on all their listings that the car passed a Carvana "150 point inspection," but any or even most of this inspection can just be a straight up lie and there is no resolution for you, no consequences. They can literally just put whatever they want on that list even if it's not true. In my situation, the instant I turned on the car I noticed that the touch screen didn't work, meaning I couldn't connect my phone to Bluetooth. When I plugged my phone in via USB, it played music, but the left speaker is dead. The Carvana "150 point inspection" said that the sound system and center display worked perfectly, which was obviously a lie unless it somehow stopped working in transit. Despite the fact that they falsely advertised a $25k car, the only options are to either repair the car under their warranty (inconvenient, especially in my situation for reasons I won't explain), or return the entire vehicle. Neither of these work for me. They do not offer any kind of credit or compensation for the false advertising. You are better off going to a dealership where you can see and test the vehicle YOURSELF to make sure it works as advertised. Update: it turns out Carvana ALSO NEVER PROVIDED ME WITH THE FUCKING REGISTRATION CARD!!! Either the idiot who delivered the car didn't provide it when he gave me the keys or the idiot whose job it was to mail it to me never mailed it. Either way, fucking morons. I called them to ask them where it is and they literally just told me to go request a duplicate card from the Secretary of State Office. They said they have no way of looking into what happened to the original registration or why I didn't receive it. They said I could send a proof of purchase to Carvana and they would refund me the fee to get a duplicate card. But what about my time? What about my energy? Why the fuck am I going to the DMV to correct your mistake? What happens if I have to pay late fees on my city sticker if I can't get my registration card in time so I can buy a fucking sticker? Do not buy from Carvana... I ended up buying at a dealership... *Update* Cancelled my order and bought elsewhere. Initial "purchase" on January 4th. I felt pressed to order fast since they had a timer on the website that said if I ordered it within the next few hours, it was guaranteed to be delivered on January 8th. Here are all the different delivery dates that were promised: January 8th- Cancelled January 10th- Cancelled January 14th- Cancelled January 17th- Cancelled January 21st- Rescheduled again today. If it doesn't get delivered by this date or sooner, I'm cancelling the order and going elsewhere. The initial ordering was smooth, confirming funds wasn't so bad, multiple calls to customer service, promised comps, multiple car insurance cancellations due to delays, and messing up my schedules to be available for the "delivery dates". I attempted to buy a car last month and was working on the financing. I had gotten everything in order given their time frame and they delayed my pick up date by more than a week. At first I decided to wait but with no clear indication other than "shipping delays" didn't sit well with me. I had talked to customer care previously and they had made it seemed like for me to get the vehicle I just har to hurry up with getting the documents over to do then which I did. I even got the insurance policy paid in advance to avoid any issues. So to just get a text push notification that they moved my pickup date to a time that didn't work didn't not sit right with me. I decided to cancel my purchase and go to another place that had the car. Also upon seeing the car taken off the app and then re-listed for more money makes me wonder if that's the reason they delayed it. read more

It was on build sheet and they verified it should have been in the car so for my trouble they offered me 100 bucks???? I wouldnt have picked this car without cruise. DIRTY IN A HURRY. Me and my wife bought our first electric vehicle from Carvana vending machine at its Oak Brook location. A 2020 nissan leaf, our appointment to pick up the car and leave our old vehicle as a trade was at 6:45 pm everything good, smooth, and so exciting to see our kids so happy on inserting the token into the vending machine to receive the vehicle. After all this nice experience, we got into the new car and drove away home very excited all of us for this electric car. The next day, first thing in the morning, we drove to the nearest charging station for a full charge. A few days later and after we installed a 240 V electrical outlet at the garage for charging purposes we check for the car charger into the trunk and it was a Ford brand 120V charging cable, non compatible with our electric outlet of 240v we previously install. Without mention, the car was dirty. All the interiors were just wiped out on top of the dog or cat hair and dust with some kind of shiny spray product to make it look good at first. The rear wiper blade was completely gone. it needed a new one. I consider a minor thing all this. I can clean and vacuum, the car, not a problem. The new wiper blade is just 15 dollars, not a problem. we get a new one. But the car charger cable from nissan costs around 2000 dollars from the dealer. It is supous to come with the car included,but for my inexperienced and not check completely everything on this car between the 7 days period for returning the car they told me can't be nothing done about it. Sorry for the inconvenience. We are happy with the car. I just hope the description of the vehicle when I was looking at it online was saying something about this charging cable. Fortunately, there are after-market charging cables a lot cheaper than the OE, but of course, it is not OE. I almost forgot to mention the rat droppings in the motor compartment under the hood. Rat can do a lot of damage to wires when they eat wire insulation. Check check check if you decide to buy a car from here and let them know asap to avoid anyissues. May 15 of 2023. This is just a follow-up on our experience of the EV vehicle we got from Carvana on May 2nd of 2023. This past weekend, to be exact , last Saturday, the 13. Silver Rock Carvana's warranty provider just told me by text, " Good news, due to your vehicle mileage, your car still under manufacturer warranty, take it to Nissan." I'll include a picture of the Automotive shop invoice and the damaged area for the rats. Remember, we just realized one day after the 7 days of money back warranty. This is the explanation for Carvana representatives to us. They told us no problem, we can do nothing because the 7 days just passed, but talk to Siver Rock they will take care of your concerns. Yeah, right! Please, if you don't want to end like us, bring your own mechanic to the pickup process, or just by with your trusted dealer, don't worth the headache, even if the agree to fix or replace the vehicle is very inconvenient to have to deal with it. My car is 2020 model with only 15k miles and still some problems on it. The car never was in the inspection process because otherwise, I would not have to go through all this frustrating situation. BUYER BEWARE! Carvana sells cars that are mechanically unsafe & then won't stand behind their own word to fix the issues. First car, arrived and was inspected by my auto shop. It immediately showed SIGNIFICANT engine faults on the computer as well as a BEVY of other very significant issues. I returned it. Then car #2 - they gave me 2 options 1) fix the brakes, headlight cover & cruise control and deliver a week late or 2) deliver it and I can take it to a rapair facility and they would 100% cover the cost w/no issues at all. Well, I did option 2 and guess what? They denied the claim. Now they refuse to fix my brake issue they told me would be 100% covered as it was not to their quality standards. I called both Silver rock the warranty company and Carvana and am being stonewalled. They put it in writing and I have the photos attached. Now, they wont fix it. DO NOT BUY FROM CARVANA. They scheduled a pickup date of April 5th. Since then they have had Unforeseen Circumstances witch pushed my delivery date to April 17th. When I pushed them on it, letting them know that I wouldn't be in the state on April 17th, they (on a third phone call) moved it to April 14th. Today I got an email about unforeseen circumstances again pushing the delivery to April 17th. Now I am unable to pick up until April 21st. They make you pay a $1,990 transport fee which is non refundable. If I cancel (which I should) I am out that $1,990 for a vehicle that cannot get transported anywhere on time. They don't care about your time and are not convenient. EDIT: Olivia O, I called and it made things worse for you. The reason it isn't being delivered on time is because it doesn't fit on the transporter. That's what I found out from your advice to call. Piss poor planning on the part of Carvana. Another reason to not use them. They don't know how to plan to deliver your car so they just leave it and tell you to wait longer. They are only as good as their word, which is worthless. read more

I purchased a vehicle in 2020 while in a Chpt 13 BK. Everything went fine. Now, I decided to trade the vehicle for another. I went online, repeated the same process. Everything was going fine. I received a text to call for verification of information. The representative verified, then says "I see you're in a Chpt 13 BK so we can't go any further until you're discharged or closed. Really??? I was approved before and got the vehicle while in the same situation, now what's the problem?? First the confused representative said that I shouldn't have been approved back then. The she says the policy has changed since 2020. They let me go all the way until a few days before delivery to say this!!! I am very disappointed!! That was so UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I can now see why they were begging to keep business in Illinois!! I will not recommend this place! Nor will I do business with them ever again! Having bought two vehicles from Carvana in the last year, I assumed this latest purchase would go as smoothly, but it was a very poor experience from the beginning. Extreme shipping charge of $1300, which Carvana's own employees said usually means it is 1000+ miles away, yet the vehicle arrived in my state the next day. Carvana claimed it was damaged (broken tail light) in transit, and would require delivery to me be pushed back nearly a week. An additional $500 was required to get it to my home, which was again pushed back to after hours on a Friday. When I contacted Carvana for an adjustment to the shipping and/or delivery, got an apathetic employee who had plenty of attitude and sanctimony to share. This is the last purchase I will make with Carvana and will make sure anyone that asks about it knows how poorly it was handled. read more

I had a great experience with Carvana. They delivered the 1st car and I wasn't a huge fan (something felt wrong when I pressed on the breaks) so I decided to pass on it. The process to return it was smooth and Carvana took care of transferring my down payment and information over to a different car. We received the a new car and it was perfect. Jennifer was our car delivery person for the first car. Her customer service was above and beyond anything I would expect. She not only returned the car, she kept in touch via text to ensure I found the right car. I work midnights so it's hard to communicate during the day because I am sleeping. I texted her at 7am and asked her if there was anyway they could put a hold on the car that we ended up getting. She put a 24 hour hold so that I could call customer service when I woke up. Once I got the new car (even though she didn't deliver it) she kept in touch to make sure it's what we wanted. I am telling you, this lady needs a promotion ASAP. read more
