Very disrespectful wish I could give zero stars, my girlfriend and I were immediately told to take our hats off mind you we have been coming here for 10 years never had an issue with Hats . Apparently it's a new rule of their dress code that is not even displayed properly and or at all. We sat at the bar, kept our hats on and felt like all eyes were on us. Sorry we like to wear hats as we left we said something to the owner he immediately defended himself and raised His voice, got hot and heavy with us and said this is our new policy. I replied well I don't see it listed anywhere not even on your website no dress code nothing he didn't wanna hear it. He proceeded to get very defiant and angry, I asked him to calm down politely, and I think that made him more angry I find this type a professionalism inadequate and unstable Poor management. I have to say this restaurant deserves five stars! Coming from out of town we went by yelp to find an Italian restaurant. Casa Bella does not disappoint. We ordered to go but arrived early and enjoyed a drink at the bar with a fried mozzarella appetizer. I ordered the chicken with prosciutto on top and it was amazing. It had tortellini on top cooked perfectly (chicken bolognese ). my fiancé ordered chicken Rossini. everything was so flavorful. The sauces were a excellent complement to the chicken and we shared it with our friends once we got home. The cheese ravioli is amazing. The lasagna was reported as good and the grilled chicken and steam broccoli was prepared well for someone who is health conscious. I highly recommend going here. The staff were very nice and customer service oriented while we waited for food. The restaurant has stairs but I'm sure they have handicap access is too. read more

Dude, what is happening? I am so confused - nay, I am PERPLEXED - as to how this place has good ratings. This was the worst experience I've had at a restaurant in years. We made a reservation for 7:30 but we were in the area so we got there around 6:00 and asked if there was seating available. They said no, but that a table should open within 20-30 minutes. Fine. We sat at the bar where the bartenders were nice and knowledgable, but also took over 10 minutes to greet us (the bar is sincerely approximately 12-15 seats). It took them nearly an hour to seat us at our table. The outdoor area upstairs is cute and is raised off the parking lot which is nice; good view of the lake as well. It took our server a while to come over to us with menus, and then longer to take the order. It only went downhill from here, too. We ordered the Honey Ginger Calamari as an appetizer. It was not good, but if I knew how bad the rest of the meal would be, I would've eaten more of it. This was a sickly-sweet, bad-take-out quality sauce. I hardly touched this, because I figured the pasta would be better. Right guys? Right? .... no? My partner ordered the bolognese. Not only was the sauce terrible, but the pasta was legitimately raw. Yes, raw. When he went to pick up some spaghetti it stuck STRAIGHT OUT TO THE SIDES. He sent it back right away - and you are talking about someone who I've seen eat 2 YEARS EXPIRED FROZEN FOOD out of his fridge!! - and we decided to just split mine. I ordered the penne Siciliana and I don't have words for how bad this was. It felt like someone accidentally (well, I hope accidentally, because no one on the planet could think this was good) knocked an entire salt shaker onto my plate. Jarred grocery store marinara is better. KETCHUP on pasta is better. The eggplant was basically non-existent. We both tried to pick on this and we, two grown adults who hadn't eaten since 11AM, legitimately made it less than 1/16 of the way through. When the busser stopped by and we asked him to take it away, he was legitimately CONFUSED because there was that much food left. We voiced our displeasure with our waiter who was, to his credit, very nice, and offered to replace the dishes, but it was just a lost cause to me. We asked them to take both entrees off the bill. The manager came over and I thought he would be sympathetic to our plight but he was actually extremely aggressive. He raised his voice at us and INFORMED me that I ATE my meal, which was hilarious. He didn't seem to really care about how bad things were- just that I didn't ask to send mine back (?) why would I send it back and get something else if everything we got was inedible? Anyway, they eventually relented and took both entrees off, but the damage was done. Honestly, if they had comp'ed the entrees without question and didn't get in my face about it, I probably wouldn't have written this. If you can't tell from the bulk of my reviews, I don't LIKE to complain. I'm especially not here to disparage restaurants during a pandemic, but this, to me, was not only bad food, but bad management. The bill still came to over $50 and I basically did not eat. Guys, we had to GO OUT TO DINNER AFTERWARDS, that's how little we ate here. Anyway, at the following restaurant we went to, we explained what happened at this restaurant, and the waiter there told me he heard this place is having staffing issues, so maybe that's part of the issue. Had a reservation here for Easter (2 pm- late lunch/early dinner). My husband and I arrived early- as we live far away and there was not one parking spot to be found. We figured out how to get around the back of the building, and managed to find a spot on the street but with signage from the neighboring beach club it wasn't clear where it was ok to park (waiters inside told us DO NOT park in the Lake Arrowhead Club lot, even though they were closed, because they would have you towed). As I said, we arrived about 20 min early so we headed to the bar to have a drink. My husband asked for a wine list (by the glass) and was only verbally offered a handful of wine types- when we sat at our table later we saw a much more extensive by the glass list. After sitting at the bar for 10 min, we kept hearing the hostess tell people (even though they had a reservation) the wait was "going to be a while", so I told him to go and check in. He acknowledge we were early (and still waiting for a few more in our party), and was told "it's going to be a while". When he asked how long he got an extremely nasty response from the hostess that she didn't know and our whole party wasn't even there yet. I get it was a holiday- but we did have a reservation, how do you not even have an estimate of how long we'll need to wait for a table. Once we sat things got better- our waitress was very attentive and we got bread and bruschetta, water and drinks almost immediately. They had a decent amount of specials (entrees and appetizers). Some of the items we got were the burrata and prosciutto appetizer, a lamb chop special, their Sunday gravy (which they touted as their well known special), chicken parm, and the chicken sorrentino. Everything was just OK. The chicken sorrentino had a weird smoky flavor to it. We did all have dessert- spumoni, pistachio semifreddo, carrot cake and a cannoli, which were all good. read more

We hosted our sons baptism lunch there last weekend. We had 50 people. Pros: the food! Everyone loved the food! We did 3 meal options plus family style apps and everything was at least 4 out of 5 stars. Cons: the service. 1 out of 5 stars. They made us feel like we were a bother. The space was too small and the main waiter literally pushed me and my 4 year daughter out of his way. He later apologized but it was not ok. Wow. This place was so yummy. We came here on a Sunday morning after being in the area. They serve bruschetta and bread and butter on being seated. The menu was large but they turned out to be out of sole which minimizes the seafood option. I ordered the grilled seafood platter and was blown out of my mind by the char and flavor without it being over powering. The white fish in the platter was the best I've tasted. It comes with deliciously buttered veggies, and mashed potatoes. My bf got the shrimp scampi and it was so richly delicious. This is the Italian food you simply can't get in urban areas. They provide complimentary bruschetta which we gobbled up & some good bread. The menu is pretty big & there is always a lot of specials as well that are on a piece of paper so that you don't have to try to remember them plus it includes the price. They make the best martini's here! Our shrimp/crabmeat martini app was delish & the tai-color salad was good but it hardly had any endive in it. My husband loved the steak special & my veal chop w/gnocci was outstanding - plenty of leftovers! Desserts were great & coffee wasn't bad but I've had better. Only negative is the tiny parking lot. When you want to charge close to $20 for a half plate of vegetarian food, you better provide some decent service. I don't care what time it is. If you don't have the patience, let people know you won't take anyone after 8pm. Came here on a Friday night after work, craving italian. Surprisingly, I had to wait for about 10 minutes for a table. The food while delicious, lacked salt for my taste. My friend who is a sodium freak said it was just the right amount. Came to this restaurant for the first time 20 years ago and STILL had the same wonderful experience. The food is fresh and it is definitely an upscale restaurant but I didn't feel out of place. The only part of the experience that could be improved is the amount of meat in the dish. I understand that everything is fresh but if I am paying $20 for a pasta dish with five little pieces of sausage and a TON of broccoli then it should be mentioned. We made reservations for 6pm and were sat promptly at a ridiculously small table squished by two others, very busy very loud restaurant. The complimentary bruschetta was outstanding, quality tomato and hardly any onion (which I loathe). We went for the oyster special (big portion) and shrimp cocktail (3 shrimp for $14...they were decent). Dinner was outstanding, loved my chicken Marsala and my husband's veal parmigiana was great too. Nice Italian restaurant. Great appetizers, calamari diablo pasta and tiramisu. Unpopular opinion: I really didn't like the chicken parmigiana. The chicken was soaked in an extremely watery tomato sauce that lacked any flavor and the dish was mildly warm. Unfortunately I had to return it. Our appetizers were great and I highly recommend any of their appetizers generally. jumbo cocktail shrimp (comes with 3 pieces of shrimp) Fried calamari in honey garlic sauce Grilled artichoke and buffalo mozzarella. Comes with grilled bell pepper. Really delicious. For entrees (apart from chicken parm) we got: Calamari al diablo - linguine pasta with calamari in a spicy tomato sauce. Delicious! Was my favorite pasta dish. Seafood entree- comes with a lobster tail, scallops, salmon, cod and shrimp. Along with sautéd vegetables. Was okay. Salmon was very dry as well as the lobster, scallops were cooked really well. Scallops entree - scallops were cooked well and came with a delicious sauce, sautéed veggies and mash potatoes. Really good dish. For dessert: We got the ice cream bomb dish - basically an ice cream ball covered in chocolate. We got the raspberry which was okay We also got the combo plate - cannoli, tiramisu and a piece of a chocolate vanilla ice cream bomb. The tiramisu was fantastic and well as the cannoli filling. Being from Oklahoma I feel like we are extremely naive to true Italian food. This place was recommended by a local and was our favorite meal while in Jersey. All the food tasted so fresh. From the complimentary bruschetta to the pasta. I had never tried Vodka sauce until here and now I'm not sure how I will live without it. It had such a rich smooth taste. The seafood tasted so fresh and the portions were spot on. The waiter was a good sport being we had such a hard time understanding his accent.
