Family & I , gave casa canela a try. Service was okay,food was cold , & lacked flavor. I ordered the charro beans , they were super bland. I asked for tortillas , they told me that's considered a side. I was like wth. That's standard at Mexican restaurants , you always get tortillas with your dish. Far from being authentic Mexican food. , prices are sky high . Definitely not up to bar with the menu. Sad to say I will not give them another opportunity. We usually go to the one in Saugus which is AMAZING!...Decided to try the new SR location for dinner on Saturday and everything was delicious! Server Orlando was such a sweetheart too. Place was super clean and also everyone was attentive and gave top notice service. They kept checking on us to make sure everything was okay. Can't wait to go back to try more of the dinner food (Specifically the ceviche). Also excited to try breakfast which is always delicious as well! read more

The worst most overpriced mexican food I've had in Santa Clarita. The chicken in the tacos was dry and had zero flavor, why not marinade the chicken in some citrus style marinade or something? Everything we ate was so satisfyingly delicious. The ceviche platter was filling and the seafood was portioned nicely. The kids in our party enjoyed the salsa trio - warning on the rojo, the heat doesn't kick in right away, but it wasn't torture. Our servers were very attentive and checked in on us throughout the meal and filled our drinks without us having to call their attention. Being that this was the old Coco's? Always looking for a new Sunday breakfast option. We were seated and sat there for quite awhile until someone walked by and asked how everything was (we had not even ordered beverages yet) Finally ordered, food came, 1 French toast combo, 1 bacon and cheese omelette combo, 1 chorizo and eggs. Chorizo was some of the worst ever, the French toast was dry and not very tasty, and the omelet was cold...... the cheese was not even melted and some of the bacon in it was raw. All three of us left most of our meal ( a first for my family ) after our meal came no one ever came by to check on us or refill our drinks, not once! The place is clean and looks nice, but service was basically nonexistent, food was terrible and pretty pricey ( $73 for breakfast for 3 ? ) will definitely not be returning and will not be recommending it to anyone else. We went in and looked at the place because it's close to us and it used to be a Coco's. The place was dead empty maybe two or three diners. it was about 4:00 and we asked if they had any specials or happy hour. They said no. I asked as a new place wouldn't you try to get business going by doing that? They said they didn't need to. I said well it's 4:00 on a Wednesday and you have three people in here. We sat down and looked at the menu and we were not impressed at all. Everything was expensive so we got up and left. I was hoping it would be better than that but it wasn't. We walk in there get seated and the service was fantastic, the server genuinely was the nicest guy ever and he proceeded to reccomend the best options for my food.
