Our friends covered the 20% tip for the entire table on their card to even out what we each owed. I specifically remember crossing out the tip line on our receipt because we had discussed with our friends that they were covering the tip. The next day, when our credit card charge posted, we noticed that an additional $40 had been added to our card as a tip. Our server was Oliver. My husband immediately called the restaurant and spoke with a manager, Luis. Luis was very nice and professional about the situation. He was able to look at the restaurant's copy of our receipt and agreed to refund the $40. He also offered us complimentary margaritas if we came back, which we appreciated. The filet mignon tacos were good, and I appreciate how Luis handled our call, but after this experience I don't think we would feel comfortable returning.
