My husband and I were craving mexican food. Since we are new to the area I had asked for recommendations and Casa Cruz just caught my attention. The Chile Verde was awful all you can taste is hot peppers, they are overpriced and the seafood was awful.

I ordered the mole chicken enchiladas, the waitress brought me enchiladas with red sauce...when I reminded her I ordered mole she said "oh sorry we're out of mole" so basically she didn't inform me in advance and give me the option of ordering something else because she thought I wouldn't notice the sauce was different. If I could leave 0 stars I would! This doesn't pertain to the food cause I wouldn't know since I never ate at Casa Cruz before, last Sunday was my first time walking in with a group of 15 we sat down at our table when they refused us service and asked us to leave. My husbands cousin is disabled and requires a professional trained and certified service dog to go with her everywhere, they waited for us to all sit down at our table and than asked us to leave. My husbands aunt went to politely talk to the manager in private and he said people have complained in the past for other service dogs and we went on to ask the manager if any one had complained today and he said no and asked us to leave, my husbands aunt further explained how this is illegal and the manager said "I know" and refused the right to serve us! It was not right and SHAME ON YOU Casa Cruz for denying and kicking out a true disable woman out of your restaurant! What a shame on your establishment!!! I have lived here my whole life and I will tell everyone about your horrible and immoral service and to NEVER step foot in your business again!!! read more

Well, Casa Cruz failed again. A party of 15 went there and one person had disabilities. They had the service dog with them and they refused them service because of the dog. That is against the law!!!! I told them to report the restaurant to: https://www.ada.gov/contact_drs.htm. Let them get fined and regularly inspected now. Shame on Casa Cruz. They asked my entire family to leave the restaurant because my sister service dog. My sister is physically disabled and needs her dog for assistance. My family was there after visiting the cemetery as a family for our cousin/brothers birthday. He passed away last year. The dog is very well behaved a very expensive dog actually. We've lived in Beaumont for 12 years and never tried this place. Thanks to Yelp I found it and now we have a local go to mexican restaurant. It's a very small, simple restaurant. The booth we sat in had ripped seats. I'll easily overlook that if the food is good. The chips are good and warm. The salsa is very fresh and flavorful. They also give you beans to scoop with the chips. I ordered mole chicken enchiladas. This is the second restaurant that I've ever found to carry mole. My husband ordered a carne asada torta. My teenager got cheese enchiladas. The food arrived in about 15-20 minutes. My husband immediately said his torta was really good. My boy liked his enchiladas. I really enjoyed the mole enchiladas. They were very generous with the chicken. The rice was fluffy and flavorful. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. The prices are totally reasonable. We'll be back soon. read more

We happened to be going to an event in Banning and wanted To find a Mexican restaurant in the area. We found Casa Cruz thru Yelp. It's seems to be a great family restaurant. I normally do not rate restaurants but I enjoyed their food. I had a Chili Colorado Wet burrito. It was awesome. My wife also enjoyed her tostada. The only suggestion for the management would be to clean your menu covers. They were kinda sticky which could be a turn off for some. read more

Prior to stopping in for breakfast I read the Yelp reviews. In Italian its a Mortar e Pestello, I don't know the Mexican name of it. The food comes in the rock bowl part. I described the dish to the server and she showed me a picture of it to confirm that was it. So we ordered it. It was just my son and I for breakfast. Wow this was a feast. I have never had a dish like this. It looked like a advertisement in a magazine. It was hot, colorful, tasty, it was over the top. There was grilled beef, shrimp, Mexican sausage, cactus, onions, bell peppers, chicken, grilled cheese, and a bunch more I forgot. I was in love! We are both big eaters and we comfortably finished it, and we each got a seperate plate of beans and rice, with tortillas, all included with the bowl. Oh and the smell when it was on the table was fantastic. The customer service was just as helpful and attentive as could be. Can't wait to go back. read more

We arrived shortly before closing time. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The Chili Colorado was the best I have ever tasted. The meat was fall apart tender. The spices were well blended and provided a symphony of flavor on the palate. The rice was perfectly located before cooking. All this made the beans seem ordinary in comparison! Well waited 1.5 years since last visit. Tortilla situation has not changed got corn instead of 8" flour tortillas. (Small for a large bowl of menudo $12.99, tortillas .99 for two ought to increase with bowl size ordered). Menudo large is quite a good size but meat to soup ratio is weak. You eat the meat and 2/3 of broth is left in bowl. Tortillas are left on comal too long got too crunchy from burns. Coffee $2.79 refilledonce, but was not asked if I'd like more. Waitresses show no teamwork, they had 2 but not attentive. May try them in a few years to see if things have changed. Salsa was not refilled or asked if I wanted more. We tried Casa Cruz for the first time today. The place is nice and clean, which is always a plus. We were greeted and seated right away. I had read other reviews saying that the service wasn't very good, so I went in with that in mind. We did get our chips and salsa right away but we did have to wait a bit for our waitress to take our order. She was the only waitress there though so she was busy. We didn't wait too long to get our food after ordering. We expected to have to wait longer because there was a large party that ordered before us. I ordered a combination plate with a chile relleno and an enchilada. I was pleasantly surprised! Both were very good! My family all enjoyed their food as well. We will definitely return!! read more
