Yo. When I crave Mexican food, there are only a couple places I can pursue that craving...Casa Cruz is one of them. The building is old, it's in a random area, the ambience is a little mom and pop "diy"...HOWEVER, the food is whole-hearted homemade. I love coming here because the service is good and the chips...the CHIPS with their homemade salsa and bean dip...is what dreams are made of. I was introduced to Casa Cruz through my in-laws (they are regulars and live in the area). They said we HAD to try this little Mexican Restaurant because the quality of food is excellent...they were right! When we come we order the whole spread. Fajitas, quesadillas, carne asada fries, wet burrito....and my favorite...chicken mole. This time around I had the combo #13 Chicken Mole Enchiladas. They used shredded chicken breast and their brown sweet and spicy mole sauce...so good. I'm a mole lover (super picky about my mole) and this definitely got the thumbs up! I highly recommend if you are in the area and are craving a Mexican fix. It's definitely worth it, and prices are very fair!! read more

This authentic Mexican cultural cuisine is worth a visit, I especially enjoy the cactus and potato taco with ceviche ensalade on the side. Nice atmosphere and very convenient I10 freeway. I would give 0 if I could. I walked in on a Friday night, there was an older gentleman sitting, presumably waiting to be seated. I stood by the hostess stand for a good 7 or 8 minutes. There was another lady and her 2 kids, possibly part of the other waiting to be seated person's party. Not one person who worked there bothered to even say, "We'll be with you in a few minutes." We arrived early and I ordered shrimp enchilada with a chili relleno. This was served with rice and beans. This was one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever tried everything was the best ever. You can really tell when items are prepared from scratch. I will come back here when I am in the area. My family here already comes here and has always had a great meal. This establishment does not welcome disabled individuals accompanied by their service dogs. On April 24 I went there along with 15 other family members. We were told that we either had to eat outside or leave because a member of my family had her service dog. Management was aware that it is illegal to not allow a service animal into their establishment. Their reason was because customers will complain about the dog hair. I knew we stopped at the right location. I ordered the lunch special. Chili relleno with beans. Howard had the enchilada special. The shredded chicken soup was a master piece. The chili relleno was flavorful but a little disappointing. It was prefried and sitting in sauce, not my favorite way to get the chili relleno. Howard had the enchiladas lunch special. Went to try this place out because we were in the area. We ordered our food and there was only 3 other people in the restaurant besides us. It took a whole hour just to get our food when we did we took a couple bites & immediately our stomachs didn't feel right. We started sweating and feeling nauseous! As it got worse we both went to the bathroom. We still had quite a drive to do so we waited in the car with the air on to cool is down and drank some water. Don't pass this place up! At first glance, looks a little sketchy but as soon as you walk in you can see the outside seating with shade & nets to prevent flies, also a big plus was the water mist!! Felt so good to sit there with our Margaritas $12.50 each (which were really good & strong!) They don't have alcoholic drinks on the menu but they do have a full bar. So you can ask for any drink & the waitress will try to accommodate. The food!!! We were pleasantly surprised by this place, the flautas were my favorite, they were fried & delicious, had lots of chicken & the salsa was bomb. We got Carne Asada fries & those too were top notch. Guacamole, sour cream, beans, cheese all on warm crispy fries. The portions are pretty big but everything is delicious. Lastly the waitress was so nice & she was so patient with us because we were so indecisive at first. She was super sweet. Great service! I would definitely come here again whenever I'm in the area. I am Hispanic and a huge critic of Mexican food. I ABSOLUTELY loved everything! The chips and salsa were great. I had an enchilada suiza, rice and beans. The rice was as tasty as my grandma used to make. The beans were delish and my husbands carnitas were awesome! He said they were not dry nor greasy!
