    De colores and La Silvia

What a charming place! Food was excellent and authentic, had the de colores and la Silvia for brunch. Everything was delicious. All new place very nice remodel, family was very sweet and friendly. Service was fast, we ordered at the counter and were served at our table. Will definitely return! Welcome to LQ!

I would've never known about this place if it wasn't for the recommendation from the valet at the Grand Hyatt. They just opened about a month ago and aren't even on Yelp yet, but I'm so glad we came because they had some of the best chilaquiles I've had. It's counter service -- you order first and they bring the food to your table. The space is large with plenty of seating, and we didn't have to wait. We ordered the chilaquiles divorciados, which came half rojo and half verde, and added chorizo for extra protein. Both were super flavorful -- the rojo had a nice spicy kick while the verde had that tangy tomatillo flavor. The pan dulce French toast was lightly sweet with a little crunch, and adding strawberries and bananas made it even better. The jamaica guava drink was refreshing, and the horchata iced coffee was balanced, not overly sweet, with a nice cinnamon flavor. The food did take a little longer than expected, but we weren't in a rush. Overall, I would 100% recommend this spot and will definitely be back.

I really wanted to love this place because I've heard that the food was amazing! Well, the food was ok but the prices were extremely high for what you get and I honestly don't see anything special about this restaurant to excuse the high price. The service was also ok and we didn't really get a lot of help at the register when we ordered. My mom ordered the menudo and it wasn't all that great. What I will say is that their cafe de olla was pretty good.

The food at Casa de Silvia was incredible! The banana coffee was one of the best I've ever had. I ordered the De Colores tamales, which came with the most delicious beans, and my husband had the chilaquiles, packed with flavor and topped with amazing green and red sauces. My sister ordered La Silvia and couldn't stop talking about it, especially the homemade tortillas. We're also so glad we tried the French toast. I've never had anything like it before; it's made with pan dulce and was absolutely unforgettable. I'll be dreaming about it for a long time! We will definitely be back. The cherry on top was the outstanding service, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable.

This place is beautiful inside. I loved the pop of pink it's different then all these generic brunch spots. It is small and homey. The service was great, everyone was nice and welcoming. The food was served fast and it was delicious. I'm very picky with my chilaquiles and I love to try them from different restaurants only to be disappointed but not here at Casa de Silvia they were delicious. They serve big portions of food. The food definitely tastes home made which makes it so much better. The beans were delicious like mothers. They have a wide variety of dishes that I will definitely go back and try like their tamales. I recommend checking this place out if you're in La Quinta it's worth it.

I'm so glad you reopened. I was so sad to see you close your location in downtown Indio. Found out you reopened in La Quinta and I had to check it out. Smaller menu. Just as yummy as before. Staff is still the sweetest. Restaurant was beautiful. Clean, spacious, very open and not overcrowded with tables or decor. Can't wait to go back. Please please please consider bringing back your mole.

I am so happy to see them open again! The pan de dulce french toast were so good, the red chilaquiles are always a hit. Cafe de olla hot and the ollita iced were delicious.

I love casa de Silvia. It is one of my favorite breakfast/ brunch restaurants. The steak breakfast burrito is a must try! Their salsa is incredible and easily one of the best I've had. The ambiance and service are a 10/10 always. Highly recommend!

The ambiance Always feels warm and welcoming, with the food just as amazing as I remember-especially the cheese tamales and refried beans. Tacos dorado's is my new favorite, along with the new refreshing guava jicama drink. Sylvia always greets everyone with a smile, and makes you feel like family. The service is attentive all around and I'm so glad they've reopened!

Happy to see them reopen! I had been missing their chilaquiles, and they were just as delicious as I remembered. Great food, friendly staff, and attentive service. Can't wait to come back!

FACILITY: Looks like a diner, is a diner, and very nice and clean. MENU: Many selections, breakfast options may be overwhelming but you'll definitely find something you want. Lunch offers very good but standard options. FOOD PREP: Always, very well done for that Louise's Pantry is, they don't fake anything here. FOOD QUALITY: Excellent for this style of food. It is a great experience. WAITSTAFF: We've been here many times, and never have we run across anyone not upbeat, polite, and happy to see a customer. OVERALL VALUE: A bit on the expensive side but considering the amount of food they bring you, it is a fair deal. TIP: Unless you are Mr. Creosote (bonus points if you know that one) for $2.00 you can get a split plate and still have a huge portion. We usually go this way respecting the seats we are taking up.

The eggs needed seasoning, and the country potatoes were dry and lacked flavor, with only a couple of small pieces of onion and red pepper mixed in. My husband had the hash browns instead and felt his breakfast was just as bland. The service was pleasant, and the atmosphere was relaxed, but we were seated next to a broom, dustpan, and the bus cart for dirty dishes, which wasn't the best first impression. The restaurant also feels a bit dated. A few simple updates, like replacing the dusty artificial flowers and keeping cleaning supplies out of sight, would make a big difference. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but with so many great breakfast options in the area, we probably wouldn't return.

Since the first time we have visited this place a few times and have even invited our family over to try it out. There is indoor and outdoor seating. You order inside and they give you this number where you take to your table and they will bring the food out to you. There is also napkins, and water inside for you to grab for yourself. As for the food, I am someone that loves trying different things in hopes I find something I really like, so far I have really enjoyed their cheese danish and butter croissant. I have yet to find my favorite dish from here as I was not a big fan of the chicken and waffles as the oil or sauce from the chicken spread under my waffles & sort of had this weird after taste that I didn't enjoy much. The breakfast burrito was huge and just okay I think if I would customize it a bit I would love it more and the chicken pesto sandwich so far has been something that I enjoyed a bit. Just personal experience as I've seen so many other really love those items. When I find my favorite meals I will come back and update. I do like to note that my boyfriend on the other hand has stayed loyal to their BLT + egg sandwich since our first visit and recommends me to try it so maybe that will be next on my list when I visit again. Their matcha is also okay, the notes are leaning vegetal and I just prefer a more nutty savory matcha. The strawberry syrup they add is pretty good. Wouldn't get it again though.

Great brunch spot! We were visiting from out of town and were looking for somewhere to grab brunch…read more I checked Yelp and found Wilma & Frieda's and liked the reviews I read. The location was easy to find, ample parking too. The restaurant itself is kind of small (it's kind of more like a coffeehouse with a decent-sized table-service area), but we only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table on our second visit. (Yep, we liked it enough that we went twice during our trip!) The servers and staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful. The food was hot and delicious, and the portions were generous. And there were a good variety of savory and sweet brunch items to choose from. They also serve lunch and have a bakery counter, but I didn't look too hard at those parts of the menu because I knew I wanted the short-rib scramble as soon as I saw it on the online menu, haha! And the biscuits--oh my goodness, they are so good. They taste perfectly homemade and are pillow soft yet just the right amount of crumbly without being a dried, cracking mess. Across my 2 visits, I had the short-rib scramble (yum) and the Meany (basically eggs, sausage, potatoes, and a biscuit--yum), and my daughter had the biscuits and gravy, which she said was great. I highly recommend Wilma & Frieda's and will definitely go back on future Palm Springs trips.
