Im sorry to say i have to give Casa de Silvia a 3 star rating today we have been local loyal customers since they were open in old town indio. Expecting they would have had a better customer service in their new location it was the total opposite! Food has always been great, but prices were alot higher then usual breakfast restaurants, took us 45 mins to get 2 plates of food, we never got greeted in our table to make sure we werent missing a glass of water or utensils. And dont get me wrong having high prices isnt the issue but if your going to pay $100 for a breakfast of 2 persons please make sure your customer service is 100% great! If your over charging make sure you have extra waiters/ servers so nothing is missing in your tables. read more

We stopped by recently to get some breakfast. They used to have a location in Indio and have relocated to La Quinta. There is plenty of parking available. We stopped by before a rush around 11 a.m. The inside is spacious but quickly became full after we received our food. There were groups of people waiting for a table to become available. You place your meal order at the counter and then it is brought out to you when it is ready. We got chilaquiles rojos with carne asada and the de colores (tamal de queso y tamal de puerco). The food came out within fifteen minutes or so. The tamales were good. They were moist and had good flavor. The chilaquiles were also good. The red sauce was not spicy and had a smokey taste. I saw that they had matcha conchas. I definitely want to come back and try a few more items. Customer service was friendly. Overall, a nice place to get some food. read more

When you arrive proceed to the counter to place your order then pick your table. We ordered the French toast and the chiliquiles divorciados with a horchata iced coffee and ollita iced coffee. All of the food and drinks came out promptly and was delicious and fresh. The red sauce was a bit smokey/roasted which was really good. The green sauce had a tiny kick. I would've never known about this place if it wasn't for the recommendation from the valet at the Grand Hyatt. They just opened about a month ago and aren't even on Yelp yet, but I'm so glad we came because they had some of the best chilaquiles I've had. It's counter service -- you order first and they bring the food to your table. The space is large with plenty of seating, and we didn't have to wait. We ordered the chilaquiles divorciados, which came half rojo and half verde, and added chorizo for extra protein. Both were super flavorful -- the rojo had a nice spicy kick while the verde had that tangy tomatillo flavor. The pan dulce French toast was lightly sweet with a little crunch, and adding strawberries and bananas made it even better. The jamaica guava drink was refreshing, and the horchata iced coffee was balanced, not overly sweet, with a nice cinnamon flavor. The food did take a little longer than expected, but we weren't in a rush. Overall, I would 100% recommend this spot and will definitely be back. read more

I really wanted to love this place because I've heard that the food was amazing! Well, the food was ok but the prices were extremely high for what you get and I honestly don't see anything special about this restaurant to excuse the high price. The service was also ok and we didn't really get a lot of help at the register when we ordered. My mom ordered the menudo and it wasn't all that great. The chilaquiles divociados are outstanding! The best I've had in the Coachella Valley for sure. The chips were freshly made and perfectly crispy. The salsa verde and roja were homemade and very flavorful without being salty. I was initially disappointed they didn't serve mimosas but quickly thankful they weren't on the menu. The banana matcha horchata was impressive. I was surprised how much i enjoyed the drink but can't wait to have it again. read more

The food at Casa de Silvia was incredible! The banana coffee was one of the best I've ever had. I ordered the De Colores tamales, which came with the most delicious beans, and my husband had the chilaquiles, packed with flavor and topped with amazing green and red sauces. My sister ordered La Silvia and couldn't stop talking about it, especially the homemade tortillas. We're also so glad we tried the French toast. I've never had anything like it before; it's made with pan dulce and was absolutely unforgettable. I'll be dreaming about it for a long time! We will definitely be back. First time coming here. It is in a simple space on the outside but when you enter it is a well designed hip classy place. You can immediately tell the food will be homemade, authentic but on an upper level of taste and quality. The food was outstanding, the flavors were delicious, portions plenty and it felt like being in the home of Silvia. Had the homemade tamales and breakfast burrito. Both were scrumptious. This place is beautiful inside. I loved the pop of pink it's different then all these generic brunch spots. It is small and homey. The service was great, everyone was nice and welcoming. The food was served fast and it was delicious. I'm very picky with my chilaquiles and I love to try them from different restaurants only to be disappointed but not here at Casa de Silvia they were delicious. They serve big portions of food. The food definitely tastes home made which makes it so much better. The beans were delicious like mothers. They have a wide variety of dishes that I will definitely go back and try like their tamales. I recommend checking this place out if you're in La Quinta it's worth it. read more

I was very excited to come to Casa de Silvia but honestly the food wasn't great. The full original menu is not back. I used to order their enchilada plate and it wasn't available. I ended up ordering the chipotle chilaquiles and I didn't love. The customer service was very mid. When we paid it ended up being about 120. I've never been sod this much at keedys or Wilma's and Fridas. I wouldn't have minded has the experience been better. read more

Best breakfast place in the area! The place is super cute! We tried the banana matcha and fresa match and they were delicious and the food was literally amazing!!! I had the chipotle chilaquiles and they had such a great flavor! We also tried the pan dulce French toast and it was heavenly! I highly recommended this place! The owners were very kind as well!
