I'm from Buffalo and I know good pizza/wings/subs. I also know good service and value. I've given Casa di Pizza 4 tries and am not sure I'll be returning. First visit: Steak and cheese sub. Chopped up steak not steak-um style thin sheets like you'd have in Buffalo. But good flavor and large on fresh bread. More of a hoagie than a sub. Enjoyed it. Labatt Blue on tap. Great. Second visit: Great, large chicken fingers. I had a child in my party and asked for 7 chicken fingers to be made "hot" and 3 plain. Was told that they only split in increments of 5 and 5 because it's less work. I tried to explain I had a child and that it's even less work to pull 3 and leave plain and sauce 8. After much discussion my request was granted. I asked for the sauce saved on those 3 plain ones to be served on side in case kid doesn't eat the fingers. Got charged for the "extra" sauce. Really? Third visit: Got more fingers. Asked nicely that I don't eat blue cheese or ranch so could they substitute in some extra celery? Got charged for it. ugh Fourth visit: Ordered party pizza and 50 wings for takeout. First thing I noticed was we got the same small amount of celery that we go with smaller wing orders. When you order 50 you should get enough to feed the party. Second thing we noticed was the inordinate amount of flat wings. So noticeable that we counted. 37 flat and 13 drum. 74% flat. No way that was random. Call to discuss. Am informed that "it's random" but they do allow people to pay $1 extra per 10 wings if they want all one way drum or flat. Clearly they don't understand "random". Unless they're able to start every order from with an equal supply of drums and flats, then anyone paying the $1 per 10 upgrade fee will impact the ratio for subsequent orders. I could have paid $5 and gotten all 50 wings my preferred way. Know how long it would take for subsequent customers to catch back up to anything near a 50/50 ratio? Casa di Pizza gets paid more than menu price, prior customer gets their preference, and next full price customer at risk of unequal distribution. NOT random. At least publish this preferred option on the menu so people can know it's available to either pay up, or be aware of the risk of not doing so. It wouldn't have been a big deal but the 37 flats we got were some of the tiniest chicken wings I've ever seen. Like pinkie finger size. These wings were about $1 each for small bones, all flats, low celery. Embarrassing. On a small order of 10, maybe not noticeable. But on 50 it was a joke. Called to discuss and was offered 10% off my next order. That didn't work for me. Owner didn't seem interested in the discussion, gave instead me $11 and we called it a day. Terrible meal for $80. Casa di Pizza is often very busy and must have a lot of fans. I can't say I'm one of them. May go back for fingers and subs but definitely not wings. read more

We recently moved back to the area after 10 years and I'm happy to say its the same old great spot! As a hospitality employee myself, the fact that it is primarily the same staff from over a decade ago always has something great to say about a place. Ordered the half chicken philly with double mushrooms (twice) and they definitely honored my request, and then some! The half is more like a whole at other places . Had the chicken finger sub a few days later and it hit the spot as well. Cant wait to go back tonight for pizza because every time one passed me by I wished I had ordered one!! Easily accessible off S.R. 64 with lots of parking. The space is small with indoor and outdoor seating and often packed with locals because it's a gem! As a born and raised WNYer I was excited about visiting this place I had heard so much about. While both the pizza and wings are better than your average Florida fare, it's not quite up to the standards set in Buffalo NY. Admittedly, few places anywhere can reach those lofty levels. Perhaps most disappointing was the reception we received upon arrival. The City of Buffalo is known as "the City of good neighbors." We told the young fella at the bar we were a group of WNYers and had finally made it down from St Pete to enjoy some hometown cooking. Not only was he unimpressed, he was very curt bordering on rude. It shattered our own illusions that people from our area are uniformly friendly. Friendly sarcasm is always welcomed, being a jerk is not. He said he was from Hamburg. Must have meant the German one. (No offense to Germany I love it there). I give the tiny wings a 3; the pizza a 3.5; the beef-on-weck a 3; and the service a 0. A decent eatery but not a place you should go out of your way to visit. read more

Horrible service. As in no wait service at all. You have to stand in a line to place an order. You cannot be seated and waited on at a table as has been then custom since restaurants were conceived. If you are from Buffalo, NY and you live in FL this is a great place to get some of those great Buffalo flavors!!! They even have beef on wek soooo yum!! Service could have been better no one acknowledged us or said hello when we walked in so my advice to them is be a bit more inviting. Took my girlfriend to dinner today at Casa Di Pizza...we ordered the spaghetti and meat ball meal...ten bucks!! Started with a very diverse salad, greens with chick peas and olives...was really good. Then the entrées arrived--good lord, the meatballs were a bit less than the size of tennis balls, and they were extremely tasty. I am a big eater, have the belly to prove it, and barely was able to eat half of my entrée. The sauce was super tasty, and garlic bread was included. I have half of that meal in the refrigerator right now, and hoping I can make it thru the night without a midnight snack! Other folks were eating pizza and one guy raved about it. They charge more than most places for wings ($26 for twenty), which is okay, but don't ruin the splurge by cheating-out on the dipping sauce.
