Well another new restaurant in a new city for my hubby and me! We split a Greek salad that was taste-bud pleasing and a pepperoni, sausage and mushroom pizza which the crust was light, crispy and excellent. I had an excellent chocolate Porter and hubby diet soda. One thing that is important to me is a variety of dishes and beers. The staff was cordial, friendly and seemed to be good ppl. I'm from Buffalo and was hosting a birthday party in Bradenton for my husband where we have family and friends. I contacted them from home and they seemed happy to accommodate me. When I arrived in Florida I went to the restaurant and met with Amy who was very pleasant and helpful. My party was originally for 30 people but due to the Corona virus my guest list was getting smaller by the day. Fred and Kevin could not have been nicer to me. On the day of the party my guest list was down to 12. The food was fabulous, the wings smelled so good I almost had to pull over and eat a couple before I got to the party! Really good Buffalo style pizza and wings! Buffalo is about half way in between NYC and Chicago, and proper Buffalo style pizza is indicative of that! Not flat and crispy like NYC pizza, but not deep dish style like Chicago, Buffalo style pizza sits comfortably in the middle. For Western New York expats, they have Labbat blue on tap and often times local brews such as Southern Tier One Buffalo. Edit: Had a pizza today and it was fantastic! People appear to have a pizza joint preference in the same way they love their dogs, which is to say uncritically and with blind devotion. Important to note is that all the folks working here were friendly, helpful, patient and plain nice. On that basis alone, five stars. Unfortunately, our pizzas have been of uniform soggy bottom, minimally topped and lacking any kind of flavor. Is that the beagle of pizza breeds? Competition must be brutal in this space, which you'd think would lead to decisive attempts to court the customer. This review is strictly based on their "Original Buffalo Wings". I have to borrow a quote from another YELP review: "Best Buffalo-Style Chicken Wings in Sarasota" as there is just no other way to say it. We took out a bucket (50 wings @ $29.75) each was perfectly crisp with the skin and the meat "bonded" as one, no breading or slippery chicken skin! The leftover wings were still crisp when re-heated the next day. They could not be better. The bucket included a large portion of carrots, celery and four cups of blue cheese. We had 25 each mild and medium.....the medium was not very spicy. Next time I'd step it up to a medium/hot combo. BTW, a phone order had a wait time of 35 minutes so it doesn't appear these are pre-cooked in any manner. It was all boxed perfectly designed to hold wings and the sides, not tossed in a bag, pizza box or Styrofoam package. They take their wings seriously! Decided to go on Sunday 04.02.23 @ 340pm the place was empty so I figured I could enjoy. I sat outside after going in and speaker with a gentleman behind the counter who gave me a menu and said I could sit anywhere outside and someone will be with me in a minute. I waited 15 min and not one person/server came out to see if I needed water or service. Many employees came to close out tabs, clean tabs and check on other patrons but not once did anyone ask me for service. As I sat there a young lady opened the door to help a patron out with her pizza I looked at her she looked at me and she continued back in the restaurant and not coming back out. Another family came to the restaurant went in proceeded to come out, sat at a table as I got up and walked to my car. As I pulled away they had a server. Will not be back. Lost a new client. I know this means nothing to this business as I am only one person but as a new person to the area I was looking forward to their establishment as I heard many wonderful stories about how amazing their staff are and how the food was very tasty. Buffalo style pizza has a slightly thicker dough (not like greasy Chicago style pizza), sweet and zesty sauce and a nice layer of mozzarella cheese. The thing that sets Buffalo style pizza apart is the pepperoni. It must have the old world Margherita pepperoni where they form little crispy cups on top of the cheese. Casa-Di-Pizza does Buffalo style pizza well because the owners are from Buffalo! I found them while in Sarasota on business and went there twice because the pizza was so good. I'm not one myself, but I'm married to one, so I'm somewhat familiar with Buffalo-style food. CdP has beef on weck (the classic beef and au jus sandwich on a salt and caraway-encrusted roll), great pizza and generous subs. You can also get Buffalo faves like Genessee beer and Sahlen's hot dogs. I haven't personally tried the wings, but I'm told they're authentic. The fries are crispy and delicious. Worse Calzone I've ever had in my life! I ordered a sausage Calzone. Should have been simple enough: sausage, mozzarella cheese and ricotta cheese. The Calzone that Casa Di Pizza gave me had sausage and some curdled mush that was inedible. No mozzarella cheese at all. That curdled mush was absolutely horrible! It definitely was not ricotta cheese. I don't know if they tried to do something with cottage cheese but it really didn't even taste like that. We will not ever order from there again! Just awful! The Pizza is trash! The sauce was super sweet/cheap tasting, and the whole thing was just layered in grease. The bbq wings are delicious! I normally don't do bbq wings on bone-in but the recommendations made me try them. The bbq has a good taste, wasnt runny, and with them thrown on the grill after fried leaves a nice burnt/smoked taste. I also had the medium hot wings and the flavor was good but they didn't have a kick to them like I expected. I don't like really spicy wings but i do enjoy a nice spice to them and Id probably go with the hot if its not too big of a jump. read more

This place has the most delicious gluten-free pizza I've ever had in my entire life. It's not like eating pizza on a cracker. It is actual real delicious dough. I drive from Baltimore Maryland to Bradenton Florida to get this pizza and I am never disappointed. The atmosphere is friendly and clean. The service is so fast and everyone is very welcoming. I wish they had one in Maryland!! If you are not gluten-free the Caesar salad sub is also very popular. The portions are huge and the prices are very moderate.
