We gave casa Garcia's ANOTHER chance to redeem themselves after our last two sad experiences. Clearly they made no improvements. Service is absolutely horrible. They do nothing to help each other out. Staff will focus only on their table. A nice amount of social gathering and " I'll tell your waiter " when you ask for something. Manager came right before we left. it was a bit odd, he had thumbs up in the air. Looks like he was running a marathon, saying all good all good. He was so rushed, never had an opportunity to listen or hear our response Food was ok. Refills on anything from drinks to chips were nowhere to be found. Food is always pretty tasty, never have dined in because it's always busy but we always call in a to go order from time to time. No complaints about the food, but everytime I order a to go order I order the same thing and everytime it comes in a different sized to go container. Side portions are pretty skimpy. We've always gone to Casa Garcia's around lunchtime (ask for Israel, he's amazing!), as the service, the steak fajitas and top shelf margaritas have always been a big hit with us. But this time we decided to go on a Friday night--big mistake! I saw in a previous review that someone's favorite part of their Friday evening there was the mariachi band, but we found it to be so horrible that we eventually left without ordering dinner. The musicians were so far beyond loud, there are just no words...the woman who was singing was practically screaming, and the trumpet player was pointing his trumpet straight at us so that our ears were breaking. We were literally yelling as loud as we could to one another at our table as well as to our waiter, none of us could even hear each other. We screamed our margarita order to the waiter who tried hard to understand what we were requesting, but while we waited for the drinks, we literally could not bear the noise any longer and went to the bar for our drinks, deciding to skip dinner. I tried to tell the server behind the bar that we'd have our drinks there, but she couldn't hear me either. My husband complained to the manager about the volume level, but he seemed surprised to hear that, even though it was obvious no one could hear each other. We guzzled our drinks just to get out of there quickly, and as we walked out the door, a man at least 25 years younger than us came out shaking his head as well--he said that on Friday nights, the band is so loud that he and his wife won't go there, they just do take-out. In a nutshell, it's a great place, just don't go on a Friday night unless you want your ears blown out!!!! read more

I would like to give this restaurant 4 stars, but the service is lacking even during the slow hours. The food is very good and comes out quickly and is hot. However once you receive your food, the staff doesn't come back. Many walk by, many are near but no one refills your water or checks to see if the food is good. There seems to be no team work, each server is on their own and if they have a problem no one helps them. There are managers present but they don't bother to check on the customers either So the customer suffers, waiting for food or water or their check. read more

First time I went it wasn't that great. We chose enchiladas and they were so so, the cheese wasn't melted. Not much flavour and not much sauce. Second time we went everything was great. This time we got food for the whole family. We got tacos, mole, horchata, and tamales. Very glad they have some more authentic favourites like mole and horchata. Went today for the first time. The cheese enchiladas are made with processed cheese (velveeta) instead of cheddar. The tamales were horrible. I know they are new here but they got a lot of kinks to work out. I didn't get a drink menu when they sat me down, the waiter asked immediately what I wanted to drink. I asked for a frozen margarita with gold tequila, which should have been their reserva margarita, he brought out their standard frozen bottom shelf tequila margarita. The queso was good, kid and I both enjoyed. They brought out steak fajitas for two, very over cooked and not good tasting for the price. Papasitos would be a few dollars more for medium rare filet mignon. Also found a plastic brown piece in the fajitas. Fajitas comparable to Rosa cafe and chuys, which isn't good to say. Flour tortillas were good, corn needs work. *Dont Waste Your Money* Ordered a dozen tamales, Chimichanga, and a three Taco plate along with a large Horchata to go. brought my order home and opened the to-go containers to find items I ordered and didn't order.. we received the tamales and a chimichanga and both were sub par. Tamales were way greasy and outer tortilla of the chimichanga was not at all crispy.. was more like a burrito and not fried at all. The only side was some rice. I asked for a large horchata and received a medium cup and was told that's as large a cup that they had to go. We did not get the tacos that were ordered but instead received Mac and cheese that taste like it came out of a box with rice and beans and the worst carnitas I have ever had. I made a call to the location and spoke to the manager but he offered nothing. I paid over $50 for this and could barely consume any of it. We will never go back! read more

This was the wife and my first visit to the new location close to our home. (I've eaten at Casa Garcia in Pflugerville many times when I worked at Dell!) I was pleased to see that the food was very similar and will be thrilled to go back. We had the numero uno combo, no beans but double rice, with chili con queso on top. Great host and server experience as well! Looking forward to explore the menu in the coming future. Our go-to test at Tex-Mex is cheese enchiladas and these were Muy Bueno! read more

I should've learned my lesson two times before! Again, they always seem to add something on your bill that you just don't agree with. This time I order to be enchiladas with chili con queso sauce and they charged me for the two enchiladas and then $3.98 for the queso. I tried to understand the reasoning behind that because if you do a substitution for chili con queso it's only $1.99. It may seem petty, but this is the third time on three different ingredients or items and now I'm just frustrated with this place. I will have to say the food is very good. read more

We enjoy other locations of Casa Garcia's and glad to have one near the house. This is adequate Tex-Mex if you know what you are getting into. Went to eat breakfast today , 3/24/24, Place was looking clean and pleasant to the eye. Restaurant was just getting busy When we entered ( only waited about 10 minutes to be seated) was given menu Then given chips and dip , no asking about water need, or if we wanted anything to drink, no utensils were given. We had to wait about 15-20 minutes before ordering our food . Waited another 15 minutes before it came . We did get our coffee 5 minutes before food came out. Had to ask for 2nd cup of coffee which came out cold And we had to ask for check.no one came to give us the check and that was another 10-15 minutes to get a check. We were in this area on Friday and decided to eat here with family. We were impressed. Not only with the service we received but with the food. I'm very picky when it comes to the enchilada sauce but these cheese enchiladas were very good. The refried beans were homemade and tasty. Rice was good too. If your standards are low and you are ok with them bringing you the wrong meal and then never bringing out the actual meal you ordered you should be fine. Oh and be prepared to ask for anything you want (refills etc) multiple times and still not get it . The restaurant would benefit from better peak time waiter distribution. The times that we've gone the waiter in our section had 19 other tables, while 3 or 4 other servers stood around chatting, not serving or helping. The drinks are good, the food is better each time we go, like they're settling into this location. I do wish they had acoustic baffles or other noise muffling things. The restaurant gets very noisy during busy times and the sound bounces off all the walls and floor. But overall, they're receptive to feedback and the staff is very friendly.
