I love love love this place!!! A friend told me about it a few weeks ago so we finally decided to go. The outside decor is a bit cheesy but great for marketing I suppose. The menu has a plethora of options. There were so many things that caught my eye but I went with the Crab and Shrimp Changa. The crab meat and shrimp were plentiful. Reading the menu I wasn't quite sure about it because it's topped with a creamy pineapple sauce. I'm not a huge fan of cooked fruit but this was delicious!!! The combination of the flavors was on point!! The pineapples were not over powering and it gave the dish this Mexican/Caribbean vibe that the tongue can appreciate!! Of all the many choices, it'd be hard to not get this for a second visit! My friend ordered the Burrito Barbacoa. It's a pretty big burrito filled with pulled steak, rice, cheese and pico. Came with guacamole, red coleslaw and sour cream. The steak was super tender and full of flavor. If you want to be able to hear yourself think, or the person sitting next to you, do not go here. A migraine-inducing mariachi band playing 6 inches away from the table all meal long does not make for a good eating experience. Lest you think i'm being overcritical, the waitstaff have been trained to tell people that if they need some quiet time away from the music, the restrooms are insulated. Granted, they had to do so by crouching down next to us and shouting to be heard. That's not a restaurant, it's a concert hall. We had to order by hand gesture because the waitress couldnt hear us, the food was decent but overpriced, and i'm not entirely sure what drink I was served - if it was meant to be the Sprite i ordered, it tasted like they'd left it out in the sun for a couple of weeks. read more

So Crazy Bama Carl, as he calls himself, was our server - and he's the reason I'm not giving this review 1 star. Carl was fantastic! They were clearly short staffed and Carl hustled his butt off! I got nachos and the chips were terrible and stale....which obviously made the entire thing horrible. My Nachos also cost $15...for what cost approximately $3. This just feels like the Olive Garden of Mexican restaurants but worse. Save your time and money. Go to a hole in the wall for authentic vs this box box rip off. read more

Went on a Saturday night initially but only sat at the bar. The parking lot of course was filled. The bartender (I feel bad for not remembering her name) was fantastic. I normally always order a Long Island as my first drink to gauge how watered down my drinks might be. It came back pretty light colored and strong so I had no complaints. We ended up staying for an hour talking and laughing with the bartender. I returned a following Tuesday night and sat at the bar. Went with the Long Island again but it was a different bartender...unfortunately. But she was still really friendly and charismatic. I ordered the Super Burrito which was really good. Just get ready to leave more than satisfied. The menu is extensive. If you can't find something that sounds appetizing here, then you obviously don't want Hispanic food. This is one of the few restaurants that have a drive-thru. I frequent the drive-through window the most, however I have not been to the restaurant in a while. My most recent experience I learned they have 100% from the health department, Which I figured was pretty good. I ordered my usual meal a number 8 a Tex Mex bowl With steak, and OH! my goodness it was AMAZING! It was so fresh from the drive-through it was so fulfilling this restaurant never disappoints whether I eat on the inside or get a quickly for using their drive-through service. What a terrible experience for a late lunch. Overpriced & without much useful accompaniment. What ever happened to beans & rice? The place smells unpleasant & I think it's because of the urinal freshener style aroma in both restrooms. Although they have a check sheet for cleanliness, the bathroom was messy & dirty. I walked into the bar to have a late lunch and watch some ESPN. Gabby introduced herself and offered me chips & salsa. Not knowing if they were gratis, I declined & ordered a margarita. Without offering me any options, she pours this awful, premade concoction that is $5. After stomaching that, which I should have refused, i asked if there were any handmade options. She gives me a drink menu with some great options starting from $8.95 to $14.95. I get a Perfect Patron for $10.95 and it's decent. My meal comes, a new item, Burrito Barbacoa. Here's what the menu said... "Big burrito stuffed with pulled flank steak, white rice, cheese and pico de gallo, served with guacamole, red coleslaw and sour cream" What I got was a steak & white rice, greasy burrito with maybe a teaspoon of pico de gallo (see pic.) Along side this mess is an oval plate with a tablespoon each of guacamole & sour cream separated by a handful of shredded lettuce (see pic.) What exactly was that for? I eat about half the greasy, stale mess and am done. Surprise! Gabby finally shows up to ask if everything's okay? I said it's fine, can I have the rest to go? She silently sets a styrofoam box within reach. Not another word. $37 for bad service, a mediocre meal, a disgusting and a decent margarita, and a urinal freshener smell that I can't seem to get rid of. Love the decor! The food.......not so much! My friend and I decided to meet up for lunch one Saturday afternoon, she lives in Austell so I suggested this place since it just really opened. Saturday's lunch crowd was extreme, so I took a seat in the waiting area until my friend arrived. I was really taken with the decor, seating area was really cute, but the unique hangings and colorful chandeliers through the place was a very nice touch. I also noticed and snapped photo of the bar area .....pretty cool. After my party arrived we were seated and offered high chairs and booster seats for my friend toddler. Our waitress was soooo sweet she brought out beverages first and even though it was a little after 3pm she still allowed us to order from the lunch menu ( I had recently left the Taste of Smyrna and wasn't that hungry ) , the lunch menu is offered daily from open til 3, which is not bad at all. I ended up ordering the Texas fajitas, which came with rice and beans it was $11.99 on the lunch menu. I also ordered a grande frozen margarita, it came out not all the way filled to the top, one would think this almost $10 drink would be topped off. The food came out, but there was no sizzle to my fajitas, it was plated with the beans and rice, which made me feel like it wasn't cooked freshly. The steak and shrimp was cooked perfectly, but something was off as far as the taste. I wasn't a big fan of the beans and rice either. Maybe they are still working out the kinks! On my way in I noticed a dessert display filled with Topnotch eye candy desserts, so I inquired, you get huge slices at nearly $8 a slice. I was sold, I ordered a strawberry cheesecake to go and yes it was all of that!!!!!! The to go box display the Marietta Diner, Pasta Bella and it other affiliates ..... Food was just 2.0 out of 6 stars. The food was very altered. Not your real Mexican food spot. Altered for different tastebuds. They are owned by MFR who also own other dining locations throughout Atlanta. Lights not working in some designated eating areas. This was my first time here but I know this would be my last time for food. Ordered the Chile Relleno and the chicken soup. Again the flavor was mediocre. Nothing with zest of authentic flavor. Similar to farm to table but instead from "can to dish". It's vivid but I find that there are something's that we should never cut corners on. And that would be food and love. It's not often that I eat in this area because it's close to where I work and I never get an out-of-building chance for a lunch break. But just this once... I was told by all of my co-workers that this is the place to be if you want Mexican food during a quick lunch break (outside of a smaller taqueria). We showed up, were promptly seated and served, and everyone was quite lovely. There were a couple of larger groups of people (6-15 people), but the food was pretty expedient. The queso dip is runny and takes a lot to not get all over everyone at the table, but still yummy and a good dish to share (just ask for extra plates!) The food itself was okay. Didn't bowl me over or anything, but it was warm and filling and the bill wasn't too expensive for any of us. They have lunch specials that are sizable for the price, so definitely worth looking at that menu too (just make sure you get one, not everyone did). Definitely A-OK. No big complaints but no great wow moments either. If this is the best restaurant-style Mexican place that Marietta has to offer, I have to worry about the other places. read more

Another GREAT experience at Casa Grande! Marcos helped us again, and a great job waiting on us! He is so nice, friendly, and very thorough and on top of his customers needs. Always like to come Thursday thru Saturday 11:30 to 4:30 when Marcos is here. My wife had the Taco Salad with fajitas Chicken, which was great again. I got Steak fajitas medium rare and the steak was tender and delicious. Always feel safe and everything is clean. They even mop the sidewalks in front of the restaurant. Oh We got a Crazy Cake slice to go. Their cakes are always large and wonderful. If you have not been here, I urge you to try them out. This Marietta store chain usually offers great food and good value, with an emphasis on cleanliness and good customer service. read more

Been a while since I've been up here and it shows. The guy that seated us did not wait for us to actually sit before walking away. Did not tell us who our waiter/waitress was. Waited 10 minutes for waitress. I do not mean anything bad by this, but the girl barely spoke/understood any English. Took 5 minutes to get 3 waters and 2 Arnold palmers. Another 15 minutes for the girl to come back to the table to get our order. People that came in after us got their food first. Manager came out of nowhere and got her and other waiters straight, but after 30 minutes though? And sad to say this but the quality of the food went down too. I only get one thing every time I come and while it still tasted good, it did not taste like it should have. Like they did not put the same amount of products that they typically do into it. I've been to this place a few times but thought it would be a good time to leave a better review. There's really not too much to say about this place besides the fact that i've never left disappointed. Food is always very flavorful and usually very bountiful. The environment is colorful and the wait staff is very welcoming. Food always comes out hot, sizzling, and in a timely manner. This last visit I got the Jack Daniel's combo with some extra sides and my friend got the chicken & steak fajitas. His only complaint was that he didn't get enough meat and mostly onions/peppers. I agree but he said it still tasted very good. I had no complaints about my food besides the fact that my chicken was over cooked. The guac is world class and if you wanna save a little bit just ask for the regular guac, unless you want them to make it fresh for you by the table, which is never a bad idea. As far as drinks go, my margarita was tasty but it wasn't really worth $8, but it was a Friday so there drink specials weren't active. If you're looking for a place with good taste and portion size, I recommend Casa Grande for anything. Whether that's a date night, birthday dinner, or just a family outing. Definitely worth every penny you spend, and it probably won't be too expensive. I leave full enough to last a whole day every time lol. Good eats for $20 or less if you order the right way. Super Burrito & Fries with guac usually does it for me. The more I type the more i wanna go back so let me stop lol. All in All. Casa Grande is awesome! Being from the Midwest I eat a good share of Mexican food. This place by far is my least admired. I had enchiladas and the meat has zero flavor. Wife and I came for first visit here today 2/29/16. Our very first impression was the outside of the restaurant: very festive and decorative. We were promptly seated by our hostess and our server Michelle was there promptly to get us drinks and chips. The salsa/picante sauce was very good, nice and thick and full of flavor. I ordered the authentic tacos, had 2 with chicken and 2 with beef; both were excellent. Very much authentic and excellent flavor. They came with some kind of tomatillo sauce that was incredible. My wife had the taco al carbon, she had one with flower tortilla and one with corn tortilla. The taco steak was perfect. The prices are reasonable, especially given the very large portions of food you get. Everything was great, including the service. The manager Carlos came around to check on us, and Michelle was a GREAT waitress (and she's a California girl!) Our favorite restaurant used to be the one by our house, it's now second. With so many Mexican restaurants on every corner, this is a gem on the East West Connector. The Fajitas are awesome (Texas Style-Combo). Just change the bell peppers to poblano peppers and you are set. The service is not bad. Some servers are better than others. Cooks are Mexican or Latino, and this makes a difference. I stopped by Casa Grande a few days ago last minute to grab a drink with friends! This neighborhood gem is literally 3 minutes from my house and I've never stopped in and am mad now! I had the hennesy margarita which was super good! Perfect amount of Hennesy and the right touch of margarita. The prices aren't bad either ($11). I also had the chorizo dip ($10) and for the price you get a good portion size. It is a nice restaurant with plenty of parking, good service, and a nice ambiance. The wait was ridiculous, but that's merely an indicator of a good restaurant. I would have liked to see a pure vegetarian burrito on the menu, but that isn't a gripe. I ordered the Supper Burrito without meat and our server asked me plain and simply, if I wanted more veggies on my burrito and I said, "No", so hey! In all honesty, as a 1st-class fan of black beans, I really just wanted some black beans. I'll DEFINITELY be back for another go 'round! read more
