This was my 2nd trip to Casa Jimenez with our RV Club. They easily accommodated our party of 25 and with separate checks. Our group took up two long tables and we were served fast. The food was delicious (I had the chicken tostado and it was filled with lots of chicken). Not only were our two waiters great, but I had a view into the kitchen and the people in there were really hustling to get our meals out to us. Dean and I went out to eat after work at Casa Jimenez in Glendora. Cambria was with me and it normally is not a problem because she is a Legal service dog, she even has a DOT number to fly on a plan (and she has) and she behaves better than most children. But the waitress was refusing to let us in because she wanted to see a card. Well legally I don't have to show a card. You are only allowed to ask 2 things 1. Is this a Service Animal? 2. What task does the Service Animal perform? Business May Not ask: 1. Require special identification for the Animal 2. Ask about the person's disability 3. Charge additional fees because of the Animal 4. Refuse admittance, isolate, segregate, or treat this person less favorably than other patrons. Cambria had her vest on, her tags that say she is a service dog, and that say she is a diabetic service dog and even a tag from Hope's Promise that Cambria is a certified service dog with them. This is the restaurant that started my life long love affair with chorizo and eggs! I used to go to the Phillips Ranch location growing up and now the Rout 66 location is my go to. The chips and salsa are addicting, but try not to fill up before the food arrives! Sometimes it can take a while to get your food, but that's because it's so fresh! My husband loves the chicken taquitos or chimichangas. If you're feeling really hungry, you can get all you can eat for only $11.95. You get rice, beans, and soup, and you can order 2 items at a time, and there are 2 full pages of options for the all you can eat. It's a great deal if you can eat that much, but I usually have leftovers to take home from just my one plate of chorizo and eggs. My family likes to go here, so to be honest I probably would never go without them. It's good, but it's not great. I would recommend getting the tacos. Everything else I've tried has been pretty lackluster. The service is pretty much always slow. There never seems to be more than two people serving. The most recent time I went I was served the wrong burrito. I was eating it happily (didn't know it was wrong yet) when all of a sudden the waiter comes and snatches my plate away and says it's the wrong thing. I think he should've handled that better. I actually would've preferred that bean and cheese burrito to the chorizo breakfast burrito I ordered. I would not recommend their pancakes if you're looking for buttermilk fluffy delight. Maybe because I ordered them at dinner time but the side pancake I ordered came as two totally freezer brand pancakes. Krusteaz I would say. I used to eat them growing up. Might as well get pancakes from McDonald's. This place is good for the price. We could put it that way lol. read more

Was craving Mexican food so I gave this restaurant a try.. it was not busy at all. The prices are fair. I ordered all you can eat but only managed to eat 1 plate. The horchata is good. Restaurant looked cleaned. However, the service needs to improve. There were only 4 tables that were occupied but the waitress took a long time to check up on us, she had forgot the horchata I ordered and was finally was able to get her attention when I was almost done with my food. Incredibly cheap! They don't seem to have a lot of staff, but service is swift and kind. We picked up an asada burrito and chile relleno, which turned out to be $16 including tax and tip. Their lunch menu is available until 4pm, which is great for late eaters like my family. We'd just watched the Alton Brown Eat Your Science show the other day which complained about tortilla chips' inability to withstand the weight of most guac/salsa. The tortilla chips used at Casa Jimenez definitely did not have this problem! Wasn't a big fan of their salsa since it was too heavy on the tomato, so we squeezed a bit of lemon to balance out the taste. I wouldn't go out of my way to try this place, but it was tasty and a convenient drive from the Glendora Marketplace area. read more

This is one of my go-to restaurants when I'm in the mood for AYCE (all you can eat) authentic Mexican food as the AYCE is available anytime, including breakfast. The AYCE menu (options include: chile rellenos, chimichanga, enchiladas, eggs, tamale, carnitas, and many more) is reasonably priced at $12.99 as of 10/2018 for made to order food. I usually get their Chile Rellenos since they're well in size and packed with good flavor and are a personal favorite of mine. From 8am to 11am, they offer breakfast specials for $3.99 with options like "huevos rancheros" and "huevos a la mexicana" which are well portioned meals and quite delicious. Their chips and salsas (green and red), which are standard when dining in, are very good! The wait staff is always amiable. I've only dined in on weekdays and seating is always easy as they're usually never crowded. Honestly, I've never seen more than half of their available seating in the restaurant used whenever I've came here. They have a shared private parking lot with plenty of parking. One thing I dislike about ordering aguas like horchata or hibiscus (jaimaca) from here, is that they don't offer refills and charge full price for another cup which is like $3. Overall I'd recommend this place and it's quite possibly the best authentic Mexican food in this city. read more

I have been here before and I had good service . I went in yesterday with my husband and kids and this morning we all had food poisoning. I had ordered the tacos rancheros with chicken in them and my husband shared the tacos with me. My daughter had the quesadilla with chicken and woke up throwing up and with really bad diarrhea . I called a couple of minutes ago to let them know so they might check the chicken and all I got was a " why haven't I had other people call Me and tell me this? We've been serving it all day ." I wasn't rude and I wasn't petty . Then I said " I'm Just calling so you might check your chicken ." And he says " Um well I will try but I've been serving it all day sooo . " and hung up. 1. GROSS: I'm so appalled by what I just witnessed! A gal accidentally dropped her drink which was the table closest to the food pick-up window. The waitress mopped floor with not only her bare hand, but her foot too, then picked up rag and handed it to the guy behind the window. Which meant the rag went over the food plates that were on counter! I'm still in shock! Our plates were not one of those... thank goodness! 2. FOOD: Not only do you wait a long time to get served but when you do finally get it, it's cold! 3. SERVICE: The waiters and waitress did their best but seemed they just couldn't keep up. I watched the food get double stacked on counter and stay there for a long while before they were delivered. 4. Will NOT return to this place.
