This the absolute best family owned restaurant, everyone has the best customer service and always accommodating. we have never had a meal we did not like. The owners are so attentive to everyone. I was underwhelmed with the meal. The salsa was not authentic tasting and the burrito lacked the texture I would expect from a burrito. It was server very warm, but not hot. Also they brought out our meals in a staggered manner. There were four of us and each of our meals came out at a slightly different time. Our server was nice. But not overly engaging. The venue was clean and inviting. If it were not so hot in Menifee on the day we visited, we probably would have set out on the patio that was very inviting as well. Overall, the physical place and parking were great, but the food left much to be desired. I am not likely to return. read more

Our first visit was the day they opened. (We were regulars at Provechos and miss Chef Rosie dearly!) We're glad to say that though different in style, Casa Jimenez's food was tasty. Tacos al Carbon and Burrito Especial were good. Guacamole has great flavor. We'll be back and hope that they will have cocktails available soon. read more

Formerly El Provecho, I have visited twice and ordered the same dish, fried pork chunks which is served with red salsa but I request it be served w salsa verde. They have a carnitas dish prepared with the salsa verde but I just prefer the chuck version. Love the combo The staff are attentive which is nice to have when it comes to service. This location used to be Provecho, which was pretty good. Not so impressed with Casa Jimenez. The food came out fast but my rice was cold & hard, yes, hard pieces of rice, and no flavor at all. The Spanish rice I make at home (from scratch, not a box) is much better than theirs. The beans were too runny & not enough cheese but at least they were hot. The chimichanga was big & full. It was okay, nothing to write home about. Service was good but I started getting a stomach ache as soon as I was done eating & it lasted all night & still feels upset. Maybe someone didn't wash their hands after the bathroom? Or the food was old? Doesn't really matter because I won't be going back. read more

Im not too sure what went wrong here. We've been to the Casa Jimenez in Perris and its really good. This place just sucked. My Wife ordered Carnitas and they were all burnt. I ordered the burrito and it was pretty bad. No flavor and everything tasted canned. The kids ordered burgers and taquitos from the kids menu. The taquitos looked like they were frozen. The service was good and the ambience was about the same if it were still the old place. I don't think well be back! read more

The food was acceptable, I would have definitely returned if it was not for the BARTENDER "looks to be the owner". we had two blended margaritas that were made really weak. The Bartender came over and asked if there was an issue, I explained that we could not taste the tequila, so I requested a shot. He mentioned to us that this would be the only time he does this and I should not expect this again. We did not want to be the exception to the rule and I would have paid for the shot. Enrique was an excellent server! Our first time there and we will be back. The salsa with the chips was really good. My husband's tacos de Carnitas were excellent. My rice and beans were fine, but I think I will not order the Chili Verde a second time. Enrique was so pleasant and professional along with other staff members. A familiar environment, having eaten here several times when it was Provechos. First observation, happy to see the decor seems to be the same. Colorful walls, traditional Loteria paintings, Dia de Los Muertos.. all good. The music however, is a mix between 80s, 90s and some Latin music. Maybe it's me, but to enjoy the whole experience in a Mexican restaurant, I also like the music to tie it all together. We were catered to immediately and my moms request to sit in the corner booth even though it was two of us, was honored. A young man and his broom and towels swiftly picked up the table and swept underneath. Thank you for all that. We were served complimentary chips and salsa, the salsa was light, mild flavored, and delicious. The tortilla chips were just ok. So much that I only munched on a few. Maybe they were bland? Or perhaps the oil makes the difference. I ordered the lunch special, crispy taco, chicken enchilada, rice and beans. The rice was scrumptious, tasted homemade not over salted. The refried beans were very good, conservatively spread on the plate, not over salted. The ground beef taco was small, but proportionate amount of meat, lettuce and cheese. My green chicken enchilada was filled with tender shredded chicken, but the texture of the tortilla was not soft, almost where it was cold when it was prepared. The sauce was scant, and the white cheese was "clustered" on top? Hard to describe, thick, not melted completely, but just ok. The green sauce on enchiladas... Mom and I both agree. "It was just ok." Maybe we are accustomed to our homemade version, but it didn't taste authentic. More like a jar of tomatillo mild salsa. I added albondigas (hungry girl after 16 hour fast..) :). I won't order it again. The vegetables were cooked perfect, soft, proportionate, but the tomato broth was very very thin, not that feel good warm spoon of broth we all crave. Mom ordered the Chile relleno and enchilada (same review from her). The relleno breading was "too soft," and the pepper quite mild according to Mama. I touched the plates when they arrived, warm, not hot. The plates could be warmer. The food overall was good, we were satisfied but hope to see this restaurant improve on some details. Mexican restaurants around here are far from authentic, but keeping fingers crossed we will find one soon. read more

My family and I were sat down at a table in an empty section, we waited almost 20 min trying to get ahold of a waitress to get our drink order. They filled and served all the tables around us with drinks and appetizers before we gave up and left. Wouldn't even talk to us, very strange. read more

Service was excellent and the menu has more choices than most restaurants. I had Carnitas and it was one of the best I ever had. The Carnitas meat was moist and tender, the outside was crisp like fried or baked. I also tried the the carne asada and it was delicious. I forgot to mention the beans and rice were outstanding. I had a really bad experience there today. Paid $5.50 for a soda. My friends had a bowl of chicken tortilla soup, the vegetables were so huge they had to get a plate to cut them up, and I had a lunch special that tasted terrible. It's definitely not a provecho. read more

The Casa Jiminez in sun city was sooooo disappointing. I was so excited when they opened because the one in Murrieta is my favorite Mexican restaurant. Sun CItys chili rellano was not good. The food just wasn't the same quality. If you want good Mexican go to the one in Murrieta. Everything is so good and big portions. read more
