I have always enjoyed Casa Jimenez not only do they have great food, but I always feel very welcomed. And cold beer.

Super disappointed in service and quality of food. I ordered taquitos and they I didn't have any flavor. Then ordered a glass of orange juice and it was $8 and watered down and tasted like Sunny Delight. I questioned the server and she told another server and he came out and said maybe I am upset because I am discriminating. This is the craziest comment ever and totally unacceptable. Came here for the first time last night and I can say it's my new favorite Mexican restaurant! I ordered the pork chile verde plate with flour tortillas and it was delicious! The meat was tender, the green sauce you can tell is homemade and the flour tortillas melt in your mouth! The rice and beans were super good too! Our service at lunch was good, however, the food and the margaritas we're awful. That was the worst $12 margarita I've ever had. My husband and I both had lunch burritos and neither one was very good. This is the fourth time we've tried this place because it's close to home, but we will not be returning again... I'm sad that I never got to go when this place was Provecho Grill, but I am thrilled that Casa Jimenez is now here in its place! The staff is wonderful, and our server Nicole is a sweetheart! My foodie buddy told me about this poppin' restaurant, and I'm here for it. The menu is extensive, and they offer a good amount of lunch specials at just $10 each!! They do get pretty busy during lunch, so be patient. We lucked out and got seated right away upon arrival. After checking out the many dishes they have to offer, I chose the Fajitas Mixtas. It's a great mix of steak, chicken and shrimp with green bell peppers and onions, served on a sizzling platter. I love that it comes with the usual rice, beans, tortillas aaaaaaaand guac and sour cream. I usually have to ask for sour cream at other places. When I got the platter, it only had steak on it. I kindly brought it to Nicole's attention. She apologized, and went to the kitchen to get me the shrimp. It was kinda my fault for ordering it by number, and not by name. I said "24 B" (she heard "beef" lol) instead of "Fajitas Mixtas." The shrimp was delivered by the friendly owner...I forgot her name, but she's such a sweet lady! The shrimp were perfectly seasoned, and they're a good size. You don't even have to peel them! I didn't ask for the chicken, because I'm not a huge fan of it anyway. Plus, I had leftovers for about 2 more meals, lol! The flan was delicious and such a great way to end the meal. I highly recommend coming here! Parking is not a problem. If you enjoy authentic Mexican food, this is your place. The restaurant is clean, quiet and beautiful. Plenty of seating, inside or out. The staff is friendly, welcoming and attentive. You can't beat the lunch specials and breakfast is served all day. The prices are so reasonable. And the ingredients are Fresh!! I highly recommend the chili relleno lunch special. NOW this is a great hole in the wall!!! Came all the way from Moreno Valley and have been back 2 times!!! This family owned business was worth the drive! The drinks are very well served! SERVICE is on point. The bartender is awsome and kind. We have tried the shrimp enchiladas and I give them a A++ my husband has tried the Cheviche and it had the perfect lime ratios. The food here was descent. I had the carnitas plate and compared to other places was priced abt the same at $17. The portions were adequate. It was 4 in the afternoon and I was surprised to see only 3 other tables. This place changed hands just over a year ago and at that time the place was always packed. 3 different television sets were playing. Service was nothing special. Pretty average. I had ordered with my meal a single strawberry margarita that was not very tasty. It seemed to be made with a syrup rather than any real strawberries. In receiving my bill the total was $33 and change. I was surprised that the single margarita cost as much as the plate. I understood why the place was so quiet. We thought it was still Provecho Grill but decided to give it a try. The good stuff - rice, beans, Cadillac margarita $15, albondigas soup, their salsa is great with chips. Needs improvement- Chile Relleno was FULL of seeds, shredded beef enchiladas ok but not moist or saucy. Service was excellent. Prices are reasonable & happy hour margaritas a steal at $5. Me and my girlfriend get there, waiting for the rest of the family for a total of 8 people. Finally, when they arrive, I have to "flag down" the waitress and ask for more chips and salsa - mind you we TOLD them 6 others were meeting with us. So ok; the waitress takes our order - I got the "rib eye" and breaded shrimp. My relatives got their food first, but had to wait to eat it bc there was NO UTENSILS ! Once again, I get her attention, ask for what you'd THINK would be something they'd ASSUME people would NEED to eat at a restaurant: knives forks and spoons! My shrimp wad overdone, when I asked for cocktail sauce, I was handed 3 catsup-like packets and a salsa bowl, my "rib eye" was cardboard thick and it TOO was overdone. The 2 mixed drinks I had prior to the meal, a pina colada and Miami Vice, ALMOST tasted like they'd put alcohol in them; ALMOST. Luckily for the waitress my sister paid the tab. If I would've done so, the "gratuity" would have reflected how let down I was with both service AND food. Hence why "ribeye" had quotes every time I referred to it; bc the meat I got was NOT ribeye - a thin pork chop - at BEST. My girls salad wasn't too complicated ; for MOST; salad with chicken on top with Ranch dressing. Salad arrived, after again getting the waitresses attention, she brought 2 dinky containers 1/2 full of dressing - thankfully, my girl caught her BEFORE she disappeared , asking for MORE dressing bc the little containers she'd brought weren't NEARLY enough to cover the massive plate she was brought. My husband and I went to eat dinner. The waitress only addressed me and answered me. She never checked on us except to take our order and deliver the food. We had to get up and find her twice. She gave the check to me, the wife, and wouldn't look or acknowledge my husband. I was so upset after not getting any attention, and she acted very surly and rude when we got up to find her and ask. My husband and I stumbled upon this place on accident and so glad we did. Has such a cute front patio to eat on after dark with cute over head string lights. The waitress who served us (forgot her name unfortunately but called me mija which my Mom used to call me so it made my day) was absolutely amazing. She was beyond nice, helpful and sweet. All staff was actually. The food is amazing. I got the lunch special burrito with red sauce. Shredded beef and beans inside and a side of rice and beans on the side for $10! Such large portions for cheap. My husband and I were like "how are they keeping the lights on with these prices?!" My husband got the build your own combo plate for $18 and soooooo much food!!! I wish I would have snapped a pic of the inside surroundings bc it was super cute as well. We will 1000000% be retuning. We suggest you give this place a chance. I've started coming here because they are close to home, the food is great, the music and decorations feels like your in Mexico (nice), very clean, and the service is usually great. Last night, we went there (Sunday night) at 7:50pm and they said they were closed because they have to clean the kitchen, but they will do a take out order. I told the guy that Google had their closing hours at 9pm. He said that the time was changed on Google and to look at a picture on there. I asked if it was changed in the last hour, because I just looked on Google. He said he will talk to the owner. Anyway, my husband ordered a tamal with his order (the special) and we took the food home and he got an enchilada. read more

Casa Jimenez opened where Provecho was previously located. I was happy to see another Mexican restaurant pop up with so few restaurants in the Sun City part of Menifee. My buddy and I tried it for lunch today. I ordered a salad with grilled chicken. While the prices are agressively lower than other Mexican restaurants in the area, and the service was great, the food quality was unimpressive. Iceberge lettuce, sliced tomatoes, cucumbers slices and low end sliced chicken breast, urrrgh. The tortilla chips were good though. I doubt I will return. Disappointing. read more

I did not care for this restaurant. The floor staff has poor customer service skills. The manager was pleasant though. I think the food is barely hanging on to average. The salsa was extremely spicy. They don't offer a mild salsa option which I find odd due to the restaurant being located within a senior community. You can buy a scoop of pico de gallo for $2.00 or a scoop of guacamole for $3.00. It's sad to see a place like this take over for Provecho, our community favorite. I put Casa Jimenez in the category of "something to eat." There's nothing that will make me revisit them. read more

I'm a BIG Cali Burrito fan and we made a stop here the food looked good online. I'm not going to lie. I was disappointed for a few reasons. The tortilla looked and tasted like a "La Mission" flour tortilla I was very turned off by it right off the bat. Also, there was only guacamole on a third of the burrito on the very bottom. I had to open it up and spread it on the whole burrito because it looked like they just slapped it in the bottom of the burrito and didn't care if it was only in one corner of it so the burrito was very dry. And the last thing was the salsa. Very water down and not spicy at all and the chips were very stale. I am so glad we decided to give this place a try! I ordered the steak fajitas and my husband ordered the Carne Asada with a shrimp enchilada. Boy, were we not disappointed, first of all the beans were delicious, very authentic, as well as the salsa! If they can't get the salsa right, beware ha ha the salsa was delicious! Dee gave us amazing service and the place is clean and cute with all the spanish decor. Plenty of food for the price we paid and the wait was not bad at all and they had a full house. Worst Mexican food. Everyone in the group did not like their meal. Chips tasted like store. Bought stale. The salsa had no flavor and tastes like tomato sauce with zero heat.
