This is my all time favorite Mexican restraint!! The portions are hefty, nice service (family ran), and a great atmosphere. I usually get the Carne Asada. I have had almost all surrounding areas carne asada and this one is in my #1. The meat is always flavorful and tender. I also love the carne asada tacos and chorizo queso dip. Every time I've been I always talk about how killer the food is on the way home. It never disappoints. They are always consist in flavor. Staying at HannaPark and wanted some Mexican was headed to another place LT but we had eaten here before with family and remembered it being excellent. But couldn't find this place on Yelp for whatever reason. But my husband seen it while driving and said there it is so I agreed They don't have the fajitas for two so we both ordered fajitas he got the steak and I got the combination. They were hot but the griddle plate was not hot enough I guess to have really give it that good sizzle which to me is very important because I like the little crispy edges on meat and especially veggies. That's a downer for me and him. The flavor was good but not crispiest. I don't eat beans but he said they were horrible the rice was bland. The lettuce was arugula have never had this at a mex restaurant. Had no sour cream really? I brought it home (back to RV) and threw it in a hot skillet and it tasted better. What happened to Mexican restaurants making there own tortillas? We were never asked how our food was. This was our last visit. Hope they improve or maybe others like it cooked like that. I love to try places that aren't part of a chain and this meets that criteria. Family owned and operated restaurant that offers a moderately priced authentic menu. They offer a nice margarita during happy hour at a great price. The salsa is made fresh and very flavorful. Although our service was a little less than average that night, I wont judge my future visits based on this one. Our server just wasn't im top of refilling our drinks or checking in on us but neither were we "pushed" out. The food is worthy of another visit, I loved my chimichanga. My friend ordered the steak and fries, it was literally fries loaded with cheese, steak, pico etc. I look forward to trying more selections along with my chimichanga on my future visits. read more

Casa Leon is bright and welcoming when you walk in the door. They offer free chips for lunch and dinner, but will cost you extra for queso or guacamole dip. The vegetarian options are similar to other Mexican restaurants with plenty of options. The prices are decent, and much closer to the lunch menu for meat eaters. I thought my burrito and enchilada were delicious and filling. You will have to ask for hot sauce as they are not provided on the table. read more

I am personally blown away at the ungodly proportions I received when I ordered my pollo con arroz. They give you the most bang for your buck at this location! I had enough to make 2-3 meals off of my plate from left overs. Fresh, melted cheese on top of my meal topped it all off. Super fast and friendly service. I ordered my plate to go, and it was neatly wrapped in plastic so it wouldn't spill. Ive never seen another place do this. We've passed by many times and finally decided to stop in. Best decision ever. We ordered El Aztec burrito and the Chivas platter. The Burrito was huge and stuffed full of beef. The Chivas platter was grilled steak and shrimp with rice and beans and salad with 3 tortillas. 7 large grilled shrimp and thinly sliced steak were cooked perfectly and required a takeout box afterwards! Literally two meals. The salsa provided with chips was one of the most flavorful ones I've had, with just the right amount of heat. Is it the norm for all authentic Mexican restaurants to have horrible service? Everyone walks around mad no one sees if you need help even though you're at the counter waiting for 15 minutes. Finally a white guy walks in 15 minutes after you and they ask him if he needs help. Imagine what warm dog food tastes like that's the ground beef. I was immediately greeted and sat by the hostess along with my party of 4. The chips and salsa came promptly with drinks following. The food came fast and it was fresh. The service was great as the waitress checked in often without being over bearing, and she was thorough. The restaurant was clean. There are 2 tv monitors in opposite corners of the restaurant. The bar is it's whole own private party spot. This is a place I will return to again and do carry outs in the future as well. Update: I have been back now more than several times! We love it! The staff is great and after a few visits they start to remember who you are, the manager is quite the character he goes around the restaurant and cracks jokes with all of the patrons. The food and plates always come out hot, and they provide salsa and chips while you wait for your food.
