My boyfriend and I found this place on yelp, and decided to make the 40 min drive to see if the reviews were worth the hype. Well, they were! We came in on a Friday night at about 8pm and were seated right away. Our server was amazing. I wish I remembered his name! The chips and salsa were amazing. The Salsa has a nice kick which I loved and they brought us a complimentary bean, salsa tostada which was delicious. We also ordered a watermelon, and a raspberry margarita, both of which were phenomenal. Our food came out in 15 min, and was so good! My boyfriend ordered the mole & pork enchiladas which he basically died over they were so good. I ordered the brisket tacos which were so flavorful and juicy. The beans were hands down some of the best I've ever had. Service was some of the best I've had. Prompt and courteous without lingering. We will definitely be back! Very nice cozy neighborhood restaurant. I had the brisket enchiladas, recomended by Luis. One would not expect to have mashed potatoes in an enchilada but they were great. Luis made dining fun and was the best waiter i have encountered lately. I will come again soon. read more

Great service starting with the host. They are attentive to your table and notice when you are running low on water and chips without asking. Queso was delicious. Salsa they give is spicy but I am weak sauce... but the salsa was not literally not weak sauce (har har). I got the Casa Casserole and it had everything I love: Potatoes, chicken, mushrooms, onions, spinach, cheese, hollandaise sauce, basted egg... doesn't that sound yummy? They had a lot of other options on their brunch menu that I am sure anyone can enjoy-- even burgers and chicken sandwiches. My husband got the brisket omelet thas that comes with beans and rice, and he enjoyed his dish as well. My kids enjoyed their big chicken fingers and fries (fried crispy on outside, potatoey on the inside, not soggy). They give a tostada (I think) as an appetizer for brunch with your meal so that was neat. The price is good--all of our dishes were $8.99 and under. I have been dining here more often, as it's close to home and now that it's tried and true, it's becoming a regular for me and my husband. I recently ordered the salmon enchiladas and they were AMAZING!!!! They came out just as pictured in one of the yelp photos, and I was a happy customer because they were so delicious. Mole sauce is some of the best you will find in a restaurant. The have a full bar and are building a patio for summer.

Not the cheapest around but very good food and very nice people. Try the mole or one of their fine egg dishes (migas!).

Casa Mama came up as "best mole sauce in Plano Texas" when i searched from Boston the day before going to Plano. Great choice! For delicious, authentic Mexican food, with an excellent margarita, this is your place. I went with my 83 year old mother and both Adrien and the waiter were so welcoming and accommodating. I normally have never felt the need to provide direct feedback like this but totally needed to in this case. My wife and I just left there after having that combo Fajitas dinner. I must say I am VERY disappointed and we even eat there basically for free on a gift certificate from a friend! The chip and sauce was the best part, (wonderful full body sauce)! However, the beef was like eating beef flavored rubber bands, very tough and chewy!! The chicken and shrimp were OK but VERY Plain tasting. There was almost NO Mexican spices at all in any of the meal including the rice and beans! I have had frozen TV dinners that has more taste! It was all VERY bland tasting. In my own cooking while exploring Mexican dishes, I have produced much better results. For $32 I expected a lot more. You really need to work on your recipes and give it more spice and flavor. To top that off, from the beginning to the end our waiter displayed a total negative attitude! The atmosphere was terrible with nothing but radio chatter in the background, (relaxing Mexican music would have been a much better choice)! And the same channel (sports) on every monitor, BORRING. This was the second time I gave your place a chance and unfortunately, I won't be back and can't recommend this place to anyone unless you make significant changes in your menu, waiters attitude, and the atmosphere. read more

I love this place. I go all the time and last week, I took a friend who had never been. She asked the server what he recommends, and he suggested the pasta. Seemed strange for Mexican food. My husband goes here for work lunches and took me for the first time last night. Best food I've had in I don't know how long. He got the Mexican lasagna which is very good and I got the brisket & mashed potato enchiladas at the recommendation of the very friendly waiter. OMG they are delightful. My husband actually went back there for lunch today and sent me a picture of his enchiladas....I'm so jealous and so hungry now! The chips & hot sauce are great, the wait staff was super friendly and the food arrived quickly. If only they would open one in Fort Worth so I could go for lunch, too! read more

Definitely a recommend for Mexican. First...Great responsive service! The fresh/hot ultra thin crispy tortilla chips coupled with the smokey yet tangy salsa were a delightful starter. We shared a fajita dish. Plenty for two. The beans and rice were fresh and "lively" - that is they didn't have the "spent the day under a heat lamp" texture and taste. A nice change up from most Mexican restaurants, where the flavor and texture is usually flat. We finished ours, whereas we normally leave them after a fork full. The Margs were not watery at all, they had a decent "kick" to them. Previous commenter must have ticked off the staff or something. Were they the best we've ever had...no...but, they were quite good and a nice alternative to beer. Prices were reasonable. The decor was in line with a casual Mexican restaurant in that price range. The bathrooms were ultra clean (nice to see that level of care nowadays). They are definitely on our list for a weekend (Saturday or Sunday) family outing. Definitely worth the drive. Might try them for brunch one of these days...will provide a review for that when it happens. read more

I've only been here once but I had a good experience. The person serving us gave me a recommendation of a plate that was excellent. Pork guiso was great, full of favor and they had queso fresco with it which is a plus. My wife did not have such a good experience with her plate since she said it wasnt as good. The place is small but they added a patio outside which should help with peak times. I am sure I will visit them again soon. read more

I had seen this place for quite a while and my husband and I decided to give it a try. We went on Monday night (I am writing this just after we got home) and were seated immediately. The waiter was there immediately and we didn't have to wait long to place our order. Someone else mentioned that the chips were salty and my husband and I both agree that they were. We were also brought a mini tostado each and it was different but o.k. My husband ordered the chicken enchiladas with tomatillo sauce and I ordered the sour cream enchiladas. We were both disappointed that the chicken was like a paste instead of shredded. There was no flavor whatsoever and neither of us finished our meals. Needless to say we will not be returning as there is another Mexican restaurant closer to us with far superior food AND an enchilada special on Monday night! read more
