    Carnitas de Pollo, chips, salsa

So I used to come here a lot but since I live so far away, I only come here every now and then. Very intimate Mexican restaurant. Low music playing and it is never overly loud. They start by bringing chips and salsa. Not just mild but spicy as well. I like that. I am a creature of habit and usually always get the thing. So Carnitas De Pollo it is. This dish is almost like fajitas but with a little different sauce. Still served with rice, beans and tortillas. What can I say about our server. She gave us time and didn't rush us at all. When our drinks got down to half, she was getting refills. Thank you so much, Irene, for making our date night enjoyable. This place is off the beaten path but well worth the few extra minutes on the road. Stop by for some good eats if you are in Livermore!

Down right the best Cadillac Margarita in town! Amazing authentic Mexican Food, great service and family owned for 30+ years...a staple!! And they have fun claw machines that we always win at and have even won the Mega Prize!! We will keep coming back and so will you!

Honestly from the moment we walked in we were greeted and immediately seated, it wasn't too busy (I believe we came in right before the dinner rush which was perfect) I ordered the Piña Coladas and my partner ordered the large margarita! Both came out soon after! The salsa and chips are to die for! I couldn't get enough of their spicy salsa it's simply too good! I ordered the quesadilla with ground meat as an appetizer which was delicious! I thought I could do with one more plate so I ordered the shrimp fajitas and oh my goodness out came TWO plates! The fajitas and the rice, beans, guacamole and sour cream on another! The portions are quite big and well priced! In the end, I was able to take some for to-go! If you like good quality Mexican food with big portions come here!

That is burrito fajita order the chicken Very chunky. Not the taste food at all.

We did not like all the three dishes we ordered at all Not tasty , or margarita was OK

We came here during the holiday time and it was packed. It was great to see the community supporting local business. It's not a huge place, but there's a good amount of seating including some outside (heaters were in use). There are booths and table areas plus seating in their bar area. Great options on the menu. The servers were super friendly and clearly working extra hard the night we were in. There were multiple larger parties of 10+ people. Our food came out super hot and tasty. Everything was delicious. I'd go back again.

Was handed wrong order so idk what these burritos are supposed to be.

Only been here once but it was pretty bad lol. I ordered on DoorDash for pick up. Hostess didn't ask for my name but said it's not ready so I sat down next to another guy waiting for an order. In a few minutes she comes out, hands us similar looking bags at the same time and quickly disappears. I immediately felt something was wrong because i only ordered a one item plate and there were two boxes which were hefty. I waited for her to return or to flag somebody but no one was there. It was pretty tightly wrapped up but i took a peak and saw a burrito which was the one item I ordered, even tho it seemed a lot bigger than what I expected. I was too tired and starved to investigate further. When I got home I opened both boxes to discovered I received two giant burritos, no rice and beans which was supposed to be part of my plate. I dug into the burrito that looked closer to what I ordered and tbh it was terrible. Mostly rice, really tough meat that I wasn't even sure if it was carnitas or carne. Barely any beans and not enough sauce to make it flavorful. Overall odd experience and will not be rushing back. Oh and I found a bug crawling on a chip.

The service was fast and friendly, and the restaurant seemed very clean. I ordered the special which I thought was going to be "traditional" tacos so was a little taken back by how they were served, but overall I enjoyed the meal. Definitely heavy on the onion, but good flavor overall. Huge portions! All in all, I enjoyed my meal, but not somewhere I am in a rush to get back to.

This was an ok weekday lunch. The chips and salsa were really good. One of us had the chicken taco plate, with rice and beans. It was ok, but not spectacular. I had the carnitas burrito plate. Also, was ok but not spectacular. The service was friendly and prompt. The place is comfy, and wasn't packed at lunch. It was an ok experience.

This is my 5th time eating here. I can't rave about it more! The family has been in business for 30 years! 90% of the staff is family members. The food beats any chain restaurant out there! Give it a try you won't be sorry.

I had never seen or heard of this little spot and I can understand why. The decor is fun and light and the restaurant is fairly big. The best part about this meal was the chips and salsa. Super fresh and the salsa had lots of flavor but not super acidic which is nice. Walking in, the host said not one word to us. We had to say hello and ask for a table and he grabbed menus and walked to the table. Just not very welcoming. Our waitress was nice and very helpful but you could tell she was done with the day and tired. Our table got chicken and steak fajitas. I almost got the chile verde but I'm glad I didn't because my partner got the pork enchiladas and his stomach did not like it. The rice and beans were "eh". Everything was bland and the "secret" recipe for the chicken was weird. Overall, it was less than. And considering my partner was sick from the food almost immediately that evening we won't be returning.

What a great little place to eat. My first time and I was pleasantly surprised that I had not found this little gem earlier! The food was tasty and the customer service was awesome!!! I'll definitely be back soon.

We were Anita's regulars, so now we are on the hunt for our new Mexican restaurant. We may have found it. The atmosphere is exactly what we were looking for. It's not fancy, it's not pretentious, it's pretty utilitarian. It has the feel of what I want, just on the respectable side of a dive restaurant. There were also a lot of regulars that the waitresses were quick to recognize. I love that in a restaurant! The chips and salsa were great. The heat level on the salsa was perfect. I can't remember exactly what my husband ordered but I know there was a Chile relleno as part of it. I got a meatless tostada. We both loved out meals. The plates were huge and the food had a lot of flavor. I did find the rice to be a little bland. I asked for some really hot sauce and was told they don't have that. The salsa was the hottest they had. I ended up putting that on my rice. Other than the lack of a very hot salsa or sauce, it was just about perfect. It's the best Mexican restaurant we've found so far in our search for an Anita's replacement. We'll be back.

About as bland as it gets Wow

The inside is dimly lit and decorated elegantly. I liked the inclusion of honeycombs in the lighting fixtures and even the ice in my drink. The darks and golds almost give Great Gatsby vibes. We all ordered a different cocktail from their signature menu. I got the Electric Nectar. The drink was a little tart and sour. The Buzzed & Bougie was very floral, and The Cusco Comb had a nice balance of flavors. Out of the 3, the Electric Nectar was probably the strongest in terms of tasting the alcohol. I don't particularly prefer sour drinks. If I were to re-order, I would get the Cusco Comb, as it fits my taste profile the most. We also ordered the Burrata to share. It came with 6 pieces of toast, which was perfect and divided evenly among the 3 of us. The burrata was delicious. The cherry gastrique added a nice touch of sweetness without being overly sweet. As time progressed, more and more people came in. By the time we left, the lounge was pretty filled.

This bar was nothing near quiet and chill when we swung by. It was more of a frat basement vibe (which I actually found quiet endearing). This place is super tiny. When I came, all the chairs/furniture were pushed to the side to make room for a dance floor. The DJ played frat classics like 'Mo Bamba' and somehow created an energy where everyone was being perfectly carefree and dancing all over the place. Everyone was cramped up in the tiny dancefloor but still had enough room to move around and get to the bar. There was a pool table that was covered off to the side and some games lined up on the wall (to likely be used on a more casual and lowkey night). They had a bunch of security. They had guards at the entrance, by the DJ, and at the back door (that I think led to an outdoor patio). I'm not sure if this makes me feel reassured or concerned that they feel the need to have so much security. To me, the drinks were average. I ordered a Vodka Cranberry and felt that it was mostly just cranberry juice. The bartenders were friendly and quick. The prices weren't too bad either. I would definitely come back!

As a woman, this was a cool dive bar to exist in without attention. All patrons sat in peace on their phones. Decor is a mixture of Packers // 49ers gear... guessing this is a fun place to visit for a game!

We ordered three small plates : whipped feta, cumin lamb mintu, and smoked Duroc pork belly. The cocktail was really good. We liked the whipped feta with warm bread a lot. We felt neutral about the lamb dumplings but pretty sad about the Duroc pork belly. The pork belly arrived last. The plate came with six tiny pieces of pork belly which looked very dry, burnt and shrunk. It was pretty hard to chew especially the crust. I didn't find it enjoyable in any way. I asked our server if it was supposed to be this way. And she said yes, crispy outside and juicy inside. Since it was burnt and overcooked, there was nothing soft or pleasant in the inside part left to chew either. I felt it had no flavor. For $ 22 plus tax and tip, we hoped to enjoy it better than what we received. We were not offered any remedy to the dish and felt a little awkward after we brought it up to our server. It was very busy, and we had to wait approximately 20 minutes to get a table. Once seated, it took our server another 10 minutes just to come over and take our order. They were clearly low on staff, but to their credit, the staff members were definitely friendly despite the rush. The food quality varied quite a bit across our table: The highlight of the meal was the Blackened Atlantic Wild Salmon, which my wife ordered. It was served over Yukon Gold mashed potatoes and roasted seasonal organic vegetables, all topped with a lemon, butter, caper, and white wine sauce. This dish was an absolute 5/5--perfectly executed. I ordered the 14 oz New York Steak with scalloped potatoes and charred organic seasonal vegetables, topped with cowboy butter. I asked for it medium-well and really enjoyed the steak, giving it a solid 4/5. My friend ordered Mama's Crispy Tacos (two chicken and one potato), which came with cotija, lettuce, avocado, crema, and pico de gallo, served alongside a spicy green salsa and pinto bean smash. They rated this a good 4/5. On the flip side, my friend also tried the Grilled Baja Prawn Tacos. Served on flour tortillas over a bed of mixed greens with pineapple salsa and chipotle sauce, this dish really lacked flavor and was a disappointing 2/5. We also started with the Seasonal Mixed Greens salad, which came with green apple slices, candied pecans, seasonal berries, and a white balsamic vinaigrette on the side. This was just okay, landing at a 3/5. Overall, Maple Street Eatery is a decent place for brunch or lunch. If the service becomes more efficient and a few of the food items are improved to match the quality of the salmon and steak, we would definitely make this a regular spot to visit.
