Service is slow and ride. I think auntie who was our server was having a bad day. They also charge for drink refills. Food isn't that tasty. Salsa tasted watered down. Everything tasted watered down. Ambiance: We stopped in for an early dinner, before heading across the street to play Bingo. The NFL playoff game was on the TV in the bar area, where they seated us, but it wasn't too loud to where we couldn't hear each other when we were talking. The bar area filled up pretty quickly, and the customers seemed happy. Service: There was an older gentleman behind the bar, and it appeared that he was filling "to go" orders and taking them to the front hostess station. Our server was an older woman, who was hustling the best to her ability. It took a bit to get a beverage, but she did bring us two baskets of chips and two salsas for just the three of us...which we loved! Once she took our order, our food came out pretty quickly and the food was still hot. Downside: I couldn't help but wonder why the gentleman behind the bar, wasn't helping the server! She had all the tables in the bar area, and was running around constantly. The man behind the bar at one point, was talking with the young female server that showed up for a shift (maybe), and they were standing there for quite a while chit chatting. These are not team players...or so it appeared they were not. Food: No complaints here! I had a cheese quesadilla with rice and beans, my sister had flautas, and my friend had street tacos. I had enough rice and beans to share with both of them. Restroom: The ladies bathroom was very clean so bonus points there! Stopped by this restaurant on a whim and it did not disappoint. We ordered the fajitas and the chicken mole. They both were good portions and DELICIOUS. I was so surprised by the flavor of the mole. It's a must try! The service was great. Our sever made the recommendations for the food and we were never short on refills for drinks. The decor builds the ambiance with murals and cool lamps. Whoa I've got serious history with this spot. Even though I've only eaten here like 8 times, I did start coming here in the 90s as a super young adult on the go, damn that's like 30 friggin' years, which also shows the serious longevity of this place. They also opened one up closer to where I live in Fremont, but that eventually stopped operations within the past decade. I ate here twice in the past 6 months so here's a much overdue review. This place is huge, like major dining hall with a separate bar area. Not sure if they pack it in to capacity anymore as both times I've gone in, the bar area seemed more bustling than the dining area. But if you threw 100 peeps in there, the place would only look half full, that's how big the space is here. Always start with a basic Margarita on the rocks ($8/4*) I don't always order sweetish drinks but this is a must for me at Mexican restaurants when the chips and salsa show up. It is a combo as compelling as a burger and Coke, brownies with milk etc. Theirs is okay, not crazy sweet but I also can't do more than 2. Carnitas Platter ($22/5*) Their menu says Michoacan style and I grew up with a family from that state, and carnitas was a special occasion thing for them. This version was legit, super tender, nothing dry and a serious good crisping on the exterior. They nailed this and with their super solid beans and rice and warm tortillas just sends memory shivers down my spine. And sips from that icy cold margarita...OH MAN! Halibut Puerto Vallarta ($23/5*) I had to try this another time as I've never seen halibut as an entree at a Mexican place, and boy was I pleasantly surprised. A nice slab of halibut with skin was butterflied yet remained fairly thick. Perfectly cooked with a slight browning on the exterior and totally succulent in the center. And halibut is a tough fish to make right, even fine dining places can overcook it. Not here, crazy good. Menu said wine/butter but I didn't really sense any significant sauce, maybe it was just brushed with it, but nothing was coating it. I love simplicity paired with freshness and this totally encapsulated that. I don't recall my meals being this special from them way back years but maybe I just pay more attention these days. The place is showing some wear but this place can still deliver on the food end. To that lets rock out another 30 years! read more

It's been a long time since I've been able to return here and glad I did. I shared a chicken burrito with my friend and it was almost 11 inches long and stuffed full of meat with some rice. It was very tasty too. The surprising part was the price $11.95! The service was excellent and food came out quickly. read more

Only thing positive was the food. Came on a Saturday afternoon during good guys car show. Service absolutely sucks. Used to not be like that years ago. Seems like management is toxic. Only 1 server working with two others (I'm assuming the busser and manager/or bartender) working the Dining area with over 12 tables actively dining. Our server was the older lady that wears the mask. We were waiting a solid 10 minutes for drinks. Didn't get the water till after 5 minutes of receiving our chips and salsa. Server forgot the tea my father ordered. Also no refills on my water. Had to ask the busser. Overall she is just not friendly. Nor is any of the other employees. We tip based on service and experience. Sadly that was not up to par. Probably will not return. read more

Went to Mexico Lindo for Lunch. My date and I each had an enchilada and we shared the Halibut Plate. The Enchiladas were very tasty But the Halibut was not edible. It did not taste fresh or even more, tasted very Stale. If it had a taste, it was Bad. When Fernando did come back to the table, he asked if everything was ok, and I told him the fish was Not good. One of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. We came here with a large group and were shocked to find plastic in our food--not just one piece, but multiple pieces across several dishes. When we brought it to the staff's attention, we expected at the very least an apology or some effort to make things right. Instead, the manager was unbelievably rude and told us to leave and never come back. No accountability, no concern for our safety, and absolutely no professionalism. This isn't just poor service--it's a serious health hazard. I would not recommend this place to anyone and genuinely believe it should be reported for food safety violations. read more

I'd been reluctant to try the restaurant because of my food allergies (garlic and dairy) but we checked it out and were thrilled to find that the chef could work around them Our margaritas were exceptionally delicious and our guacamole and fajitas were the best...with leftovers enough for a second meal! From the moment we entered and were warmly greeted by the front staff to the service from our waitress and the fun atmosphere around our booth in the bar, we felt welcomed and pampered from beginning to end. Since most of the menu was a little pricy, my coworker and I split an al pastor burrito from the a la carte menu. Very big portions, which helps the pricing issue, and the flavor isn't bad, though it has a lot of competition with the area's excellent local taquerias. Service was agreeable, they provided everything we asked for and made up a table for our large group even though we didn't have a reservation--granted, they weren't very busy. We had some lunch here yesterday after shopping through Stoneridge mall. The place is huge but half of it wasn't really open. We sat in the bar area where nearly everyone was. The staff were nice but you could tell really understaffed. Our server seemed to work the bar, the tables and the kitchen. Service was good but please get that man some help. For lunch we had Chile Colorado (beef in a red sauce) it was tasty. The meat was super tender. It came with rice and beans. We also the the street tacos. There are 4 on a plate and it comes with some sautéed hot peppers and onions. The meat was Al Pastor. They were really well done. I also had the side salad which was lettuce, carrot and tomato with blue cheese dressing. The place has plenty of parking Only thing to note really is the understaffing. They need help. My family went back here again after a long time. The service was fast a courteous. That alone would get 5 stars. But the food is where it was a letdown this time. There wasn't a lot of flavor. Even with hot sauce, it was just substance and hot sauce. One of my kids who rarely leaves food on his plate opted not to finish his burrito and also not to take the rest home. My chile relleno was good. Nothing stellar, but not bad. Given the prices (a little higher than most) and the food, this won't be a place that we're going back to again soon. read more

I've been here several times and always enjoy my experience. I felt I should leave a review. I made a reservation for my family to eat at Mexico Lindo after my mom's funeral service. We had a party of 13. The service wrapped up a little sooner than expected. We were in between lunch and dinner hours and our group showed up early. The staff got us set up without a wait. Our server Briana did a great job. I thought the whole experience was perfect. Our family got to enjoy a nice meal and share stories about Mom. I wish I can give zero stars if that was an option. We had a surprise birthday party for my mom here 2 weeks ago. I was talking to the OWNER of this restaurant named Elia. This is our second party here and a lot of the same things happened the first time too but we love their food so wanted to give it another chance. First off, the owner is very rude and the way she talks to you is like you're nothing. We had 46 people which 6 of those were kids between 3-10 years old. We looked at the bill the next day and saw the kids got charged $34 for a kids plate? I talked to them and added a few items on the menu so people can pick what they want for dinner and also said I need a kids menu for the kids. Why would I pay an adult price for a child? If I would've known that I would have had the kids pick from the adult menu and not the kids menu. $34 for a 3 year old Is insane to me. The second thing, we put down a $200 deposit which was suppose to go towards the bill and just hold the date down, well Elia didn't put it towards the bill and we have no clue where that $200 went. We have been texting/calling her and she is ignoring our messages. I have text messages from her and it shows she read it but never replied. We also called the restaurant but she wasn't working I guess. So they stole our $200, and won't reply back. We will NEVER come back here ever and never have a party here. They don't know how to have parties at all, when we got there 20 mins before the party was suppose to start, the tables were not even set up and there was a bunch of old plates with food on them still. Have always wanted to try this place and I'm glad we did. This place is huge but the interior needs some updating. There are very interesting murals, table lamps and old couches from the 1970 that's begging for an update. The food here is good, depending on what you order and they serve huge portions. The two crispy beef tacos and the refried beans were outstanding and the portions were generous. The sour cream tasted a little funny but overall the food was great. The enchiladas Azteca was a great dish! The chicken was tender and perfectly seasoned and the enchiladas themselves were covered in a lot of sauce and stuffed to the brim and were very flavorful. In all reality 3 stars might be a little generous, but I have to be honest. My food was DELICIOUS. I stopped by here for lunch with 3 colleagues after running an errand around the corner. I ordered floutas and a Chile verde enchilada a-la-carte. Two in our group ordered wet super burritos, and the other ordered a plate of tacos. We all really enjoyed the flavors and textures of our food, it was well done. With that being said, the cleanliness of the restaurant was not up to my standards and neither was the service. When we were seated, there were crumbs all over the table and the booth bench. We were left with empty drinks for a good amount of time, and one of my colleagues never got his refill. As we were leaving, the waiter gave us boxes for our leftover food. The first one handed to us had a dead bug in it. Kill me now They're definitely on the pricier side for Mexican food in the area, and unfortunately the service and cleanliness don't reflect their pricing. read more
