So I wanted to write this review because there is so many bad one.yesterday my wonderful bf surprised me with dinner for our anniversary here.we walked in the place was very busy.the hostess at the front was a little short and had an attitude because I didn't want to sit where she wanted to seat us.so we asked to be seated At a table that had the cool fire pits.so we had to wait for about 15-20 mins which we enjoyed our time at the bar with plenty of chips and salsa in the meantime.we ordered a pitcher of the mango margarita yummy.so my bf ordered the steak fajita and that was very good,I ordered the chile verde and that also was really good.the portions were a generous size.i have to say that we really enjoyed our night out for our anniversary and I would go back.im going to give 4 stars because of the rude hostess but other then that everyone was very nice. read more

Tortilla soup less than tasty. I ran in today to get a cup of soup, guac and tortilla chips for lunch. It took me 4 minutes to get there after I placed the order, and everything was ready. This was a good thing because I was really hungry. Then things went down hill. 1 hunk of chicken that was difficult to cut, stale tortilla strips, and they forgot the spices. Also, in the 4 minutes time it took to pick up the order the tortilla chips were cold and greasy, possibly because they were from last night. The chip bag was covered in grease already. Horrible dining experience here! First, the hostess tried to seat my family and I in a "hallway with tables". I quickly asked to be moved outside, which turned out to be no better and very enclosed. Next, our waiter took 10 MINUTES to greet us and ask for our drink order, We literally watched him talk to his coworked for several minutes and chat with other tables before he even realized we were there! The only reason he came over is because I grabbed my purse and said very loudly to my husband that I wanted to leave. Since the expansion of this restaurant... food, food portions, and service have degraded over time. We always choose midweek and early dinner times to avoid a crowd and noise. Our last four visits over a 5-month period are nearly identical. When the main entree arrives, I expect the waiter to return to our table in 3 to 5 minutes and ask us, "how is the food?" Yesterday it took 30-minutes...and it was slow in the dinning room. Sometimes they only ask when they remove the dinner plates at the end of the meal. We continually have to flag-down a waiter for refills for our water, chips and salsa. It took 10-minutes to receive the extra napkins we asked for. The food is bland, not cooked properly, and over-priced for the portion size. Lazy, poorly trained and apparently unsupervised staff. Rotten service. Dirty restroom. Immature and amateurish host/hostess. When I finish my remaining gift cards, our family will not return. read more

Just got back from South Africa. Me and the wife spent two weeks visiting our son, daughter in law and grandkids. We had a really nice time. That is one amazing country. We decided to go for some Mexican food and picked a place in Dublin as we were in the area. Good chips and salsa and even better that you get asked if you want more. And we did! So skipped the appetizers and went straight for the entrees. I had the fajitas and the wife had the Camarones à la Diabla that she really enjoyed. We both had a lot of food left over and will be having it for dinner tonight. The margaritas were pretty good but would have liked more tequila especially since they have a good selection of tequilas including the high end ones. I think I may just order a shot next time. All in all a very good experience and staff are helpful and friendly. The only other criticism is the place looks a bit worn and could do with a facelift. read more

Just had yet another delicious and fabulous meal here. I've been frequenting this restaurant since its conception and have never been disappointed. The waitstaff is super friendly, accommodating, and prompt. The food is flavorful and fresh. I had a tostada and my husband their devil shrimp extra spicy today. Both were excellent and delivered swiftly. Never did our drinks go empty. We felt very attended and welcomed. To be sure I will keep coming back! read more

I stumbled upon the restaurant and tried them out. It was super packed so I took a half order of nachos to go. I loved, loved, loved them. Will definitely be back. Plus the young ladies who work in the to go section were super helpful in helping me decide what to order since I stopped eating meat again. Will definitely be back. I'm a bit scared by the other Yelp reviews, but we'll see if I continue to have good experiences. I agree that the prices are a bit high. I had planned to order a veggie tostada, but didn't want to pay nearly 10 bucks for only a tostada, no rice or beans. The nachos were plentiful though. Customer service at this place sucks. I went here for lunch today, and we had to wait until the bus boys were done jaw jacking at the bar to even notice us. Then he took us to a place right in the sun... I asked for a different booth and he was very rude in telling me no. He pulled down the shade, but of course it didn't even go down enough to block the sun. Then the waiter was cold and distant... Practically had to chase him down for a freaking root beer. Only time they were nice was when he brought the check. I can go to Mexxis down the street for the same quality food for a better price and not have to deal with the BS I had to from this place. This review is for their terrible customer service. I ordered and paid over the phone for an order (which by the way I had to talk to 4 different people everytime!, very disorganized staff!!!). One person picks up the phone, tells me to hold, then another comes takes my order, then another comes to take my payment and the last one comes to check why I was on hold!!! When it was time to pick it up, a guy told me he would come outside to give me the order and to sign the receipt, after a while, my sister was forced to go into their crowded restaurant only to see that the order was just sitting there with no one going to deliver it!!! It's great your business is doing well in spite of the pandemic, be reminded that without recurrent customers or enough customers, your business will struggle. I only keep going through this ridiculous ordeal because my mother likes your food, but I certainly wouldn't keep tell others to come your way again! read more

What happened?! My husband and I used to enjoy dining here often, but lately it seems like the quality of the service has gone downhill quite a bit. About a month ago we place an order through DoorDash, and our order showed up with several items missing. My enchilada plate was missing beans and rice, and my husband's burrito was much smaller than it normally is when we dine in the restaurant. We were given a bag of chips, but no salsa. The total order came out to about $40 and it was not worth it at all. Either they don't double check online orders, or they intentionally leave items out. Either way, not worth it to order online. We decided to give them another chance this week, but it wasn't any better. We were seated at around 7:30 and the restaurant didn't seem busy at all - only two other tables were occupied in our section. Our waitress, Ashley, came by and asked for our orders as soon as we sat down. We hadn't even opened our menus yet, so she gave us a couple of minutes before coming back. She seemed to be rushing even though it didn't look like there were many people there. We ordered guacamole, two different burritos, a shot of Herradura Anejo, and a margarita with the same tequila. The waitress came back and asked me what kind of Silver I wanted for my margarita. I told her I ordered Herradura Anejo, then she said, "Yes, what kind?" I repeated myself again and she still asked what kind I wanted. After quite a bit of going back and forth, she finally got it. She clearly didn't write it down the first time around, and I'm not sure why she was so confused about what I ordered. We waited for about 15 minutes before the burritos came, and we were still waiting for our guacamole at that point. My margarita was done correctly, but my husband's tequila was incorrect. The waitress passed by a couple of times to ask if our food was correct. She seemed worried that she got something wrong, which she did, but we didn't bother to point it out since she already seemed to be rushing. Before we even finished with our entrees, she came back to ask if we wanted dessert. Again, felt a little rushed. It's just not a great experience when your waitress keeps rushing you, but also doesn't bother to write down your complete order, resulting in more wasted time. Overall, the food is good at Casa Orozco. Nothing special, but it's good. The lack of good service makes us want to find another Mexican restaurant in the area though. read more

Hostesses are rude! I walked in to eat with a friend and there was a group of young girls (the hostesses) huddled together talking. When we walked in they stopped talking and jus stared at me. Seriously felt like high school with the group of popular but bitchy cheerleaders. I said "umm can I get a table?"... We got a bad table, in the hallway with workers and customers walking by and practically bumping us. Foods good the waitress was ok. Hostesses really upset me tho, really unprofessional. Our family has frequently visited Casa Orozco and haven't had too many issues. Due to a lack of a car we decided to door dash our meal this past Friday night. The order stated that we wouldn't receive our order for 45 minutes (totally fine). Our order arrived 30 minutes early we thought wonderful! I took two bites of my grilled chicken super burrito and noticed the chicken was completely uncooked! I called them immediately and spoke with the take out gal which told me I'd have to take it up with door dash for a refund. That just doesn't seem right since door dash didn't cook my food so I asked to speak with a manager Chuck. Chuck very rudely explained to me that yes I would have to contact door dash. I explained to him that the food was not cooked fully and he didn't seem to care. Finally after 10 minutes he offered to make me a new one only for me to pick up. Um, yea well I door dashed because I didn't have a car at the moment. Saturday night came and sure enough I've been ill with food poisoning and the doctor is now checking for salmonella now since it's been 5 days I can't eat full stomach cramps and much more I won't mention. I would give Casa Orozco a 0 Star if I could. BEWARE of uncooked food without apology. Update-doctors verified food poisoning through tests. Health department called me to interview me because the hospital is required by law to report. They concurred it was from Casa Orozco and that the health department will be visiting them if there are more documented reports of food poisoning from them. read more

Honestly the most flavorless food I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant. Got excited when I saw the decor, but I guess you should never judge a book by its cover. I ate more chips and salsa than the main course, even though the chips were fried. That's how tasteless the main courses are. I can probably get 4 times the amount of food at other cantinas with better quality, so don't know why they are priced that high. In conclusion, chain quality food at premium prices. read more

I find some of these reviews pretty surprising. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant and my family and I have been going regularly since 1997. Mexican is my favorite, and this restaurant is hands down the best Mexican restaurant I've been to anywhere (and I've lived in CA, TX and NJ). Went there with my husband for lunch and while service was decent (our waiter was soo stoned) and fast, we paid $52 for LUNCH. 2 beers, nachos and 2 enchiladas. 50 American Dollars. Plus tip. You gotta be kidding me. The food ain't that good. Two days later we went to that Taqueria off of Dub blvd and ate like kings for 18 bucks. AND the food was incredible. Anybody that has been around Dublin for a long time has experienced Great Mexican food at Casa Orozco. The key here is a long time. With the expansion came less of a wait, cold food,poorly trained staff, and, now far less flavor. Over the last 10 plus years we have tried most everything on the menu. When they had the old kitchen food always came out with the plate so hot , and full of flavor, you almost had to sneak up on your food. Last time was take out for us, two orders plus chips and salsa, they were able to get the order ready in the 15 minuets they said (I was there in 10) but, they also got the size of the chips order wrong, no torts,no sour cream,no pico de gallo,no guacamole,no mole which is an extra charge when ordering. On top of that both orders were cold, (I checked at their front desk). One would think all things were running great at Casa Orozco's after all two employees were drinking beer at the bar,and, the entire time I was there (ABOUT, 15 minuets to get the order right) I counted always 7 and up to 11 employees watching a football game at the end of the bar. Makes me wonder if the manager can figure out what has happened to this place! Wait he was the one at bar having a beer! Not a good evening for them? Give them another chance? NOT! So if you are looking for warm (at best) food. Very bland flavor,a 35% chance of a incorrect order (based on last 5 visits) slow service this is NOW the place for you! after a long hard day SHOPPING and photo spread with the ex wife and family, my princess of 9 years old had a complete meltdown when dropped off at daddy's for the night. I had to ask! that's when I discovered that not only is this CASA have the best food for the price and the helpings are plump. But the staff are so so very awesome! I had to call and explain that my 9year old left her very special ring grandpa gave her one year for birthday gift and how filled with love from him it was and could never ever be replaced ( her words) was left on the sink in the rest room. I made on phone call explaining it all and within ten or so minutes we got a call back from the very same waitress that served us . She said there were two bathrooms and a full house so it took her a few to find it but she DID! That's when things got better for us. Not only did her tummy settle, but frown turned around! FINALLY a spot I can actually say is above average, as far as Mexican Food goes, and pretty damn tasty within the city limits of my working area. I had their Carne Asada, which was really tasty, very tender and not chewy like most Mexican joints. It was served as one full piece of meat uncut and had all the fresh trimmings to boot! Very very tasty. However, I was not impressed with their seating situation. The place was packed and my table was located in the middle of a walk way. Normally I would not mind this but I do mind when people are sliding in between my table and another just to get by. I am not sure how to explain this but the table was smack dab in the middle of a walkway/large door way. There were two tables, the one I was sitting at, and another filled with people. It really ruined my dinning experience considering peoples asses were table high and one guy's ass brushed up on my straw. Not cool. It's just ruined the good food. I had to cover my plate, move my drink, and pray no one was going to pass gas as they passed by. After all the majority of any Mexican dish comes loaded with beans. Yeah so you would have gotten 4 stars but to see peoples ass in my face every few minutes killed it. I will return and this time I will refuse this table and wait for another to open. more like a 2.75, this place was eh ok. maybe cuz we came during lunch on a week day and couldn't partake of the happy hr specials which i hear are pretty good. but in any case, this review is for the food, most of which are a tad overpriced. i had a smaller appetite that day so i went for the a la carta enchiladas suizas ($7.99). a couple of translations here: -a la carta: that means no beans nor rice. you do get 2 enchiladas and your choice of meat. i went for a carnitas and a chicken. - suiza or swiss style means it's dry but topped with a white cream. in this case it was sour cream and guac. personally i thought the meat was too dry. hard to swallow. i had to request some chile verde sauce, which the other dish comes with. should've stuck to that. everyone else devoured their food which shows that it must have been somewhat ok. but service was a bit slow and prices were a bit high. not my favorite. read more

came on a wednesday night and the place was still pretty busy. when i walked in, i think i waited about 5 minutes before the host even talked to me. she was on the phone with her manager, talking about work/restaurant matters.. but seriously, i dont think you should keep your guests waiting for that long. plus there were people coming in after me and waiting for her to get off the phone!! it was happy hour all day wednedays so we ordered the margaritas. yummm many tables had them so im assuming its one of their specialtys appetizer - FREE chips and salsa are served when you sit down. love love love that. the chips came out warm and the salsa was tasty. only bad side is that i munch on these too much and am not hungry by the time my food comes out haha - guacamole dip- also delicious!!! they also give you another plate of chips for the dip. and the dip itself comes in a tostada bowl yum to unhealthy crispyness! entree - super tostada - just a whole bunch of stuff in a tostada bowl.. beans lettuce, cheese, guac, sour cream, salsa, and chicken... this was pretty good. i mean it doesnt take a lot to make it haha chicken was dry though - combination with enchilada suiza and chile relleno.. with side of rice and beans. enchilada came with chicken and was not very tasty. the chicken was very dry and when i cut into it, it would break apart. and chile relleno wasnt good either. ate about half (to be polite) before i couldnt eat anymore... think i need to get something more safe.. that everyone likes and you cant really mess up on... the food wasnt cheap either. i was surprised how much they were charging. i would have expected authentic family-owned restaurants to be more affordable. but it was quite pricey... at least your portions are pretty big though the service was good however and b/c of the remodel they have a narrow strip of tables and then another huge room of tables behind the wall and the bathroom is tucked in the back corner. setup is a bit funny to me but the decoration and the drawings on the walls had a nice effect. perhaps i'll just stick with the chips and drinks next time.. read more

What has happened to this place. Have been coming here since it I opened. The food quality last month was very poor. Complained and was advised I would get $20 off my next purchase. It is not cleaned the way it used to be. We would regularly go here 1-2 times a month and more recently only on occasion. Went there last night and two people now have food poisoning!!! This place has gone downhill. I have lived in pleasanton for over 40 years and been coming here for as long as I can remember. This location has gone downhill. Poor Casa Orozco, it needs work. The food is still very good but the ambience is, quite frankly, dirty. The floor is gross, the pull down blinds next to the booths are yellowed and splashed with food, the old table tops are sticky. A good cleaning and a makeover is sorely needed to make this a place we are proud to take out of town guests to again. We'll go back, because the food and service are good and if you just want to do takeout, it's perfect. read more

Yum, yum, yum! I love great Mexican food! I just went there for the first time last week and was not disappointed; my girlfriend has been building this place up for me for two years now and it definitely lived up to my expectations. At first we were given their very, very unspicy salsa, which tasted delicious, but we needed some heat, so we asked for some hot sauce. Instead, they brought us out their spicy salsa and wooooo! It was hot and sublime! I was in a fajita mood so I got the beef and chicken combo, which was very tasty, especially with the new spicy, spicy salsa. Next time I'm going for a tamale and an enchilada. Very, very good food! read more

I have taken business clients here twice now, and I'm impressed with the fare, service, and our ability to have reasonably productive meeting over lunch. I've eaten here twice now for lunch, but always take out. The first time I ordered just the tacos al pastor. It was filling and tasty. This time I ordered a taco al pastor and shrimp enchilada with verde sauce. They both lacked flavor. It was very bland...very disappointing. I couldn't even finish the enchilada. But they didn't skimp out on the pastor or shrimp..then again no point if there's no flavor. I don't think I'll be ordering from here anytime soon. read more

We were so excited to have one of our first outdoor dining experiences since covid started unfortunately this was a less than pleasant experience. First the hostess did not even walk us to our table all she did was point and say over there on the patio. It was not explained to us how we access the menu which is via a scan on the table. I would like to think that was the worst part of our experience, but it just gets worse. After placing our order we wait over 30 minutes for our food to arrive. during that time we were checked on by our waiter not once but twice and we explained to him the first time that our food still had not arrived He said he had already checked on it and it would be coming shortly. approximately 10 minutes later he comes again and I tell him we just going to leave because our food has not arrived and I have a now starving todler. I actually had to send my husband to the car to get my child food. During this time I'd also asked to speak with a manager who never came. Although our food was tasty it was very apparent that had been sitting under the heat lamp for quite some time. although my family has enjoyed the service and food at casa Orozco many times in the past this will be the last time we'll be coming to this establishment read more
