The salsa is to chunky and lacks flavor. The ground beef taco was soggy because of the poorly made (or packaged??) shell. Overall this place is what you would expect from a below average chain. If you are in a pinch you can choke it down but if you have a choice this would not be it. read more

Ate here tonight with son wife and grand baby.... It was delicious!! The staff were so attentive. I had chicken quesdilla. My husband had the chili reyano. Grandson loved the chips! The only complaint I would have is, how long it took from when I ordered my food till it got served. It took longer than I expected. Other than that, service, quality, and taste was great. This is a nice place to eat. I usually go for dinner. My favorite food is fajita sampler and the dish is big enough for two. Two days ago, my husband and I went to have dinner. This time the server gave us extra tortilla without my request. That was very nice. The reason I'm am mentioning is one time I asked extra tortilla the guy gave me 1pcs tortilla. I was extremely disappointed at Casa Ramos. The food was waaay overpriced and very mediocre. I left there an hour ago and still have a poor aftertaste in my mouth. The service was slow, no smiles; I'm not sure my English was fully understood. The food, when it finally reached our table, presented very well. It just wasn't tasty at all. All show and no flavor. I've had much better tacos at Del Taco for a couple of bucks. My wife's enchilada had a consistency and flavor like window putty. My chile verde was quite bland in flavor and the pork pieces too dry. $3.25 for sodas or a dollop of guacamole! Give me a break. read more

The prices of the food are a touch on the high side, but not outrageously so. The beer is always cold. Service has been great. To me, an average mexican restaurant, but the price tag is crazy. Spent 29.00 for 2 burritos to go (no drinks). That to me is crazy. Mexican deli's burritos are the same or better for less than half that. Parking is not that great, but not that bad. Like Red Robin, used to be slammed, but I think now that people have to sign over the deed to their home to get a decent meal, it's petered off. one thing about 'em. Awesome chips and salsa. The service here is great, we go every couple of months and they remember us every time. All of these people that say this food is not good are obviously people that do not know what good mexican food is. Two of thee hardest things to make good are chili verde and chili colorado, both are delicious. Their verde habanero salsa is delicious and hot. I've never had a bad experience or bad food which is more then I can say for every other mexican restaurant in the lincoln roseville rocklin area. The price is about 11 12 a plate. We have been regulars here for 2 years....when my hubby and I walk in without our son, they ask where he is. The service is always great and the food is always good. For a local staple, couldn't be happier. It's a place we can count on to be reasonably priced and have a good meal. They have a good beer selection and I like their Pina Colada too. mmm read more

So I have to be upfront about my judging methods. At a Mexican restaurant I care about the beans, rice, and chile rellenos. I want my food to be hot and fast. The beans are delicious, the rice is delicious, and the chile rellenos are made with fresh chilies and are not overfilled with cheese. The food was hot and fast. As a bonus the waiter was excellent, prompt, and courteous, without pestering. I lied a little bit... I also expect a Mexican restaurant to have aguas frescas so I have to give Casa Ramos 4 stars. Oh and they didn't have my back-up drink either. I like the grapefruit jarritos but they do have lime which is an okay stand-in. Overall, an enjoyable experience and I will be back. read more

Gee, we went and it had been open alittle over a week i think......It was really geeting busy as we arrived. Yet we decided to wait the 25 minues they said. Walked in to the bar area to look around and realized we coud eat in there also. As we discussed it one of the waiters heard us and came right over with a big smile and told us over here I have a table for you. Very nice. Everyone was very attentive and helpful about the menue items. We found our food to be great and our drinks just fine. The plates were served piping hot and huge portions. My wife and I love this Mexican place. The building is spotless food is fresh. and the service outstanding. All the help is excellent 'but; we look for Yesenia's table when we come in. Shw has a great attitude is fast but doesn't rush you. Our grandson 18 months flirts with her each time we go in. We have found ourselves eating here or taking the meal home at least once a week. We eat at this place often and love the food, but last night we decided to sit in the bar because we wanted a glass of wine and a beer for happy hour, (you must sit in bar to get happy hour prices) we sat down and was ignored by the waiter until I finally had to ask for menus and he bring us ONE (?) for two people. I had to ask for another. Then finally after flagging down the extremely rude waiter down, he took our order and did not tell me that the one wine I ordered was not happy hour price. Then had to flag him down again (keep in mind in 4:30 and not busy) to take our food order, we had to ask for more salsa. Never got refill on waters or chips. Never asked how our food was, never asked if we wanted more wine or beer. Waiter would walk by us and not even look at us. This was actually the worsts service I have ever had. He dropped off the bill without even saying a word. I usually alway tip a waiter because sometimes they are just so busy and I understand, but this guy was not busy at all, he would stand and talk to the bar tender while I'm trying to get his attention. Unbelievable. No tip for this guy. I can say the food was great. read more
