Went here with a party of 12. When we got seated we were asked for drinks... the coke was not good at all and neither was the arnold palmers. They were very watered down... like alot. After about 10 minutes the drinks came out. A few of us ordered water... and it came out last. We weren't handed menus until after our drinks came. We ordered food and waited a good 30 minutes... it is still not out yet... Writing this review while waiting... 1 hour past. Most of the food came out cold. Only ones that were hot were fajitas that someone got at the table. My girlfriend got some bacon wrapped shrimp topped with cheese. It was suppose to be hot and steaming like a fajita came out cold. The melted cheese had just clumped together. My Mexico city tacos were cold. Wasn't very happy with it. One of the servers came out and told us that he will give us all free drinks. The waitress came to refill the coke my girlfriend got and it didn't come back until she decided to stop eating the cold food. 7 minutes to refill a coke from the bar. Seriously, not sure how 2 parties of 5 were seated after us, finished eating when our food just came out. Must try? No Try again? I'll get McDonalds next time. read more

I'm surprised I'm first. This is a tradition for PSSR track days to end here. Large groups of people ordering copious amounts of tequila and food. Its all fun. The service is accomodating and the people in the town are great. Order the Pollo Mazatlan for something a bit different. I haven't been able to find it anywhere else like it is here. read more

Not that great and rather expensive, especially for Willows. Friends and I were traveling around one day and ended up in Willows. A friend recommended some Chinese in the area but sadly, it was closed. This is the alternative we chose. Turns out, there is a Casa Ramos in Chico. At least we get to see the farmlands and wide open space during our travels. For a little over $20, you get rice, beans, and a burrito. The food is not that bad, and the server was great. Definitely a mediocre Mexican place to eat. For a small town when nothing else aside from fast food or a basic diner is open it makes a fair choice. The chorizo con huevos was made with chopped up hamburger patty which they insisted was chorizo. Pretty bad. read more

Okay...so it wasn't the "best" mexican food I've ever had, but it was delicious. No complaints. See pic. I really liked that Roberto (our server) was prompt, attentive, and friendly. Went here the first night for a thunderhill/dirtbike weekend and was pleasantly surprised. Mostly had drinks at the bar, and I agree with everyone else that Karen is an awesome bartender!! She remembered our drinks the second night we went back. The guac there was fresh and tasty, the steak fajita was also pretty good. They have pretty big portions as we split the steak fajita (for one person) between two people both nights. Could have had something to do with the drinks we had, though. The fact that we could walk 10 steps and be back in our motel rooms (Travelodge) is a plus. I'll be coming here whenever I head out to Thunderhill! :) read more

Having an insatiable craving for Mexican cuisine, my GF and I went to Casa Ramos via en route home. Our expectations of authentic-tasting Mexican food were incongruent with what we actually ate. In a compendium, the food was tottering average to below grade. It taste more like fast food quality. The decor was more origianl (too bad it wasn't paired with the food). The service was nice though (hence, three stars). Overall, we agreed that we'd probably not come back, unless they overhauled their food ingredients and preparations. Our group comes here the night before track day. We usually have about 10-15 people and take up the little patio-like room and it's nice and cozy. The food is really good and so are the drinks. The service for our party isn't always the most attentive, but it's pretty good for being in the middle of nowhere. Nice to have an option that's not fast food. read more

A long since staple for the racing community, Casa Ramos offers moderately priced food, decent drinks, and good atmosphere. The biggest selling point for the restaurant is that it shares space with the Golden Pheasant which is the hotel that most trackday/racers stay at during their race weekend. As with most chain restaurants the food is consistent, I usually get the mojecate. Which is somewhat bland spice wise but decent all around. I'm up at the track quite a bit and usually make an effort to eat here on Saturday nights. The bartender Karen is definitely a star of the place. She knows everyone's drinks and usually has it poured before you fully sit down. Wouldn't travel just for this place, but if you're stuck in willows it's not a bad option. read more

Being a Mexican food snob, I am always worried when I go somewhere new. This was excellent. Service was perfect. Salsa and chips spot on. Margarita delicious and carne asada dinner was sublime. I would give this restaurant a zero, if a zero rating were available. The service is terrible. We've waited for fifteen minutes for a server or manager to acknowledge we were in the restaurant more than once-at least six times. My son and I decided to give the restaurant another try recently, because Elinita's was closed.We waited and waited. The only two waitresses in the restaurant were busy with the only other table with customers-a table of five. We were served chips and salsa, no water. Bad company practices, and lack of customer appreciation runs rampant with this restaurant..soon as we walked into the restaurant, we were greeted with a large sign that states the special for the day... advertised at $10... there were 6 of us that ordered the advertised special.. food was decent to an extent.. when we got our bill, we were shocked to see our specials that we ordered were $15 bucks each... upon notifying our waiter and management, they simply stated that the advertised special "was the wrong price" in which they actually went to the sign and changed the cost from $10 to $15 bucks! The food is good but overpriced. I have been here several times and have had some bad experiences with service. If you get a male server ( I was told he was the manager) that doesn't find it necessary to write down your order no matter the size of the table - plan on it being wrong and you will be over charged every time!! Not only will he tell you he was right he will tell you to go across the street to McDonald's and eat next time!! The only reason I am giving this place stars at all is because the food is good!! Welp....its been about 3 years since we've eaten at Casa Ramos in willows. We had a pretty unpleasant experience last time we were there and we swore we would never go back. But in a moment of weakness for Mexican food and our 2 other Mexican restaurants in town closed we decided to try Casa Ramos again. Wow...what a mistake! If waiting on service, placing bets on how many flies we can kill on our table (a table that was so bad that we had to ask for a wet rag to clean it ourselves), watching the guy walk by without our waters we had asked for 20 minutes earlier, getting charged for drinks you didn't order then this place is for you! This was eerily similar to the problems we have had there in the past. This used to be a great place to go for good food and service...not sure what happened but we will most definitely never step foot in that place again! I am a local and have seen this place deteriorate from a great place to a place with horrible service and a place that will upsell things on your order! CHECK YOUR RECIPT! CHECK YOUR RECEIPT! Went here twice in the last week because it was only one of two places open in town. The first night, my table of four waited 15 minutes to be greeted at our table, and another 25 to receive our drinks. The second night, it took over 40 minutes to be able to pay our check, and then our credit card was sent to the wrong table. Both times the place was barely full, but the staff was clearly overwhelmed and mismanaging their time. Please hire more competent people when you know you'll experience higher traffic. read more

I hate this place. It's absolutely disgusting. Although the portions are big, they are nothing more than microwaved refried beans plopped down next to some hard, under-cooked rice, with whatever the main entree is. There is nothing appealing about the food itself when it first comes to the table - all I saw was a bunch of yellows and browns, with no distinction in texture. After forcing myself to take a bite of the mess I ordered, I found the meat in my burrito to be dry and tough, and the tortilla was cold and stale. The only reason I'm even giving this place one star is because their free tortilla chips are decent (which I ended up eating for the rest of my meal since I couldn't swallow another bite of what was on my plate). read more

This place in my opinion is pretty good. You ask for an order and the add some beans or rice on the side. They also give you chips to enjoy while you wait for your food. Every time you finish those chips they will take the bowl and bring more. Each time they bring more they charge you. read more

It's just too much! Too much cheese in my chile relleno, and I love cheese. Too much burritos on my friends plate. He ordered a chicken burrito and got two. Another com-padre ordered chicken mole and it came out on a mega saucer covered in food. Service was super slow although we were there close to closing which makes me think that they had to unpack a bunch of stuff to complete our orders. ehhhhh. We stumbled in here a few years back after trying the other mexican restaurant in town after a track day at T-Hill. Very pleasant surprise! The food isn't knock your socks off original,but is good to very good depending on what you order........... but the servings are HUGE. I can never finish it all and I'm not a little guy. So come hungry for sure. If you love hot taste salsa, ask for the Habanaro salsa, they don't have it all the time but it has an excellent flavor and is smokin', so beware!! They have an excellent tequila selection in the bar and Ann is great behind the bar. The service has always been good for us. The owner is very pleasant and runs a tight staff and believe me, he's right there helping and keeping on top of his customer's needs. If your in a spot on the right tequila for a shot or two, ask the owner, he knows his tequilas. His private stash is spendy, but oh so smooth. We always eat here every Friday on race weekends with AFM, and enjoy sitting in bar and watching sports, and having dinner at the resaurant. read more

We decided to try out Casa Ramos, there were many of cars in the parking lot...usually a good sign but not this time!! We ordered the enchilada & a chimichanga (the chimichanga had celery, big chunks of onions and refried beans mixed in with the ground beef?). both dishes came with beans & Mexican rice, everything was so bland!! As a local I've been going to Casa Ramos for years. They have been one of the better Mexican restaurants around, Even better than their other restaurant in Chico. But they have allowed the poor market conditions to give them the excuse that they need to cut back. Where you used to get a massive burrito with rice and beans, now you get only the burrito looking lonely on the plate and for a few dollars more. (wink wink Clint). Please go back to your pre-economic downturn plating and the locals will return. Keep cheating us and this restaurant is doomed to fail. We have eaten at this restaurant many times in the past, since it's convenient for us to meet with our daughter and grandchildren who live in Sacramento as it is a half-way point for all of us. However, after the experience we had when we last visited, we have decided we will no longer patronize this eatery. There were 6 adults in our group and our total bill was $88.00. Our grandchildren left a tip, in CASH, on the table, and our daughter said she checked it and it was over 15% of the total bill. We put the $88.00 charge on our Visa card. When we got our Visa bill, for whatever reason an employee or manager had added $5.00 to the total charge, making the amount that showed up on our Visa bill $91.00. We immediately reported this 'act of dishonesty' to our Visa provider and I did write a letter to the owner/manager of the restaurant but have never received a response. I warned our grandchildren to ALWAYS make sure they get a copy of any charge slip, whether it be a debit charge to their bank account or a credit card account, as we have had this same thing happen to us before. If an establishment does not operate with honesty and integrity, we are not interested in giving them our business. I realize $5.00 isn't an overwhelming amount, but if they add sums to other charge slips throughout the day, they are upping their profits - and that's not right!! read more
