Very cute mom Mexican restaurant! They have a small shop in there as well? You have options of buying different candies and sweets, as well as if you homemade desserts. This place used to be a donut shop and I never would've thought to have turned into a little restaurant. There city area was the perfect size for about five or six little intimate tables. The spouse ordered carne asada taco and cheese quesadilla to go. We sat at one the tables to wait for our order. The lady at the register brought chips and dip, which was good, while we waited. We used Casa Rosita's for our wedding and we were very pleased with the service and the food. We used the brunch menu that included an omelette station and breakfast buffet. All my guests raved about food, and the cafe de la olla was amazing. We opted to use 3 of the servers and they did an amazing job, they kept the tables clean and were friendly and helpful. My son & I have been coming here for a while now and everything we've had has been so delicious & fresh tasting that we crave it all the time, it's been our go to Mexican food place ever since our first visit. For me personally, Casa Rosita's food brings back childhood memories of my mom's cooking, and my mom, who passed many years ago, was a wonderful home cook, so every time I go there it's like going for a delicious home-cooked meal from mom. And although we live in Whittier, my son & I will always choose to go there whenever we crave delicious home style Mexican food, and it's always worth the drive! So far we've had the carne asada burritos, asada tacos, birria, pork w/nopales(cactus) in green sauce (also loved the discontinued red sauce version), and special menu items such as chile rellenos & pork w/calabasitas in red sauce, also their beans & rice. I live close by & made this my morning to go spot when I have a chance to stop by & dine in. I have tried their Chilaquiles 6/10, menudo 4/10, chile Relleno 9/10 & the Green enchiladas 7/10. I really love their coffee but today the young pretty lady wanted to charge me $1.50 for a to go cup of coffee (never been charged before) which is disappointing cause like really! This place is right around the corner from my house. Their food is very tasty. I've tried the Menudo, Pozole, shrimp tacos, Chilaquiles red & green & the French toast is yummy too. Let's just say I like this place. Service is always excellent. It's a small cozy place with inside seating. read more

Rosa A. Yes I understand that everything is listed, and that my friend made a mistake and shorted by requesting no onions. However, to keep pointing that out over and over again and not being polite about it is where I have the issue. If she wasn't so argumentative and just said it in a friendly manner, it would be a whole different story. However, she did not her point was more about embarrassing, my friend that she did it incorrectly. Again, people make mistakes people ordering as well as establishment. Everyone is human however you don't have to be argumentative and make a person feel bad by a simple mistake. The first server that sure no problem I took the plate. It was the second girl wearing the Mexico jersey that kept saying it over and over at least three times. It was her whole attitude and demeanor that was not pleasant again, very argumentative. This is a quaint little spot--well-packed but still had room for a couple more. I walked in and asked what their best meat was. The friendly staff said either the carne asada or the al pastor. I went with the pastor, planning to eat the burrito on the go, but after the first bite, I couldn't even put the car in drive. I had to stop and enjoy it. The burrito was delicious--creamy beans, zesty pastor, flavorful rice--all the ingredients came together perfectly. This spot just earned a regular stop on my route between Long Beach and Corona. I ordered lunch, but I noticed a few breakfast plates on nearby tables that looked amazing. If I were you, I'd definitely give this place a try. It's a little hole-in-the-wall tucked inside the old Fullerton Harley-Davidson parking lot. There's plenty of parking now that the dealership is gone. This place has been open for a few months now and I've had them on my radar ever since they first opened. Their menu is very simple so that's great. Their breakfast menu sounded good but I had to try their taco plate so we got to the place exactly at noon. My mom and I each ordered their taco plate. We got one plate with asada and another one with pastor. Their asada tacos were decent but the meat was on the harder side. Their pastor was absolutely delicious and seasoned very well. The refried beans topped with cotija cheese was good but the rice wasn't. The rice was definitely not fresh and tasted like it was reheated from the previous day because there were come chunks of hard rice in the mix. When our food was served, we also got a bottle of salsa rojo and a guacamole salsa. Both were good and not salty at all. My only complaints were the quality control of their rice and how small the tacos were. For a small mom and pop shop, this place is very good. Prices are very cheap but with that, the portions are extremely small. I would consider going back to try their huevos rancheros and wet burritos but I'm in no rush to do so. There's so many good Mexican restaurants in the area and this place did not stand out enough to get that 5-star review. read more

Another 5 star review for this place. I had the Huevos Rancheros. They bring out a little dish of freshly fried tortilla chips with refried beans while you wait. And if you eat it fast like I did they refill it. I ordered eggs well done and these were perfect with unbroken jammy yolks. The entire plate was covered with their delicious frijoles which I was already familiar. Then the familiar corn tortillas, the perfect eggs, and red sauce garnished with queso seco and cilantro. The red sauce is the star (as it should be). This red sauce is bright, tangy like fresh tomato, and perfectly spicy. Excellent! I want to try the chilequiles next time but I think the prices are a bit off. Chilaquiles with no meat or eggs? I would think the base price needs to include eggs instead of a $4 up charge. This little restaurant is small and can get crowded fast. So far my family and I have had these dishes. *Pancakes with fruit- had a sweet vanilla taste with a moist texture.( husband really liked them, he doesn't even usually like pancakes) *Breakfast burrito- egg,bacon, cheese & potatoes. Nice size plenty of each item.potatoes inside are well seasoned. Homemade tortilla. (Just like grandma used to make) * half & half chilaquiles- soo soo good with a little kick to the salsas. That's the way I like them. Each sauce has nice depth to them. Chips come out with crunch. I don't think I want chilaquiles anywhere else. I been wanting to try out the food for a while now. The only reason I am giving a 3 star is because I ordered a Chilaquiles breakfast burrito with pastor and red source in it but instead I got a carne asada burrito. The carne asada burrito was delicious. However it's not what i wanted. I called the store and the associate that answered was nice but I don't think she got the fact that I was over charged. I don't like to return my food or make a scene so I didn't go back. The employee there were nice and they had awesome candy from Mexico which I purchased for my kids (and my self) which also tasted delicious. My experience at Casa Rosita was a 10/10. It had a very home like feeling, a lot of good energy, good music, and good customer service. When you walk in you have a a lot of choices of drinks and snacks, specifically from Mexico. Giving the atmosphere a very nostalgic vibe especially if you are Mexican. The food came out Great. The chilaquiles nice and crunchy, well flavored all around with the beans and your choice of meat and eggs. The Cafe De Olla was delicious! No creamer or sugar needed!
