I had asked for some spicy salsa and I don't know what was brought out to me, but it was more like Tabasco. The only thing good about this place are the very cheap prices and a very large $6 margarita at happy hour . BUT, You get what you pay for. Fajitas, lots of peppers and onions, not much meat. Shrimp looked boiled not grilled. My Poblano Rellenos were simply wrapped in a corn tortilla rather than fried in a batter as they should be. Very tasteless. 2 women ordered 1/2 portions of Fajitas(I heard them) and unbeknownst to them were given full portions(again mostly peppers and onions) and charged for the full portion. And when they brought it to the attention of the manager she rudely insinuated that they should have realized it by the size of the portion. How would they know? Not returning. I ordered a veggie burrito that was fine. My husband ordered the pork carnitas. DO NOT ORDER!!!! There was A RUSTY WIRE INSIDE OF THE TACO! When we called the restaurant to let them know, the gentleman on the phone was honest with us... they let us know that the pork carnitas meat comes packaged with wires staples into the meat. The parking lot was a nightmare! The overall restaurant was fun and had an authentic vibe. The staff wasn't particularly friendly. There was a large party of 60 and they were clearly lingering longer than they should have. The staff was frustrated and annoyed and couldn't seat anyone. It was a bit chaotic! We returned to Florida after 6 months in NY and couldn't wait to return to Casa Tequila. It's hard to believe but we don't have a decent Mexican restaurant near us. Just wish we had a Casa Tequila near us up there. It is a consistent WINNER !!! When we arrived close to 8 PM on a Wednesday night we expected to find the place crowded since it is the start of the season and also the mariachi band is there on Wednesday. There is plenty of parking right out front ... There are a few tables occupied out front but it is starting to rain a little so we head inside. It is also quite empty.. We are shown to a nice booth towards the back. A female server brings us complimentary chips but she has spicy salsa and we ask for the mild salsa. She leaves for a few minutes and returns with their YUMMY, fresh, crispy, addictive chips and the salsa with just the right amount of KICK to it. The rest of the meal is as good as ever.... very large portions of freshly prepared tasty food and a delicious exceptional, enormous red sangria. We have enough food left for another meal. Also enjoy the entertainment by the mariachis whose serenading we thoroughly enjoy. Such a relaxing accompaniment to an exceptional meal The vibe at Casa Tequila is relaxed and casual. Such fantastic spot with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere! Both drink and food portions are very generous for the price, making it a great value. It's also perfect for large groups. I've been here a couple times and on each occasion, there were big parties enjoying themselves. The drinks are excellent, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. I highly recommend the salsa and chips because they're constantly replenished, and the chips are uniquely flavorful, far better than your standard ones. Stopped in and had a nice dinner here last night. Service was excellent! It was crowded and we were able to get a table within a few minutes. Chips salsa and waters came to the table immediately. Chicken Fajitas were grilled nicely and came to the table on a steaming plate with onions and peppers. Comes with warm tortillas, lettuce, rice, beans, guacamole and sour cream. Fish tacos come 3 to an order. Grilled mahi with cabbage, lettuce a nice spicy red chili sauce and a side of rice. Food was good. Portions are big. Another wow. Five stars after my first visit... Definitely. From the second my group walked into this shop, it was nothing less than PERFECT. It was a very easy in and out of the parking lot and there is plenty of room for your car in this busy shopping center. They had a dozen tables set up outside and they were all taken. This is one popular restaurant. We arrived a little early and waited inside for the REST group. I could not believe the amount of foot traffic they get. Many people coming into dine as well as the amount of people taking out food. The hostess was especially cordial to all and we were greeted with a very warm hello. We were seated as soon as the remainder of the group arrived and given the usual chips and salsa for the table. YUM! The restaurant is spacious and the tables were spread out so you are not siting too close to the table next to you. The setting is warm and comfortable. Our server greeted us within seconds and took our drink order. She prepared our guacamole appetizer at the table. It was terrific. I only know her as Server #7... She was great, extremely pleasant and accommodating. She was always smiling. Everyone ordered the usual Tex-Mex of Chicken Fajitas, Steak Fajitas and I had the Camarones Cancun. (Grilled Shrimp, Beans, Rice, Sautéed Zucchini, Squash, Onions, Mushroom And Bell Peppers With Spices). I was really impressed. Everything was plentiful and tasty. I got here the other night after a day of traveling from chicago. I had dinner with my cousin and her husband. Since I dont eat spicy things and shrimp I had them rearrange their salad to include just steak and salad items but I understand they dont carry cucumbers lol... I think the place might be understaffed due to covid. It took them 30 min to get our dinner items to us. My only other complaint would be that when I checked in on yelp i got a $10.00 off coupon on items over 50. Needless to say it came to $68 and I showed them a screen shot. I was told the manager would not honor discounts via screenshot. Whatever that means. If I became a local I would be forgiving of this episode since they had 1 waiter to work 4 tables outside and 8 tables inside. I hope a jammed friday night is not like this. Always fast and friendly service here. The decore is very nice and modern. The prices are reasonable and there's quality to the food. Once you sit down you're immediately given complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa is very good with a hint of spice but there's always hot sauce for those that need it. You do need to wear a mask at all times even when going to the restroom. Otherwise you're good once you sit down or get a drink to take off you're mask. The menu is via QR code currently. I've done a lot of take-out, and I've dined in. Dine-in tip: the lunch specials are pretty filling and tasty. For two, the bill was about what it costs for two bowls at Chipotle, but Casa Tequila is definitely an elevated experience! I can't wait to try dining at dinner soon. The waiter brought out two never ending baskets of tortilla chips and salsa. The salsa and chips were really good with just enough spice for most but not overly spicy. You can request salsa with heat. Each couple ordered Guacamole made at the table it was excellent! My wife ordered the Chicken Quesadillas and she was very happy with them. I ordered the Pork Carnitas they were yummy! All of our friends enjoyed their selections. The portions were so large that nearlly all of us left with a full box. The service was excellent, We never had to wait very long for anything & our water was always full. All of the help were very polite and accomidating. I knew this spot would be a hit when we walked in and I saw a table full of police officers eating lunch. I figured they knew the landscape better than most, so they'd only pick the best for their meals. Turns out, my hunch was right! First of all, Casa Tequila does not offer your average salsa. It's so much better! Theirs is chunky and packed with real vegetables you can see (see attached photo). It carried a little kick of heat, too, which we liked! I ordered the taco (ground beef) and tamal (combination 6) and I loved it! Theirs is the very best tamal I've ever tried. It comes with pork and it's perfect. They did great on greeting guests, but dropped menus on the table and walked away. Service waiter came and just dropped chips and salsa and walked away. Then came back to ask if wanted anything to drink. Not busy for Sunday brunch before noon, so kind of unexpected. I had to wave him down to get more drinks and ask for a missing side.
