I ate here for the first time today. I ordered the Stromboli pizza - small. Holy cow, that was an awfully big small. It was cut in four pieces and I cut those in half. The food was awesome. That first bite, when your tastebuds are trying out the taste for the first time, was unbelievable and I couldn't waitress to try again. It was one of the best pizzas I've had in the area. Their customer service is the absolute worst.I have came to this location twice recently and the lady who works there is absolutely rude.The first time the bread was so hard you couldn't even bite into it today she was irritated that I ordered 3 sandwiches I also ordered a pizza she said I'm barely making the pizza dough keep in mind it 3 pm.When I walked in place is completely dirty lady is sitting at the table on the phone before taking our order and I honestly would give her a 1/10 for customer service.I can see why the owner is trying to sell.Its very sad cause mancinos used to be known for their great food and customer service read more

I hate to give a small business a bad review but this place deserves it. Waited at the counter to order for a while. When the girl finally came out from the back she said "sorry, we were slammed." 2 tables present but ok. We ordered a whole sausage and cheese grinder to share as the menu said it is 16 inches. Then we waited. And waited. Told 2 more times how they were slammed. Finally got the sandwich and it was just...weird. Bread was crumbly, seemed stale then toasted? Sausage was round little pieces like you find on a cheap frozen pizza and no taste. I'm guessing sausage and sauce were microwaved but not nearly enough, had bites that were ice cold. The food here is 3-stars worthy. I really wish it could have been better, because I was craving a good hot sub for lunch. But alas, it was very pedestrian--nothing to write home about. The service makes them lose a star. The employee at the store was watching an NCIS-like TV show with super loud volume in the small dining room area where we were trying to eat, which made it difficult to have a conversation. We LOVE a good sub sandwich and were excited to learn about this place after living in the area for a couple of years. We love certain places and avoid others as is probably the case with most people. We are VERY big believers in the saying "you only get once to make a good first impression" and that is especially true with the places we choose to have cook for us. We wanted to love this place, but sadly, after our experience today will probably never go back. I ordered a whole chicken, bacon, ranch and cheese grinder. After adding extra chicken, bacon, cheese, ranch dressing and sandwich sauce, it was a $20 sandwich. My wife ordered the French dip and salad combo. It was.....OK, but says she probably wouldn't get it again. Now, back to my $20 sandwich, loaded with extra everything but mayonnaise. If what I got was "extra" in the meats, sauces and cheese department, then I would truly hate to see what would have come without "extras" being added. It tasted good, I'll give them that, though it was a bit "dry" for supposedly having two different dressings and extra of both being ordered. And the bread was good, too. It's only because of the taste and the bread that I'm giving this restaurant 2 stars instead of just one. We WILL pay for good food and service and patronize places that give a great product for the money spent and again, were excited about this place and the reviews we read, it just sadly fell short to us for the amount spent. $30+ for 2 sandwiches, a salad, some chips and a small drink is excessive for what we actually got. This place is good! Nothing spectacular or super special, but good. Half any sandwich (8"), chips, drink and salad or soup for $10! Great deal since it all tastes good. I had the pastrami with provolone. All subs come toasted. Mine also came with lettuce and tomato on it. Had I know I would've ordered without the lettuce and tomato since they put it on BEFORE they toast the sub. It still had good flavor! The place is a little small, but wasn't too crowded for lunch. I recommend this place if you're in the area and looking for a good bite that isn't a chain restaurant. read more

I have eaten here several times for lunch and always have gotten one of the grinders. I will say that the bread is fantastic! Every sandwich I have had has been fresh, flavorful, and served with a friendly attitude. The tables don't always feel fresh and clean, and there doesn't appear to be a bathroom should you need one. I will say that I am tempted to order up a pizza and see if it is as bad as everyone claims it is, though I doubt it. read more

This is kind of what you'd expect from a hole-in-the-wall pizza and subs joint. I was recommended this place specifically for the Italian Combo sub. I was fairly wary of this, as most "subs" at a pizza place are like pizzas that someone put on bread. Regardless, my teammate insisted that it was awesome and, if I had nothing better to do, I had to try it. The place was small, sparsely furnished, and looked like a converted, 70s-style residential building (kind of... that's my best guess). It immediately says, "You don't come here for the ambiance." Most of the customers knew the drill; they had ordered in-advance and everything was to-go, as this is not necessarily a relaxing place to eat lunch. To cut a long story short, the sandwich was very satisfying. I can't say it's on my top ten favorite sandwiches of all-time, nor was it much more than a "pizza on bread." However, there was something just unique enough, as well as satisfying, to make me want to give this place four stars on the first attempt. That said, if I were you, I'd want to go in with low expectations and be pleasantly surprised (a nice synopsis for this visit), rather than go in expecting gold and feel like you got cheated. Another home run....Can't go wrong with a warm grinder ...AND they have Sriracha sauce! These aren't just Subs they are heated sandwiches which makes them a grinder (the upper crust of sandwiches) and not a Sub. read more

My fiancee and I decided to try this place today since Idaho Pizza had a 45 minute wait. We walked in and there were 2 tables waiting for their order, not very busy at all but there were a lot of tables reserved for a party. We placed our order and I asked for no sub sauce on my sandwich because oregano makes my stomach sick. Took about 15-20 minutes to get our food which is fine, we figured they were prepping for the party they had coming in. When our food finally came out my sandwich had the sub sauce on it. I took it up front and asked for a new one, the girl at the front counter took my sandwich and went into the back. No apoology or let us remake that, just walked off. So I went back to my table and it took another 20 minutes for them to bring my sandwich out and the guy just sets it down without a word. At that point my fiancee had finished his pizza and we had places to be so he asked the server to bring us 2 boxes for his leftover pizza and my sandwich. The guy comes back with a pizza box and nothing for my sandwich so I ask him again for one. He rolls his eyes and brings me a piece of tinfoil to wrap my sandwich in. Not even a bag to put it in. I can understand making a mistake and if they had just apologized I would have been fine but instead they had to act like I put them out when they made my sandwich wrong in the first place. Needless to say we might as well have waited the 45 minutes for IPC. Im being nice with 2 stars because their bread was good, subpar meat and my fiancee said the pizza was so so. Today we decided to try it again 4 days later At 12:15, again we were told they were out of dough & didn't know when they'd get a chance to make it. When I am in Nampa and I feel like a nice quiet restaurant and some Italian food, I stop by here. Conveniently located on a corner lot in a strip mall with easy access in and out and able amount of parking. Sandwiches and pizza are their main theme. Lunch specials come with salad or soup (I had the potato bacon soup today and it stop the show today, it was excellent), chips and and refillable drink. Their small sandwiches are 8' and their larges are 16'. Good place to get a couple sandwiches and split with friends. I have had sandwiches and pizza and they were both good. Today I tried the meatball sandwich and it wasn't bad. I like local shops and the customer service is always kind and friendly. Employees are always cleaning which is nice but realized today, the carpets have gotten a little dirty since the last visit. All in all, I enjoy Mancino's I hope to be in the area again and try other menu items. read more

My husband and I stopped here a few weeks ago, surprised to see that it was actually open. We have tried to come here with our family about five other times, all at different days of the week, different times (never late) to find it was closed for some unspecified reason. The girl didn't look too happy to see us walk in, I guess because we interrupted her vacuuming. It was just before 7pm when we ordered, two Italian Combos. We were looking forward to catching up after a long day and enjoying a great sandwich before hitting the grocery store. After paying we headed towards a table (we were the only customers in the place) and the employee informed us we couldn't sit there and would have to take our food to go. What?! I asked why? She told me that it had been a slow night, she had only had four customers, and that she was closing and was about to go home. Seriously. As I sat there fuming, I noticed a sign stating all orders after 7:30 pm would have to be to-go. A whole half hour away. Another friendly (eye roll) sign on the Pepsi machine stating no free refills and something about charging for cups. Are the owners wondering why business is slow??? There was not one thing about our visit that made us feel like valued customers and that our business was appreciated. And then to top it off, having to eat a messy sandwich in our car in the parking lot... well... we haven't been back since. read more
