The best food around. Really, it's all good. Atmosphere is lovely too. We try to stop in on our way from up North whenever we can.

I can not believe this place has good reviews. The food is mediocre at best. The whole chicken was so salty, the garlic Mashed potatoes tasted fake, like garlic and salt. When I got my "veggie melody" I got 4 baby carrots, 1 small Brussels sprout and a half of one. The chicken was dry and salty with the skin being rubbery and only tasting like salty chicken. The veggie melody tasted like they just poured a bunch of salt over the veggies and a glaze that was brown. Honestly I would have guested they cooked it in the same pot as the chicken and just didn't rinse the fat off of them.... I was sooo disappointed. We had ordered potato skins as an appetizer which ended up having that mash garlic mashed Potatoes grossness on top. It took over 35mins for that appetizer to get to our table. Our food took even longer. My daughter got wings so I decided to eat those. Yuck!!! They were rubbery. I never understood what people meant by the chicken was rubbery until this meal. Twice now I had tasted rubbery chicken. I the waitress had brought around a jug of coke to refill my coke. It was flat and watery. My husband said his burger was good. Needless to say I left hungry and stoped at Culver's on the way home. Disappointed because I really wanted to find a new place to eat at that was closer to home. We will not be back. I paid $80 for a meal that I didn't like and ended up actually not eating. read more

I had Lunch at the Cascade Roadhouse today for the first time. Some of the reviews I read were very positive. I ordered the Salmon BLT and was disappointed. The taste was good but there was very little salmon on the sandwich. I ordered the Brussel Sprouts and they were not completely cooked. To be honest the person I was with ordered the Patti Melt and said it was good. I have to say that the service was very good, the wait staff was attentive and helpful. My rating would have been a one star were it not for my partners meal and the wait staff. read more

Went here one the suggestion of friends and we were very happy about it. They seemed to like their meals, too. The menu was surprisingly eclectic without being too over the top. My wife got some fancy shrimp/pasta thing that she just loved. I got the french dip with fries and it was excellent. Believe me - I know my french dip and this was in the top 5 I've ever had. The only disappointment was dessert. Not a huge selection but good variety. However - we all got something different and not one of us ate more than half of it. Not because we were full but more because it just wasn't all that great. Not complain-to-the-chef terrible, but just not all that good. I think you know what I mean. I do like an honest waitress and hours was very matter-of-fact. If they didn't have it, she didn't bore us with apologies for not having something. They just didn't have it. Lime beers? No. Drink specials? No. Ok - I can appreciate that sort of directness. I normally don't get an alcoholic drink - usually just a diet soda. I was really pleased that our waitress brought me my own half-carafe of soda. Made me feel so empowered. Not a huge place - don't bring your group of 20. But if you do have a large group, just order their steak to go. It sounded good enough I thought about having a party that weekend just for an excuse to get it. Love the redone exterior with it's covered seating around their outdoor plaza. No sun glare, wind or parking lot views but you can also sit in the sunny center area ... YEAH! Like the casual inside too. If you hate noise ask for one of the many smaller side rooms instead of the main dining area. 3 visits all w excellent service. The portions are often big enough to split (I like to get an extra side dish) and the servers, cooks are usually doing a very good job. Recommend you try this place before winter closes in on us. We've had a couple very good meals here. Most recently on a Friday evening about 7pm. It wasn't overly busy, but our service was a bit slow. Took a long time to get our beverages and waitress seemed "distracted". Our food was just what we ordered, hot stuff was very hot, cold stuff cold, and everything tasted very good. They have a good variety of dishes, including daily specials and homemade soups. We shared the buffalo wings, my husband had a club sandwich, and I had the fish-n-chips. Excellent chips (steak fries..mmm!) When you enter the main doors, you have the option of going to the bar (on the right) or the dining area on the left. The bar is super smoke-y. Smoke not so noticable in the dining area. We did have to wait a few minutes for someone to notice us to be seated. read more

This was my first experience here. Walking up to the hostess I saw the outside eating area which looked really nice. The inside was just as a pleasurable atmosphere and made me rather excited to eat here. After looking at the menu and choosing dinner we sat....and sat....and sat. This is where this place went downhill for us. We sat for approximately 15 minutes AFTER making our decision for dinner. Not once did a server approach us, ask us if we'd been helped, or even acknowledged us outside of making eye contact. After sitting for a little while longer we decided we were going to starve to death before we were helped so we left. Well, the brothers R Have hit one out of the park. The remodeling is fantastic. The dining areas broken up to nicely keep the volume down while staying open and inviting. There is a huge outdoor eating and bar area as well with several fireplaces. It's a fantastic use of the space. The menu is filled with comfort food. The portions are huge. The prices are extremely fair - including the bar. My wife and a often split the perch dinner and we usually end up with a take home box. We have had a couple of servers who struggled a bit. I suspect that will change when the areas great servers see the place full most night. Billy, David, Johns, and Dennis well done. Love it. read more

We came there for the first time in years, my husband retired and it was his birthday, so it was a big deal. We were seated in a boring room with terrible music, next to windows with cobwebs all over them. We ordered the prime rib, which is why we came here. We were not offered a salad or rolls, no choice on sides. We were served bloody rare prime which had to be sent back, heavy mashed potatoes, and broccoli. The prime was still quite rare when we got it but didn't dare send it back again. For $21.00 a plate we deserved much more than we received. Being closed for months, this restaurant has had plenty of time to clean, which was not done. We will not come back for dinner. read more

I have been in a few times since the remodel the service is always great even when the line is out the door. During my first visit I was even invited by the hostess to grab a drink at the bar while I waited. Their draft selection is one of the best in town! Only bar I have seen so far that had a shorts cider on tap! The spinach artichoke and the Buffalo chicken dip are so hard to choose between because they are both exelent. The smoked gouda pasta is reason in itself to go back not to mention the great variety of desserts. When I asked about the desserts I was surprised to learn that most were made locally at the bakery owned by the same family that own the restaurant. I can't wait for the out door seating to open this summer! I herd there is going to be an outdoor fireplace, booths, tables and a full bar outside! read more

Remodel is a bit confusing: one part woodsy, one part barn, and one room apparently unchanged (still had the cherry-ish finish on woodwork, kitschy plates for wall decor, and older tables). I don't get why one room wasn't updated to match the others. In the main dining, the benches sit too high, so you have to lean way too far forward to eat in order to compensate for the height of the bench. My feet could not touch the floor! I felt like Lily Tomlin's Edith Ann. The portions are gigantic. I ordered the mussels off the appetizer menu, and the bowl was enormous, stacked to a peak with mussels. They were very tender, and delicious. One appetizer filled me up. Keep portions in mind when ordering (ask wait staff to describe the portion size), or plan to share. In this sense, it's a great deal for the money. read more

Out on 28th street on a Tuesday night, my husband suggested Cascade Roadhouse. His company had sold the kitchen hoods and he wondered about the food. Walking in we thought of how fun it would be to visit in the summer or fall. Great looking outdoor area. We walked right in! My father in law had the potato skins. My husband had the roast. My mother in law had the chicken. I had a side salad (which was huge) and the tacos on the app menu. All were good! Homemade with good flavor. Would definitely stop again when the outdoors is open for cocktails! read more

Food was excellent. I had the perch (best fish and chips I've had in America), my daughter had the ribeye (tender with wonderful mushroom sauce). Others in our group had burgers. Menu has something for everyone and cost is very reasonable. Everyone in our group of 20 said they would love to go again. We are a basketball team visiting from Pittsburgh and wanted to eat at a local place instead of one of the zillion chain restaurants in the area. I had a wonderful experience at Cascade Roadhouse. I order the Fried Perch and it was cooked to perfection. Our server Bailey was excellent, was prompt, made sure our orders placed and returned to us at a timely fashion. Did I mention it was a party of 11 or more? Yes, and Bailey served us well. first of all the food is good and the ambiance is nice as well, however the service is absolutely horrible. we had a table of 8 on a friday night so with that said we went early for dinner at 6pm and were seated right away. the hostess was pleasant and we got drinks right away but after that everything went downhill service wise. we were continuously ignored and had to ask several times for our server, she apologized once and told us that her aunt was having dinner a couple of tables away. i guess we were to understand that was the reason why we received terrible service. upsetting and we won't return anytime soon. if you ecpect a 20-30% tip then i expect a honest effort. read more

I go to the roadhouse for my lunch break and always enjoy myself. I normally sit at the bar and everyone is very helpful and friendly. They're always very attentive and my food comes out very timely and is always delicious! I've also spent many of my dinners here and the staff and food couldn't be better. My wife and I have visited several times as we live in the area. Reasonable prices, above average food- had great burgers and fair service.

This place is great. Outside seating has opened up just in time for summer. I would highly recommend the turkey sandwich on a pretzel bun with fries, but their burgers are good as well. Staff is friendly and cute. My only complaint would be the dining room on the non-bar-side of the restaurant. They need some acoustic panels in there or something because it gets really loud. My friends and I typically sit outside or on the bar side. Minor complaint thought since you do have a choice of where you sit. This place has become a regular staple of our lunch rotation. Review Edit - After quite a few visits I've reduced this from 5 stars to 3. There were a couple glaring things that caused this, one of which has been that on two separate occasions we've had members of our party order sandwiches that have come on moldy buns. After being brought to the staff's attention the platters were comped and the sandwiches were quickly replaced, which I believe was an appropriate course of action for sure. They explained to us that they use bread without any sort of preservatives in it and that stuff like that can happen. I can understand this, but how hard is it to check and make sure that the bread you're serving isn't moldy before you use it to make a sandwich. If you're going to go the preservative-free route, which there's nothing wrong with, a quick spot-check is in order... especially when it could mean someone getting sick. Another complaint, which has taken this facility out of our normal lunch rotation, is the stark contrast between the dinner and lunch menus. Want something other than a sandwich, burger or salad at lunch? I hope you like fish, because the only lunch entres available are fish tacos and fried perch. This is a shame since the dinner menu has all sorts of great things on it, and burgers, cold sandwiches, and salads can be had anywhere and usually less money. read more

This place is trash. Got a mojito there that tasted like cheap tooth rot. Our waitress asked if they tasted ok because the mint that was used didn't really look that 'fresh', and that she'd go next door to get new mint and replace them if we wanted. Nice gesture if wasn't preceded by telling me you put spoiled produce in my drink. WTF, come on people. Guess I'm glad the artificial mixer overpowered everything else. Worst service I've had all year. Dinners were delivered and that was the last we saw of our waitress that is until it was time for the bill. Had to go to the bar to ask for a beer that had been ordered but not delivered, a plate for the rib bones, an extra napkin for the ribs and ketchup. The napkin never arrived, were never asked how our dinners were and brought a check without asking for it. The couple sitting next to us asked how the ribs were, "dry" I answered. I mentioned the poor service, they were already aware of that. The manager apologized but questioned my statement "Workers were standing at the bar cleaning glasses" as if I had imagined it all.
