Chelsea at the bar was great. Food was tasty and worth the price. Cool little spot. Definitely would return.

Had a good dining experience at Casey J's in Rowley. Nice pub atmosphere. Bar seating as well as high top and low tables. It looks like there will be patio seating when the weather warms up. Full bar with a decent draft list. I got a Northern Haze by True North Ale Company and my son had a Sam's Summer. I ordered the Quesadilla with Beef Brisket. This is the heartiest quesadilla I ever had and my son had to help me finish it. It comes with sour cream and house made salsa. I chose waffle fries as my side and we all agreed they were very good. My son & his wife shared Ultimate Nachos with pulled chicken-generous size and they seemed to enjoy it. I can't remember our server's name, but she was friendly and helpful-our drinks and food came out quickly and the food was hot. Clean bathroom, private lot. I'm sure I'll be back to try out some more deliciousness at Casey J's. read more

Great spot to escape to. The manager Lee is top notch in customer service and keeping the place running while personally attending to the customers. Servers like Abby are attentive and personable and checked back with you I thought the new menu and foid were great. The orders were plentiful Fair priced A+. Food service was quick, meals came out fresh and hot right from kitchen. I recommend it highly in when they have entertainment it adds another level of ambience. A favorite spot I will revisiting often. read more

Unfortunately this place has been horrible ever since the Serenitee group took over. Food is terrible and the place is absolutely dead anytime you go in there. They raised prices on everything, cut portions and took away half the bbq items that made it so popular. Would not be surprised if this place closes down before the end of the year. Another local place ruined by a bigger compay. read more

American BBQ was very good. This place is very bad IMHO. The food was subpar, and the restaurant overall didn't look very clean. Service was slow. I will never go back, even though I live in Rowley. read more

Gross. 1st time in since this place was American BBQ --we were regulars prior to the new ownership. Restaurant was dirty, inattentive server crew. Steak Tips were Alpo grade -- covered in Heinz canned mushroom gravy---also came out cold and close to raw. This place is dead--and as previously mentioned the two or three restaurant groups that keep acquiring small restaurants are killing the mid-pub market. It's all crap. read more

The SERENITEE group has once again taken over a spot and implemented its lengthy list of blah food items. In Phili, restaurant groups who own numerous places usually keep to one theme per place - Italian over here, Asian fusion there, tapas at a third spot. These guys just keep taking their crap menu and spreading it across the North Shore. It's maddening. The best way to summarize the problem is you're trying to do too much, and therefore, everything (and everyone) suffers and nothing ends up being good. read more

Great stop at Casey J's. Ate at the bar and had a Brisket Bomb which did not disappoint. Very flavorful and almost had a Philly cheesesteak taste to it. Coming back with the better half to try fish tacos and salmon, both of which passed by my seat and looked great. Love this place. read more

Well... things have certainly changed since the sale from American Barbecue... the service is still great, but the quality of the food has gone down hill. I had the ribs which were overcooked and had minimal amount of meat. The coleslaw was terrible. Very disappointing! read more

The food on my last trip was excellent. Tender turkey tips and a brisket sandwich that was amazing. The onion rings are superb. Really good. Our waitress was so nice, funny and very good. If there are certain things you don't like, don't get them again! Don't just slam the whole place. The drinks were great as well. You're crazy if you miss it. read more

Not sure what happened to this place, it used to be very good. The last 3 times I have ordered from Casey J's Tavern have not been good at all. I ordered the burnt ends, and every single one of them was fat loaded and disgusting, not one good piece of meat in the entire dish. I don't what the person who prepared it was thinking, no one wants to eat pure fat. Very disappointing, don't waste your time. read more

Pulled chicken was dry and cold. The sides were ok but limited selection. Not as good as it use to be will not go back again.

Walked in and stood in front of the three women at the hostess desk for a solid 90 seconds before I interrupted thier conversation and asked if I was in the right place to get seated. One looked up, looked around and instructed us to find a seat. :(. After walking by an overflowing trash bin at the bar we sat in a booth and waited... and waited... and waited as servers went by but none acknowledged us. Finally we flagged on down and ordered. Food was disappointing at best. Brisket was super fatty and ribs were very dry making me believe they were not made that day. Worst part was the sides with green beans and beans that I suspect are right out of a can. The whole thing was overpriced and a big let down coming from this restaurant group, and the legacy of ABBQ. Second try at Casey's since they took the reins from ABBQ. First visit was a bust, so tried a second time. I order the pulled pork BBQ and it was lukewarm and dry. It obviously wasn't made today. I think it might have been microwaved. No choices given for BBQ sauce, they just put on whatever they choose and it was very sweet. Not my taste at all. Green beans as a side was tasteless, but at least hot. The fries were great. It is obvious that they no longer specialize in BBQ, I recommend not ordering it. My guest had a $20 hamburger ordered medium. It came out charred meat making it dried out and difficult to eat. This place is off my rotation. read more

Ambiance and service were fine. The food on the other hand was horrible. Ribs had barely any meat on it, very low quality meat. The bbq was this sickly sweet bbq sauce that made it impossible to eat.
