The most incredibly cooked cod, mouth-watering tender superbly delicious.

The food was awesome my card was cooked perfectly along with their steak which was ordered medium rare but closer to medium and fries. Possibly the best clam chowder I've ever had in their garlic bread is to die for... Service was wonderful and are server checked back often. Sadly no room for dessert although I really wanted to try their apple cobbler.

Grove at Briar Barn Inn was a great destination for my mother's birthday celebration! The setting is warm and inviting, with rustic elegance that feels both sophisticated and cozy. I forget our waitress's name, but the entire service staff was genuine and attentive. On the food, the mussels were the star of the night, with a tarragon and white wine broth that was completely polished off. Personally, I found the majority of the dishes were ~almost~ great. The steak frites were cooked to perfection, but didn't have the punch of flavor I was looking for. The pork chop, on the other hand, had a nice spicy maple honey glaze, but was just overcooked and a bit dry. All the deserts were a great cap-off to the meal, not too sweet but a nice diverse set of flavors. Overall, the food was excellent, but there were a few minor flaws that I thought could have been ironed out for a truly special meal. Dinner 1. Tomato Relish Burata - 5/5 2. Mussels - 5/5 3. Delacata Squash Salad - 3/5 4. Steak Frites - 4/5 5. Pork Chop - 4/5 6. Fish & Chips - 5/5 Dessert 1. Flourless Chocolate Cake - 4/5 2. Apple Crisp - 4/5

We made a reservation on a Thursday night for dinner. We were seated immediately inside and given waters and menus. Atmosphere is Rustic barn with cozy vibe. We were the 4th table in the annex room and our waitress was busy. Took about 10 minutes-before she came by for drink orders but you could see she was busy so no issue. Started with the clam chowder and calamari appetizer. Chowder was served hot which is a major bonus for me. Was creamy and delicious with hints of bacon and plenty of clams. Calamari was some of the best i have had. Love that it was served with fried veggies like zucchini and tomato as well because I'm never a fan of the traditional cherry peppers. I got the pasta primavera. The pasta was cooked perfectly. Veggies were tender and flavored nicely. Mushroom rigatoni was fabulous. Great mushroom flavor. Dessert was lemon ricotta cake with blueberries. Cake was moist and dense like a pound cake. Lemon flavor was perfect with blueberries and vanilla ice cream. Perfect ending! Service was excellent. Drinks well made. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area

Wonderful setting, our waitress was great, so upbeat and helpful with our menu items questions. We started with a perfectly cooked calamari, then a nice beet salad with grilled chicken and a Fish and Chips made with Haddock. Great dinners and nice atmosphere in the open barn.

Christmas Eve brunch was perfect here!! From the outside to right when you walked through the doors. brunch, a date night out or maybe even a wedding venue. The decor was so beautiful, the string lights I couldn't stop staring at. Server was very very nice and welcoming! Would definitely recommend trying this local spot Did someone say coffee flights?!? Yep run!

Grove has a special place in my heart, and has become a go-to special occasion meal for our family. We ran into Grove while searching for a wedding venue (if you are an engaged couple, you WILL want to check this one out!), and have revisited many times since our initial tour. While their food is some of the best in the area, what gets me every time is how incredible their service is. Their staff is some of the best - always attentive, friendly, and really make sure that you feel special. I am always impressed with how unique their menu is and how many vegetarian options they also offer. Great wine and cocktails, too! If you are able to, make a weekend of it - eat at Grove, stay at the Briar Barn Inn, and head to the Spa at Rowley in the morning. You won't regret it!

The menu is huge so you have to try things and find what you like. Some things, like in every restaurant, can be skipped. In my review, I'd like to highlight the turkey dinner. It's one of the best. Traditional, bountiful, and delicious. You won't regret it. I've tried many others in the area and they don't deliver. The place is historic, simple, and busting. The background music is right up my 60 year old alley... I love it. Cathy and Ed just can't be beat. They make everybody feel cared for and important, something hard to find these days. There are people who've been coming to this place their whole lives. It's crazy and I love it. So... Don't grouse, try something different and fall in love with the VPH. You'll be back!

The quick start comes with two eggs, potatoes, choice of bacon or sausage, fruit or warm apples, and toast. It was very filling. I wasn't a big fan of the fruit, it had a weird aftertaste for me. Everything else was good. Tip: they are cash only, so remember to have cash on hand if you're planning to stop by.

The corned beef is large chunks, not small diced pieces found in most commercial and canned hash. The potatoes, peppers, and onions gave a nice texture and flavor. I had it topped with two over medium eggs which were perfectly cooked. As I was eyeing the French toast, he gave me a single piece which included their fruit infused whipped cream and was really, really good! That might be my entree next time. My friend got the crepes and her face was doing happy expressions while she was eating. My new best friend Maria kept my coffee mug full-she visited the table frequently to make sure my mug never got low nor cold. She also took care to clean the table promptly as plates were finished. Now if my kids could learn that... oh wait, this is a diner review. The ambiance is cute and chic. There was easy access to accommodate wheel chairs and they have their menu clearly marked for gluten free available and vegan options (most of the menu). The menu is on the fancier side; they will prepare whatever someone wants (e.g. if someone just wants 2 eggs and bacon, they can easily do that). The location is on Main St. so parking is hit or miss. If you are nearby and want something good, this is a good option!

It's colorful, it's groovy, it's bright, it's nostalgic. Even the employees are wearing shirts with funky themes and patterns. There are TVs showing shows from back then. The floors are checkered, the ceiling is silver, the chairs are red and the tables are blue. We were seated at a booth, which can more than comfortably sit 4-6 people. The menu is HUGE, think cheesecake factory but for a diner. There's a little bit of everything but the font and everything around it makes it hard to focus on what each item is. I went very simple and chose the Simon and Garfunkel which included two pancakes or French toast, two eggs, two bacon, two sausage, toast, and home fries for $18.99. After about 15 minutes, our food came out. The bacon could have been crispier, with some parts being wobbly. The sausage was thick, juicy, and savory. The potatoes were a little bland and mushy on the outside. The eggs were cooked medium, just how I requested them, and the englush muffin was a little different than your traditional ones since it didn't have the little pockets of air but it was still good. The French toast was moist, but I wish it had more cinnamon - the egg was the dominant flavor. Overall, it was a very satisfying breakfast. There is plenty of parking as it's in a plaza
