We found this little get a way resort an hour from where we live and it was such a breath of fresh air.Check in was super smooth.Great customer service was wonderful. We had two rooms and they was able to put next to each other and close to an exit door which was a plus. The rooms where very clean and organized.House keeping very punctual and friendly. The key cards where really unique and made out of hard wood which was pretty cool. They had a pool that had cabanas and tv's and fans inside.I wouldn't eat at the restaurant again it's super expensive even with the $20 discount. The best part was the bus shuttle to their private beach. Its like maybe 8 minutes away.they come every hour to drop off and pick up.The resort gave us beach towels and lawn chairs just in case the umbrella and chairs where full and water.Such and amazing experience ..I will definitely be back for family fun.

Crushed candy on the floor upon entry- this was the second room, the first one room was worse

The food is great the hotel itself, just keep driving. I'll let the photos speak for themselves, and after bringing attention to the staff, the response was sadly something of a non-empowered staff that doesn't know when to do the right thing. Come for the food, but do not stay in the room.

If you're looking to stay here - RUN far far away. When I say I wish I could go back in time and never step foot in this place, I mean it with my whole heart. I booked a room at Casey Key on March 31st, when I paid the initial $192.96 for the "garden view" room. Not only was there mold in the room and on the remote control papers, but there was also stains covering the chair in my room - which look pretty horrid to me. Clearly human fluids here. To add to it, the toilet seat was broken and covered in feces. After complaining to the manager on site, he agreed to refund half the price of the room to my account. A week later, I am charged two ADDITIONAL fees for $96.48 and $153.52. When I called customer service, I was told that the manager added the fees but given no explanation. When I called back the second time to speak with accounting, I was told the manager had added a smoking fee to the room - which makes no sense as we do not smoke, and this was not discussed when he refunded me for the disgusting room. What they were smelling was probably the MOLD, because at this point I know I am being repeatedly charged by the manager out of spite.

    Ceremony overlooking the beach.

Had our wedding reception here and ceremony at the beach resort. Everything was AMAZING. Jackie (the resorts event coordinator) made sure all of our requests and then even more were satisfied. We also had a lovely stay at the beach resort. Absolutely would recommend

My husband booked our two nights here for our 1st visit to the area. We came to canoe the Peace River and shark tooth hunt on Manasota Beach...lol! Our room was very nice, newly updated (I suspect) and decorated! I love the shower where there was glass across about 3/4 of the opening and then no shower curtain-I may do this at my own home. The outside had a lovely pool, lots of lounge chairs, music hut, small tiki bar for drinks and food. I'm sorry the weather wasn't nice enough to go out and sun! The area appears to have a lot of retired people and all the shopping one can ever want!

BEWARE! BED BUGS! My friend and I spent one night at this resort in November 2023. We traveled to the resort from different cities and in different vehicles, and met there. We checked in, had dinner at the resort, spent the night and checked out the next day. We traveled separately, in our own vehicles, back to our own cities/homes. Exactly three days later, we were both covered in bed bug bites. Bed bug bites take 1 to 14 days to appear. I myself had more than twenty different areas of multiple bites, which matched exactly the pattern that bed bugs leave on your skin. I had over 100 bites in total. I contacted the resort as soon as I realized what the bites were and that they had occurred in their hotel room. The resort manager, and myself had multiple correspondences. Sixteen days after returning home, and after 16 days of horrible discomfort from being absolutely covered in bed bug bites, I found a live bed bug in my home, that I brought from my stay at Casey Key Resorts Mainland. The resort sent their pest control company to my home, confirmed that the bug that I found was a live bed bug (which obviously came from my stay at their resort) and they agreed to pay to have my home treated, due to their negligence in keeping their resort free of bed bugs. Two days later, I was informed by Mo (a guest services manager) that the CEO, Shawn Kaleta, had changed his mind and decided not to pay for the treatment my home needed, due to my stay at his resort. Even the resorts own pest control company was disgusted when Shawn Kaleta reversed his decision to pay for the treatment that my home now needed, after he had originally told one of his managers to "take care of it and get it done". I was also informed by Mo, that they didn't have their pest control company come out to do an official inspection of their hotel until 11/27 & 11/28, which was 10 days after I made them aware of their bed bug infestation. On a side note, our hotel room had an extreme odor of mold and/or mildew. The resort manager, Chris Charles, did end up refunding us for our stay, without us even asking for a refund. The refund we were given, without asking for it, is obvious proof that they know of their severe problems with bed bugs and mold/mildew. I have since paid out $700 in bed bug treatment at my home, and still need to pay for additional follow-up treatments because of this resorts negligence, and them failing to provide their customers with safe and clean rooms. The pest control company that I hired stated to me that with the amount of bites that I had, the resort most certainly knows that they have a severe bed bug infestation. Research bed bugs - like I've had to do since this disgusting situation occurred - and you will never risk this happening to you and your loved ones. This has been an absolute nightmare for me, and I've written this review because I don't want to see this happen to other families.

We are in our 50's and 60's and are so tired of staying at these big resorts full of people with…read moreresort/parking fees. Some how looking on a digital map we found The Beach Retreat. Natalie, JJ and crew are so accomodating to get the room you need and even if you need to adjust your reservation. We originally were staying on the beach side, but with our arrival date changing they put us on the canal/bay side. Once arriving and getting in our room we were glad we were in this room. Just steps from our room was the pool. Ten steps from our sliding door was the water's edge and the boat docks where you can fish. Our favorite thing to do in the morning and evening is to drink coffee/cold beverage while we people watch on various water devices. Bonus is watching the kiddos jump from the bridge without the sherrif deputies cartching them, LOL! The beach front is just across the street where the office is. Every morning, your will find staff working to make sure the grounds are clean and ready for another day. From the outside, you can tell that resort was built back in the 60's, but is updated. This room has a queen bed which was fine, spacious shower and the kitchen/ living space was all in one place. Small, but perfect for the 2 of us. If you want a unit more updated and spacious, stay on the beach side. However, we love being able to step outside our door and be entertained by the view. The only negatives, our toilet was a very low old style toilet and the grill was in bad shape. Upon our departure, we ran into one of the owners and it sounded like they were going to be updating those. We stayed here in April 2026 and have reservations to stay again in October 2026. If our experience matches or succeedes our April visit, this will probably become our go to retreat to get away from Missouri's chilly temps. Note: If you are looking something big with an upbeat feeling with all the bells and whistles, then this is not for you. If looking for something right on the beach, low key, no hidden fees and great customer service? This may be your new hidden gem.

We stayed here for 3 days celebrating our 21st anniversary & I so wanted to give this location a 5…read morestar but I couldn't on the same hand go below 4 either. I travel for work and stay in hotels all across the country so I know a few things about customer service. First off it's a no frills type of place so don't expect greatness but it also isn't the slums. We stayed in unit 21 facing the courtyard. The queen room was extremely compact and I'm guessing 250 sf tops. It did have a small kitchen with one of the smallest sinks I ever washed dishes in but it worked. They do supply just about everything u need to cook a small dinner or breakfast if u choose to do while your staying. The fridge was nice and worked ( made strange noises both nights ) & the shower was decent ( not the greatest pressure but it was hot ) we found a local grocery store and picked up items for breakfast. Both morning we made bacon and eggs and chilled outside Parking seemed small but we always had a place to park when we made it back from being out. Here's the pros & cons imo Cons ----- tiny Ants in the kitchen were annoying, zero breakfast options , small rooms , no DVD players in the room, all types of odd noises throughout the day and night. We kept hearing noises coming from the drains ( gurgling ) shower pressure was very low but got the job done. Pro's ---- Walking distance to the beach ( less than 200 ft , room AC will freeze u out , the queen bed was decent , they have outdoor grills ( 2 ) 3 sets of tables to sit and chill for morning coffee or dinner. Very quiet atmosphere especially since there's a huge Public parking area right next door. The girls in the office were pretty friendly. Maintence guy was super nice and took care of a few issues we had very quickly. Overall it's a really good place to stay. It's an older place for sure but it has a certain charm that pulls u in. Would I stay here again ahh I don't know. I think foe the money u pay it's a good place but I'm pretty sure if u wanted greatness it's also here in Venice as well. I really wished there was an in room DVD player because we brought out wedding video from 21 years ago to sit and watch There's a place called Pop's sunset grill that we had dinner @ that was awesome. The Mahi and grilled salmon was outstanding. Don't forget the rum runners
