I got the Big Ol' Burger and it was so good. Cooked perfectly, the special sauce was delicious and as you can probably tell from the photo, the fries were exactly what I was looking for. Everything tastes really fresh here. It has that farm-to-table quality, but in a relaxed, laid-back (but still really pretty) setting. We came for lunch and I loved that they had brunch options too. We didn't get any adult beverages but I was very tempted by the entire drink menu, so next time! Our service was also outstanding. Really everything was A+. Definitely a local spot that I need to remember to go to more often.

She showed me to my table, brought a carafe of water, and welcomed me in. I was quickly welcomed by Sergio, my server, who shared the special and the soup of the day. Once I ordered my soda I took in the ambiance of the bar, new lights, and the rest of the restaurant. It's not a large building but they make every inch count. Now, the reason you're reading this review- THE FOOD. I ordered the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich with a Caesar Salad. The chicken (photo below) was perfectly cooked, topped with hot honey, slaw, pickles, and ranch then placed on a soft brioche bun. The meal was reasonably priced as well at $33 which included tip. I will absolutely be back to the Shanty next time I'm in town.

We made a trip here specifically to have some of Sami's cooking but sadly he is not there on Mondays so the hot food counter is not available. I've had the pleasure of having chef Sami and his family cook for a large group at my church and it was banging. Super delicious. There's no menu posted but there may be some random Middle Eastern dishes posted but I couldn't decipher it. Up front they even have kid sized shopping carts and it has a little flag on it that says "customer in training" or something like that. They super cute. I will definitely be back. A fantastic place for terrific food and casual lunching…read more My colleague and I were here last week and we chose it because of all the great reviews. What they offer is a big variety of deli sandwiches and menu items that are all fresh and delicious. This is a great getaway from the "Sysco" type food" you get at the fast food and fast, casual restaurants. This is a family owned place that takes pride in making you happy. By coincidence both of us selected the "godfather" sandwich. They give you a choice of either soft roll or hard roll. We both went with a hard roll. On this sandwich you get. grilled chicken, prosciutto, melted, sharp, provolone cheese, red peppers, and balsamic vinaigrette. Just writing this review makes me wanna go right now and get another one. Topped off lunch with an orange soda. The owner is a third generation family member. He cares very deeply about the quality of food and it's freshness. We will definitely be back.

Let me just say... what a great choice! I was also told that their bread comes from LaSalle Bakery, which immediately had me excited because I LOVE LaSalle Bakery. And the bread definitely did not disappoint. It was fresh, delicious, and made the entire sandwich even better. This is NOT your average deli. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and you could tell there was a lot of care put into the sandwich. I normally have a pretty good stopping point and would probably only eat half of a sandwich like this, but it was so good that I literally couldn't stop myself. I ate the entire thing! I am officially stuffed now, lol, but it was 100% worth it. The Atomic was absolutely delicious, the bread was amazing, and the whole experience exceeded my expectations for my first visit. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu. Five stars all the way!

The art on the walls are also a great touch as well as the sitting area with backgammon available to play. I also love the food and drinks they have in the grocery section. I do wish they had more selections to choose from though. In terms of more options of Russian/Armenian food like deli meat, dairy products, smoked fish, fruits/veggies, candy, cookies, juice... The prices here are steep, it's a big reason as to why I don't shop here often. It's a shame because I would love to support an Armenian business.
