We've been coming here a lot lately this was probably our 7th visit in the last 4 months and we just keep loving it more every time. The food is seriously so good, always fresh and full of flavor. You can really tell they put their heart into it. The vibe is super chill and cozy, and it's nice to see how they keep making little improvements to the place. I'm not into big chains at all, I'd much rather support local spots like this. Places where people actually care about what they're serving and it shows here. The team might be a bit shy, but they're really kind and you can tell they're passionate. Portions are BIG, so come hungry. And yeah, sometimes you might wait a bit, but that's because everything's made fresh and honestly, it's totally worth it. I keep coming back again and again, and I will continue to. Skip the fancy overpriced spots and just come here for real, honest, delicious food.

Absolutely amazing food! This is the best Mediterranean food I've had in a long time. The service is fast and patient, treat you like family. The restaurant has ample indoor seating, with great spacing. Will absolutely come back again!

Pita!

My dinner here was pretty amazing. I am not usually on this side of town , but found myself nearby on Valentine's Day. For dinner , my wife and I chose to share an entree after we saw how much food was included on each plate -while spying on the table next to us. We started with a charcuterie board of pita bread and hummus. The pita bread was warm and fluffy, and the hummus was smooth and creamy. This was a good starter to get things going in the right direction. For our entree, we chose the chicken and beef kabab plate that came with a ton of fluffy basmati rice and a garden salad. Oh, and don't sleep on the roasted tomato- that thing went well with the meal. I liked that the chicken and beef were tender and full of flavor. The service was excellent and the entire staff was friendly and inviting. If I ever am back in the area, I will gladly stop in again!

is one of the best Persian restaurants in the Bay Area. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and authentic, with perfectly cooked kabobs, excellent saffron rice, and generous portions. The service is friendly, attentive, and welcoming, creating a warm dining experience. A fantastic choice for both Persian food lovers and first-time visitors. Highly recommend the kabobs, appetizers, and saffron ice cream. We'll definitely be back!

Great food and service by Romina. We loved the chicken kabob, it is our favorite. Large juice portion with rice and salad. Delicious.

Okay so this place was definitely amazing surprise. Went here on November 11th during lunch time around 12:30 p.m. with a friend. Coming into the space we were greeted with a big smile from the hostess and some very nice background music that was coming from the bar area. As we sat down we were handed menus and our server came to greet us and asked us if we had any questions and if this was our first time at the restaurant. We definitely said yes and he gave different recommendations based on what were the most popular dishes. As we were catching up we totally lost track of time and the waiter came back to us a few minutes later and asked if we were ready to order, we were not. And we really appreciate it that he said it with a smile and was like no worries I'll come back take your time. So when we finally decided to order we got the sampler of the hummus, my friend got the mixed meat kabobs plate, and I got the special which was the lamb shank. Let's start off with the hummus the three trios that we got the original was definitely our favorite followed by the mint and then lastly the one that was a little bit more sweet can't remember the name of that one but again the traditional hummus so so so good. The plates themselves were breathtaking as you can see in the pictures that I tagged along with this review. They were huge ample serving of rice protein and even the veggie on the side. Of course neither of us could finish the meal because of the amount of food that was on there and we were not sad about that because we knew you would have a delicious meal to have later on or as a snack LOL. Overall definitely enjoyed our experience, the food, and the soft ambiance in the restaurant. I do plan to go back when I'm in the San Jose Santa Clara area because I definitely want to take other friends here.

My wife had a double date with another couple at Caspian. We were craving kabab, and this place is now our #1 spot. The food is amazing, and we love their kabob. Their portions were very generous to the point of needing to pack our leftovers. Staff members were very friendly and helpful. I do like the ambiance, but it was hard to read the menu since it was a bit too dim (I'm getting old).

Shallot Yogurt(Mast-O-Moosir)

My Fiance and I come here every now and then when we are craving Persian food. My Fiance is from Iran and his favorite dip is the mast o moosier it tastes very fresh and their pita is very soft. I like to order the Gheymeh and we share the chicken kabob. Both the steak kabob and chicken are very flavorful and tender, very well cooked and their rice is very buttery soft and fluffy. I would rate 5 stars but sometimes the lady that works on weekends can be a bit rude. We had an unpleasant experience one weekend when we asked to be seated in a bigger table because the tables for 2 are just way too small. She let us sit there but then some other guys came in and needed the bigger table...I assumed she didn't know we spoke Farsi and they started to say rude things but once she found out we could understand she seemed a bit embarrassed. I feel like when you work in these types of jobs you shouldn't be rude and talk about your customers because you never know if they will understand you or not. It's simply unprofessional. Either way it's not a huge deal we just go when she isn't there.

Koobideh (beef kobab) and chicken thigh Combo

Stopped by Caspian for dinner and had a great time. I tried the koobideh and chicken thigh combo, Delicious! The meats were was perfectly cooked and really flavorful. The atmosphere is lovely, and the staff were both friendly and quick with the service. It's a great little restaurant that doesn't try too hard, and the food speaks for itself. I'll definitely be back.

I came here for a work lunch and surprised how it was empty because the food is amazing! Great portions on the protein, flavorful rice and salad. I even have leftovers for a second serving! Highly recommend if you're looking for a well balanced meal!

I stopped by on a Sunday for lunch. The place was not full. Beef kabob was my entree. That came in good quantity. Beef was flavorful. Mediterranian sampler also came in excellent quantity. Everything was really flavorful.

Kashke Bademjan

I've been coming here for a while, and every visit is consistently excellent. The place is clean, spacious, and welcoming, with a fantastic staff that's always friendly and attentive! They give great recommendations too! This time, we started with kashke bademjan that was recommended by our lovely server and it was absolutely delicious! Wowwww. The puréed eggplant combined with the caramelized onion was light, flavorful, and perfectly complement it by warm pita bread. Honestly, I think it's even better than baba ghanoush! For my entree, I went to the filet mignon with beef kabob again and it tasted the same as the first time I had it. The meat was incredibly juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor! I also appreciate the generous portion. It was served beautifully on a large plate! You will have enough food so don't worry if you don't feel like you didn't eat enough. I had to take mine to go. Yeah I'm gonna start the other one. I just have one more and I'll be done. If you haven't tried this placed yet, you definitely need to!

Wow I can't believe I've never been here. This is probably the best Mediterranean place I've been to. The meat quality and taste is insanely good. The portions are huge and one plate can definitely be shared for two. I got the mix kebab which comes with ground chicken/ground beef with rice and salad. We also ordered the Kashke bademjan which is a like an eggplant dip with caramelized onions and it was delicious. The restaurant itself is very beautiful and nice. The service also very warm and friendly. I will 100 percent be back again and will be recommending this place to more people.

By the time we realized it, the party had already started, so returning to the restaurant wasn't an option. The next day, I spoke with the owner/manager, Jonathan. He apologized, acknowledged the mistake, and assured me he would provide a credit for the missing items. Unfortunately, after that conversation, he stopped responding and never followed through. Mistakes happen, especially during busy weekends. What matters is how a business responds. The missing food was frustrating, but the broken promise and lack of follow-up were far more disappointing. This restaurant has been a family staple for years, but after this experience, we've decided to take it out of our family's regular rotation. It's unfortunate to lose a longtime customer over something that could have been resolved with a simple follow-through.

The rice was seasoned well, meat was cooked to a perfect medium and wasn't overcooked, chicken wasn't dry, shrimp was great too, and the bread was nice and soft. As for the appetizer, I'm not sure what everything was, but everything on that plate was so good. I'm not a fan of lamb, but the items on the chef's platter were good and didn't have that lamb aroma and taste--I wouldn't even think it was lamb lol. None of us had ever eaten here before. We made reservations and got there at 5 pm, such beautiful decor. It almost felt like we were being transported and not in Los Altos anymore. They have indoor and outdoor seating options. Our table was the first one from the entrance, which was great because we had the chance to partake in some "people watching" and seeing some adorable doggies on their walk from the window. As we were eating, more and more people started showing up. Our service did not decline and we were treated wonderfully. We all shared a couple of appetizers: Saganaki, Barbayani Thalasa Tiganites, Octopodi, Horiatiki Salad and Greek Fries. Drinks ordered were a mocktail and Bee's Knee. For dessert, we got the Lemoni Crème Brûlée. Everything was delicious, but the Lemoni Crème Brûlée, OMG!!! The best! It was tangy and sweet, the perfect combo. We each had a lemon half...if only these yellow lemons were the size of a grapefruit! Ahahaha. I was trying to savor every last bit of the filling. Plus, the plating looked superb. This is a nice restaurant where you can eat indoors or outdoors. Our waiter Allen was very helpful…read moreand friendly, and gave us some really good suggestions. From those recommendations we ended up ordering, the Barbayani Pikilia, Octapodi, Moussaka, Lavraki, Paidakia, the Galaktoboureko, and the Whisper cocktail. We got the Barbayani Pikilia as a tasting platter, which had their House-Made Pita Bread along with a Pomegranate Dip, Tiroakafteri (a dip of Feta, Garlic, and Red Bellpepper), Tzatziki (a dip of Greek Yogurt, Cucumber, and Dill), Melitzanosalata (a dip of Roasted Eggplant and Herbs). All of it wasn't bad, but our favorite was the Melitzanosalata and Tzatziki for their fresher taste. The other dips, especially the Tirokafteri was our least favorite since it was so heavy with all the Feta in it. The Octopodi had one Charbroiled Octopus Tentacle with Red Wine Vinaigrette, Oregano, and the House Pesto Sauce. The Octopus was cooked perfectly tender, and had a fresh taste with the sauces. The Moussaka was a casserole with Roasted Potatoes, Grilled Eggplant, Lamb Ragout, and Bechamel Sauce. This whole dish blended together nicely, especially with the Bechamel Sauce. The Lavraki was a whole Mediterranean Seabass, which was cooked perfectly and was nice and flakey. The Potatoes and Braised Greens were also cooked nicely and had great flavor. The Paidakia was Lamb Chops with Potatoes and Greens, which also had good flavor and was cooked perfectly. The Galaktoboureko was a nice finish for dessert, being mild in sweetness, and having nice textures combining the Semolina Custard with Phyllo Dough. The Whisper cocktail had Thyme Gin, Elderflower, Ginger, and Chamomile, which really blended well together. Thankfully it wasn't too sweet and had the right amount of alcohol. However, the later service we received or should I say, didn't receive put a damper on our evening. After our original waiter left, another waiter took over who completely ignored us and never came to check on us. Also, when we had our meals boxed up, the waiter that boxed them threw out some of the dishes, which we later realized when we got home. Overall, everything was cooked perfectly and well made, however some of the customer service needs some work.
