I had a hamburger; and that is where Chef Jacob and Chef Ben left the ordinary: custom beef grown on by the facility add a touch of Bleu cheese and a blending of organic vegies served with a mixed green salad, . This is one you have to try before you judge the ingredients....ketchupers would probably miss out here. The burger was about $20 and we got a bottle of Cab for $40. Well it's official, we became winos! So, since we became winos today, we also needed to have lunch at 20% off. My husband and I had the Benny Burger, with a side salad. And we also had their mouvedre wine, which was a Cabernet blend. The burger with side salad was excellent. It's a lovely winery with an outdoor patio and a really fun tasting bar. It was super, the tasting was incorporated into our lunch making it super easy to stay on schedule and enjoy the beautiful venue. Horrible service! I went in for lunch with a group of 6 girls.......1st off the waitress walked off without taking all our orders. I had to chase her down to get her to take all our orders. She then messed up our orders and didn't put in my sisters order. We brought it up to another employee, Ashley, and she made sure to put my sisters order in and said she would not charge her due to the inconvenience. I guess Ashley brought it up to our waitress and instead of the waitress (who's name I can't remember) apologizing to us, she comes up to the table, shrugs her shoulders & says "we all make mistakes". After messing up our orders and not once checking up on our table, that was the best she could say? But I did notice that she was very attentive to the other parties sitting around us.......maybe it was due to the fact that my party was ethnicity diverse and the other parties were Caucasian. I will say that Ashley did great job of fixing our waitresses mistake. She apologized and was so friendly. read more

We came through a little late and had the closing time wrong on an old pamphlet so we walked in just after they were technically closed, but the staff was warm and inviting and we felt no rush at all. They even showed us around the property a bit. There are a lot of old beautiful oaks in Paso Robles, but this property really uses them to create the ambiance. A beautiful and serene setting that offers both food and wine on the east side of Paso Robles! Going to this winery should include an intent to eat. The wine tasting fee is $10 per person which is waved with a food purchase. The prices of the food are not cheap but we were very happy with our pulled pork sandwiches and delicious side salads with blood orange pomegranate vinaigrette dressing! You get your wine tastings poured at your table alongside your food in a beautiful patio overlooking oak trees and vineyards. Definitely worth the trip. read more

We fell in love with Cass Winery when we had lunch here after visiting our wedding venue for the first time. The food is absolutely incredible. I would highly recommend the burger or the pulled pork sandwich. I am pretty sure we became wine members on our first visit. We really wanted to do our rehearsal dinner here at Cass but at the end of the day....we realized our rehearsal dinner was going to be anything but intimate, and ending up opting for a welcome party at a brewery for budget's sake. BUT...we did decide to organize a massive wine tasting the day before the wedding and this was our first (and favorite) stop. I worked with management for quite some time and everything was executed flawlessly. We had little sliders, veggies, and cheese platter which ended up being way more food than I anticipated. The wine, we already know is so so so good. Definitely our most expensive stop but 100% worth it. Did I mention we had like 80 people wine tasting? We had everyone set up under the oak tree. People have been asking about Cass ever since! Side note, had we not already considered a venue for the wedding this would have been a top contender. This place used to be our go to spot in Paso for lunch and tastings and have been going here for over 10 years, their staff that once was there like Rachel and Miranda were so wonderful and really took care of us every time we would come in. Last weekend we came in for lunch and tastings. Rebecca was our server and she was absolutely terrible, so rude, and very condescending. She did a horrible job of taking everyone's order and several things came out wrong. We also got our salad way after the rest of our entrees even though we had ask for them before, not a big deal but when we ask her if they were still coming she was so incredibly short. Anytime we would ask for something like napkins or water you could tell by her face how much we "inconvenienced her". When we got our bill she totally ignored that we mentioned to her about our membership and did not include our discount to the bill, we had to go inside to have it fixed. I will not be going back here to sit with this server and would absolutely asked to be put in someone else's section. read more

Went horseback riding (Brian and his wife are great ppl) and received wine tasting vouchers for Cass Winery. Since we were from out of town, we decided to use our vouchers right after our ride. We received a cold reception from the older hostess and stated that she would have to see if there was room for us (party of 8). When we were walked into the tasting room (about 8-10 tables), it was completely empty. Once we completed the tasting, the same lady proceeded to tell her new incoming guests that we were the "horseback riders". Not sure what made her tell the incoming guests anything about us. The young man in the tasting room was nice, but that was about the only memorable thing about Cass (besides the cold shoulder). I think maybe we were too tan and didn't quite fit in. I have never felt more uncomfortable. We sat on the patio, which was nice, a bit dusty from parking lot traffic, but nice anyway. The young man serving us barely gave us the time of day. Zoom over to take the wine and food order, zoom off, zoom back with a taste of wine, zoom off, zoom back with food, zoom off, zoom, zoom.....where was that nice relaxing atmosphere we read about!?!?! As a self-identified control freak, I was less than thrilled when my wedding venue informed me that they only worked with Cass and we would be required to use them for our wedding. However, after working with Cass and Kelley, I can say without a doubt that regardless of the time I would have spent researching catering companies, I wouldn't have found a company nearly as absolutely amazing as Cass. We got married here last Saturday and I wish I could leave 1,000 Stars!!! Michelle alone deserves a million stars!! She was the most amazing wedding coordinator I could ever ask for!! We booked Cass about a year and a half before our wedding day and Michelle was soo helpful from day one. From the day we took our tour actually, which by the way was not planned! Lol We were recommended Cass for lunch by another winery and I told my now husband, "I wonder if they do weddings here?". We asked our server and sure enough, Michelle came out, gave us a tour, sent us home with a quote and some information and checked back in with me a few days later. I knew this was the place I wanted to get married. The ceremony under the oak tree...breathtaking. Pulling up in the cass cab to the ceremony...memorable. My guests were raving how delicious the food was and of course the wine. The venue is so beautiful, there wasnt a need for many decorations. The day went by incredibly smoothly. We werent rushed, we were able to greet all our guests and EAT!! If I could get married every year at Cass, I would! I went here because my friend recommend this winery to me. I have only heard good things, but I was very disappointed when I went! We came on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and they had live music, which was very nice, but the staff working was not nice. They were very talkative with the regulars or family members and were not very helpful to me or my guests. Also they were drinking more of the wine instead of serving it! It was nice that they offer 8 tastings, but with all the eight tastings I do not think I received a complete glass! They were very stingy on pouring which made it very difficult to taste their wine, probably the reason why I did not buy any! Overall the experience was very bad! read more

The first time I stepped foot at Cass I knew it was special. The whole place just makes me happy. We were married at Cass on 10/6/12 under an oak tree in the vineyard and it was simply magical. I cannot speak more highly of the the entire Cass family. We were welcomed with open arms (literally) and given the wedding our our dreams. We just came back from the Cass Winery Cruise. The first of many we hope! We went down to Mexico and enjoyed the superb Cass wines onboard Holland America Line, MS Veendam. We enjoyed Cass wine tastings, a Cass winemakers luncheon and Cass wine with every dinner! Fantastic! And who knew? Bryan Cass is one of the best singers that I have ever heard!
