Another beautiful afternoon of tasting our favorite wines and meeting new people. They offer several selections of red wines plus whites & rose - we love so many of them it's hard to pick which ones to take home. This is a wonderful little winery with wines that pack a punch! We chose the unusual scone and wine pairing and we were not disappointed! The scones were moist, unique, and perfectly paired with the Dresser wines, from crisp chardonnay to bold Syrah. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and cheerful. They obviously love their jobs and the wines they are serving. What a gem!!!!! I was looking for dog friendly wineries and found this found and loved that they are known for their reds! I love reds and their wines did not disappoint. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a beautiful serene winery and the owner was super nice and welcome and my pup had a blast too![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love their back story and how they incorporate their daughter's paintings for their labels but what stands out is the quality of wine!!! We pulled up to the closed gate, rang the call box, and were greeted with a little confusion, but told to come on down and taste! When we got to the tasting room we were greeted by Kory, the owner and winemaker. After inquiring how we heard about them, he let us know that they were pretty much a word of mouth operation, and due to its location on a private road the gate is just about always closed. After taking a seat, Kory pulled out some bottles and started pouring! We tasted through a menu that had been curated for some of the upcoming weekend's visitors. We tasted 5 wines from the bottle, but were also treated to some tastes from different barrels and even a wine that hadn't touched any oak yet. We had a really great time and enjoyed learning about how Dresser wines came to be, and what goes into the different wines that they make. Kory was really cool for letting us in and sharing the space with us. This was truly a one of a kind wine tasting experience! Aside from the wonderful hospitality, the wines were also great! I ended up getting a bottle of the Cab, and my boyfriend got two bottles of different zins and a red blend. Excited to drink them all again and come back sometime in the future. A really awesome, boutique family winery! Dresser is definitely a hidden gem we found through a wine fanatics group in an area of Paso we haven't been to before. Kory was an awesome host for our sips and scone pairing. Four wines (with some extra pours at the end of what was open) with four homemade scones? Can't go wrong with it! What we really love is when they say they're home to bold reds, they are. There wasn't a wine that we didn't enjoy. Love the extra stories that Kory has about his family, his processes, the wine labels and crew. A three year saga of wanting to taste here and finally getting to do so! :) Years ago my husband and I rented a delightful little house in Paso overlooking a vineyard. While sitting outside we decided to figure out what vineyard it was and google mapped our way to Gelfand. I sent them an email but they were out of town, though they were very gracious and invited us back another time. I reached out, years later, to see if we could make something work. While they were traveling for the summer, they went to the trouble of hooking us up with another family in the wine business, who will actually be taking over the operation at Gelfand. So long story short...we got to do a tasting at long last. We were in town with the in laws, dog, and baby but Gelfand was up for hosting the whole crew. They even provided water for the pup. Given the pandemic we were not planning to do any tastings but when they offered us the option of being the only party on the property, hosted outside at a picnic table under a shady tree we were in! Kory was the most gracious host. From entertaining our family, to sharing all the details of the wine and the funny names they've come up with, and letting us revisit and revisit, we had an absolute blast and walked away with way too much wine bounty! He also wore a mask the entire time to keep us safe, which was appreciated. Our personalized tasting sheet included: 2018 Petite Syrah (purchased) 2018 Zin 2018 Petite Cab 2018 SFR (and no, I am not going to tell you what it stands for, you'll have to find out!) There wasn't a single wine we didn't like, many of which we outright loved. A few of the extras included the delicious "Cabyrah," (purchased) the Menage a Bunch, a Syrah (purchased) and the "Zirah." Kory then indulged my love of dessert wines and let us try the 2018 Lily Port and 2018 Sophie Late Harvest. The port was definitely not super syrupy like some, in fact, I almost wanted it sweeter. The Sophie was a bit more my speed (sweeter) but I was concerned it wasn't quite there. Then, Kory brought out an older bottle of Sophie that had been lying down a while and boom! There was the sweetness I was looking for! I'll be keeping that one safe for a couple years to enjoy a truly sweet experience down the line. Highly recommend this family run operation! :) read more

This was by far our favorite winery to visit on our wine country trip. Each of the wines we tried were excellent. We loved the location and beauty of this smaller vineyard. Also, the new owner was the one serving and he cussed up a storm. We are not opposed to cussing but I just don't need to hear all that cussing- doesn't seem professional. OVERALL: We were so excited to go to this winery but after our experience, we would not go back. Love love love!!! This is a must at Pasos Robles. We came for a girls trips to celebrate my mom's 50th birthday and it was the perfect getaway from the LA hustle and bustle. The tasting was nice and intimate and their reds were delicious by far the best I've had. Recommend their 2018 Sirah and 2018 petite Sirah. We had a visit back in September and this was our first time at this winery. Between the warm welcome, beautiful location and delicious wines we enjoyed ourselves immensely. Kory the owner was very easy going and fun to talk to and who better to taste the wine with?! Amazing Experience at Dresser Winery (Formerly Gelfand Vineyards) During these challenging times it is encouraging to know that you can "get away" with friends and family to create lasting memories - and get incredible "experience value" for your money at the same time. Last weekend we had such an experience. My Bride and I visited Paso Robles with friends to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary. Our first stop in our winery tour was Cass Winery. We had heard great things about Cass and had every intention of becoming members but after a disappointing experience, we left and headed down the road to our next scheduled tasting at Dresser Winery. Winery owners Catheryn and Kory met us personally when we arrived and, for the next three hours, entertained our group with vineyard history, their local social responsibility efforts as well as plenty of stories and laughs. The relaxed family environment created by Kory, Catheryn and their Staff, as well as the amazing grounds, made our choice to become a Dresser Wine Club member a no-brainer.
