Lovely afternoon for wine and scones
    Wendy G.

This is a wonderful little winery with wines that pack a punch! We chose the unusual scone and wine pairing and we were not disappointed! The scones were moist, unique, and perfectly paired with the Dresser wines, from crisp chardonnay to bold Syrah. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and cheerful. They obviously love their jobs and the wines they are serving. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tasting area is a lovely patio next to the vineyard with sunny or shady options and a resident cat to add some attitude to the overall experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Tasting is by appointment only, so be sure to give them a call or book online. The scone pairing requires payment at time of booking as the winery needs to order the scones ahead. Thumbs up to Dresser winery! I hope you give it a try.

What a gem!!!!! I was looking for dog friendly wineries and found this found and loved that they are known for their reds! I love reds and their wines did not disappoint. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a beautiful serene winery and the owner was super nice and welcome and my pup had a blast too![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love their back story and how they incorporate their daughter's paintings for their labels but what stands out is the quality of wine!!! If you like reds, especially bold ones, you have to try them! Better yet, make it a stay as they also have a vacation rental!!! I picked up a bottle and will use needing more as my next reason to come back hopefully soon!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful property with excellent wines and great service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Dog friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We did the outdoors standard Under the Oaks tasting, $25 for 5 wines (1 white, 4 red). We got 3 bonus pours as well. The reds are bold flavor. Good size pours. Ended up buying 2 bottles to waive a tasting fee. Wines are not cheap at $50+, but their all very good and high quality. Highly recommend

We purchased a scone and wine tasting, which we had never experienced. It was amazing. Our server was helpful and informative. The owner/winemaker was also great. We enjoyed ourselves so much, that we not only purchased serveral bottles of wine, but we also joined the wine club. Can't wait to return! Thanks Dresser Winery for the great experience.

Amazing! My husband I were looking for an intimate experience at a beautiful winery with good red wine and boy did we score. We bought tickets for a private tasting and loved every minute. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The location is peaceful and the wine is outstanding.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We bought a few bottles and truly enjoyed meeting the owners and staff. We plan to return on our next trip.

This place was so chill, a very quiet intimate location for one on one wine tasting. Deliciously rich bold flavored wines.

Make a reservation! But if you don't, the owner Kory will still be an awesome host and welcome you in with open arms and some great wine! We pulled up to the closed gate, rang the call box, and were greeted with a little confusion, but told to come on down and taste! When we got to the tasting room we were greeted by Kory, the owner and winemaker. After inquiring how we heard about them, he let us know that they were pretty much a word of mouth operation, and due to its location on a private road the gate is just about always closed. After taking a seat, Kory pulled out some bottles and started pouring! We tasted through a menu that had been curated for some of the upcoming weekend's visitors. We tasted 5 wines from the bottle, but were also treated to some tastes from different barrels and even a wine that hadn't touched any oak yet. We had a really great time and enjoyed learning about how Dresser wines came to be, and what goes into the different wines that they make. Kory was really cool for letting us in and sharing the space with us. This was truly a one of a kind wine tasting experience! Aside from the wonderful hospitality, the wines were also great! I ended up getting a bottle of the Cab, and my boyfriend got two bottles of different zins and a red blend. Excited to drink them all again and come back sometime in the future. If you haven't already, take this as your word of mouth recommendation to make a reservation here the next time you find yourself in Paso!

Entrance to Dresser Winery felt very welcoming!

Wine tasting along with scones is a great idea, and my niece, along with her dog, and I thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon at Dresser Winery in Paso Robles. I would highly recommend this experience!!! ...

The history alone is enough to get you through the door, but the wine is what keeps you there. Pair the tasting with all the stories behind the winery, and it's easily one of the more interesting experiences in Paso. The staff is also incredibly friendly and makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The patio is a beautiful spot to taste, and if you're there later in the day, the sunset views are hard to beat. Definitely do the free cave tour while you're there. It's one of the coolest winery tours I've been on. The caves are a massive labyrinth carved into the hillside and naturally stay around 55 degrees year round, which is where they age a lot of their wine before bottling. Even if you've been to a lot of wineries, this is something a little different. At the time I'm writing this, tastings are still complimentary, which is almost unheard of these days. If you go, do them a favor and leave with a bottle or two. That's how places like this are able to keep offering experiences like this, and honestly, you'll probably want to take some wine home anyway.

And after a drive that reminded me of the beginning of "The Shining" with all of the winding roads, I arrived, sat down overlooking the valley, and told my wine guy flat out what I started this review with. He was slightly taken aback and treated me with a "let's change your mind" attitude. As I waited for my first sample, I couldn't help but notice the view. It was the best view of all of the wineries I've visited and based on the other reviews, I'm not wrong. They used their plot of land well to Wow their guests... I sampled quite a few wines and liked a lot of them. The ones here are apparently different than the DAOU that's in most stores and restaurants. That's a shame actually... I was here in the morning so it was freezing cold out. I'd recommend for a morning tasting, bring a jacket or something (I was there in May). But as the morning neared its end, the sun warmed things up. My wine guy brought some crackers also as I was feeling a bit queasy from guzzling wine so early. Nice touch and prevented the hallways from looking like "The Shining" too. I also enjoyed watching and playing with Cheetoh, the cat who hung around the outside. He was pretty chill and friendly. He followed my wine guy around and let me pet him (the cat, not the wine guy). I'm glad I went and was upfront about why I was there. I think he appreciated it too and he did change my mind about DAOU. I get that it's a business so you gotta sell to the masses, but make some of these others available to us common folk. If I'm ever in Paso Robles again, I'm making sure to make a reservation here and get one of those wood fired pizzas! And maybe they'll take my idea and make a Lizzie Bordeaux! I enjoyed learning about the Austin Hope winery and its origins. I felt like they grew in popularity quickly and threw up some barns to accommodate the crowds. For example, the bathroom wasn't well constructed as when people slammed the door shut, the walls shook. I can't imagine how the walls would shake if someone had a blowout here. Even with some of the downfalls, this was my favorite winery and I wish I could get some of the wines without joining the club. The host at the entrance was incredibly dismissive and wouldn't even let us finish our sentence before cutting us off.
