5 Stars! We ordered the food ahead of time and it was ready for us by the time we got there. The interior is small but very well designed for a nice comfortable yet elegant atmosphere with a lot of natural light from the huge windows! There is also nice outside seating if that's more your style as well The waitress was very nice and polite and the food came out relatively fast Now for the food. I ordered the tortellini which came with what they call "rose sauce" which is marinara sauce combined with alfredo (my favorite!!). IT WAS DELICIOUS. Came with 2 slices of house garlic bread. The garlic bread isn't very oily and very light in garlic. They add cheese and bacon on top and melt it all down and it is absolutely scrumptious! That together with the garlic bread is a match made in heaven. The tortellini itself was also delicious My friends got calzones and they were really big and stuffed with filling. Personally did not eat any of the calzone but my friends originally didn't mean to eat all of it but ended up cleaning the whole plate! I'm sure the pizza is great, but coming here after a different disasterous pizza experience earlier in the evening, our night only got worse. First, my girlfriend and I ordered a small pepperoni pizza to go. We sat outside waiting for 40 minutes. The owners sat 5 feet away from us while talking to other employees and never once said a word or checked on us. Finally after asking about our pizza, an employee came outside to tell us our first pizza was burnt and they were making another, "would you like a cup of water?" she added. A cup of water. Not even an apology, and she actually laughed at the fact it was burnt. So we waited another 20 minutes for our pizza, at which point I demanded a refund. We left with our pizza, which was okay, but ruined by the terrible experience. read more

One star due to Manager on duty tonight...simple take out order where they gave me the wrong pizza...manger's best solution was to deliver my actual not so fresh pizza in 30 mins with a 50% discount from original price! Cassano's is one of the few places I know that does a white pizza! We have been trying to support local businesses during the Covid-19 shutdown so we ordered our dinner online (really seamless and easy!). We got a time estimate of 60 minutes but it was here in 45 which was great when you have a hungry teen! We were able to add some sausage and onion to the white pizza which made it even more perfect! The hungry teen ordered a calzone which was huge. As hungry as she was, there was enough for lunch tomorrow. We also shared a caesar salad which has kale in it. It was enough for three of us to share and very fresh. The food came hot and fresh - we all liked this experience a lot! read more

Being a native of the east coast NY/NJ area, I can be very picky when it comes to pizza. Cassano's won me over with their authentic pizza experience. I would have given them five stars but there were slight issues with the dining room area. However, that will not deter me from getting another delicious and nostalgic order of pizza. read more

This is a local favorite and in my regular rotation of pizza places in San Clemente. Thin crust pizza with a very good sauce and plenty of toppings. If you prefer thinner crust pizzas definitely give Cassano's a try. read more

I do wish Cassano's still sold pizza by the slice but it makes sense that they no longer do this since they are not right on the beach like they used to be, so no points taken off for this. I ordered a personal size pizza and it was SO GOOD!!!! I haven't had Cassano's yet at the new location until this weekend. There was VERY LITTLE grease, which on a pepperoni pizza that is very hard to accomplish! Nice and thin, crunchy crust. It was just PERFECT. Based off of previous reviews and spying the pictures of how spacious the restaurant is...we HAD to check it out! The pizza was AWESOME, the beer was tasty, the sandwiches were delicious and the service was great! The photos and artwork on the wall were great!! The kids menu came with whiteboards and whiteboard markers...which prompted the artist of our group to draw each of the three kids that were with us...my stepson, nephew and niece...which is what you see here. My family loves Cassano's! My husband is a self proclaimed pizza connoisseur, and according to him, this is by far the best pizza around. But Cassano's is great at everything! A very good family friendly restaurant. Cassano's is a really good family restaurant with good food and reasonable prices. The Happy Hour food at the bar is really a bargain, the meatballs are terrific. The Wine and Beer prices are very fair, especially compared to some other places in San Clemente.
