This is my first time trying French cuisine so I can't say much about the food but overall it is alright. I do especially like the escargot, and wish we had ordered extra bread to dip into the sauce. The entree tbh fell short. The dessert we had was the chocolate mousse, prob the best thing we ate that evening and of course we totally forgot to take a photo of that. OKAY, the space is limited at the restaurant. So if you're trying to have a romantic calm and relaxing fine dinning experience for 2.. might want to re-consider. The tables are SO close to each other that our waiter can barely get in between. We went for a birthday occasion so we were looking forward to it, but we were sat next to a group of 4 ladies who were chatting so loud that we felt like it was all that we can hear. Our conversations felt like a hassle because we would need to raise our voice to be able to hear each other, not so romantic anymore....

Another phenomenal restaurant from the group running Rocca & Streetlight Taco. We went on. Sunday evening and had a great meal experience. From the friendly greeting upon entering to the professional yet friendly service offered by the service staff. A dark, romantic setting as if you were in a French patisserie for a meal. Our cocktails were delicious, especially my wife's Sidecar. The French Onion soup was so tasty & cheesy. The dinner dishes were perfectly plated and so tasty - Steak Frites & Dover Sole. We were stuffed so we didn't get a chance to try the desserts. Great looking bar and we saw two sisters sitting there chatting up a storm while nursing wines. Nice to have a traditional French restaurant in the area. Can't wait for their Spanish restaurant

Wow!! My boyfriend doesn't even like French food and he was impressed by here. This is a date night must. The inside is dark, yet romantic. It doesn't look like a Parisian bistro on the inside, but that doesn't bother me. As a French food snob, I loved our dishes. The heritage chicken (and its leftovers) have lived in the back of my brain since we went a month ago. The French onion soup is one of the best in Tampa and a must get too. This is a very expensive dinner, but worth the price. We loved it!

Went again for the Valentine's Day prix fixe menu. They had just recently opened up a new expansion and I guess they weren't properly prepared for the extra volume. Food took a bit to come out but the service was excellent and we were promptly attended to. Food was prepared perfectly. No notes!

Had an amazing experience at Bar Terrior, a cozy and stylish French spot that completely delivered on food, drinks, and atmosphere. The cocktails were top-notch, the service was attentive and friendly, and the ambiance? Total vibe. Can't wait to go back and try more from the menu. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. Special shoutout to the Espresso Martini, which was made perfectly, and the escargot, which is a must-try, buttery, garlicky perfection. What I ordered: - FROMAGE & CHARCUTERIE - BAGUETTE: grilled bread, normandy butter - ONION SOUP: emmental, gruyère - ESCARGOT: garlic butter - GNOCCHI a la PARISIENNE: grilled maitake, haricot verts, truffle cream - CASSOULET: duck confit, toulouse sausage, duroc pork shoulder, tarbais beans - CHOCOLATE MOUSSE: hazelnut, px sherry

Amazing new hotspot! They do French food right! Came in on a busy day without reservations but was accommodating by giving a time limit so that the next reservation at the bar was timely. So knowing that, it was fine. Later on they were able to move over to better seating anyways so it all worked out and still got wonderful service without skipping a beat The coconut curry milk punch was balanced perfectly and the clarity of the liquid and ice made it that much more appealing. The beef tartare was so flavorful with the beef chicharron and that yolk was everything, so bright and orange. Some of the best tartar I've had ever! The steak frites was cooked perfectly. The fries came out piping hot and the steak was cooked perfectly, it was so tender. They gave complimentary lavender meringue at the end out of a cigar box and it was a very nice gesture. I did see people surrounding me finishing all their dishes clean and getting desserts so I know others enjoyed it as well This is one spot not to miss, the place is quite intimate and on a smaller scale. I would say reservations are highly recommended for this busy spot but they are very accommodating without. I definitely appreciated them working with me to be able to try them out and for them to not lose business. I want to come back again and again. Even their bathroom was fun with a different ambience, separate music and disco ball

We stumbled here on Easter Sunday cause a bunch of other restaurants were closed. What a pleasant surprise. The food and service were excellent. Hannah really took care of us. Can't recommend it enough.

Everything was a WOW! The food was outstanding and the service to match. So many WOWS. I couldn't stop saying that. (only questionable wow was how loud it was on a busy night) We started with heirloom tomatoes which were amazing. Then the mussels that we unbelievably by far the most delicious plum mussels. The our sever suggested the chicken which was also amazing! . The flavors of each dish was so well prepared with multitudes of complex use of herbs. Well done chef!

Bar Terroir was the perfect choice for our recent date night. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt chic and intimate with dim lighting, cozy tables, and the ideal spot for conversation. Our server was warm, knowledgeable, and made the experience feel effortless. She guided us through their impressive wine list, helping us select a French red that paired beautifully with our meal, earthy, elegant, and just bold enough to stand up to the rich flavors of our entrees. We Ordered the Beef Tartare which was delicious served with unique beef chips. Market Salad Crisp, fresh, and thoughtfully dressed more than just a filler, this salad had intention. Beef Cheek (Bourguignon-style) was Fall-apart tender and full of deep, soulful flavor. The red wine reduction was amazing. We chose a Burgundy that was smooth with earthy notes, recommended by our server and it couldn't have been a better pairing. Bar Terroir absolutely delivered on ambiance, flavor, and hospitality. It's not cheap, but every detail from the curated wine list to the execution of each dish justifies the price. If you're looking to impress or just reconnect over amazing food, this is your spot.

Bar Terroir was incredible! Food, service, and ambiance was a 10/10. Our server Jeff was amazing and added to the experience. We loved the cocktails, so creative and unlike anything we had before. Also we both said that was the best steak frites we've ever had! We will be back!!

My wife and I went out on one of our weekly dinner dates with some great friends and elected to try Bar Terroir out. I am not a huge fan of French food and when I spend time in France, I equally enjoy the ambience and vibe as much as the food itself. I was surprised, though that I really did enjoy the food and one of the side dishes. The mashed potatoes were probably the best mashed potatoes ever had in my life. The chocolate mousse I had for dessert was also definitely to die for. The ambience was nice enough, but the acoustics were not fantastic for having a conversation of any great depth at the table. The service was exceptional. I definitely recommend this restaurant for lovers of French food And foodies in general.

Loved being able to snag a bar reservation. The place was packed on a Friday night but the service was still super attentive and friendly. The sommelier gave a great rundown of the wines, and both the steak frites and oysters hit the spot. The disco lights in the bathroom were a surprise but honestly kind of a highlight. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu.

Wow, what a fantastic addition to the Tampa food scene! Bar Terroir might not be the biggest restaurant around in terms of space. But they sure pack a lot of personality and flavor into a small space. My server was excellent. He constantly made sure glasses were filled and made some great recommendations. The food itself is French Bistro food executed at a high level. The tomato salad was fantastic, especially with the vibrant tomatoes. The Steak Frites was cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of heat from the peppercorns. Dessert was delicious as well, especially with the Pain Perdue. That French Toast had such great textural contrast, with the crispy toasty exterior and soft creamy inside. That scoop of ice cream brought it all together. All in all, wonderful time here! Will definitely be back in the future :)

Apparently they gave it to somebody else and had to make me another one. I was also charged for a completely different sandwich. The fries were soggy, and the sandwich was all bread all very, very hard bread. There was minimal inside the sandwich. The sandwich was supposed to be stopped with ham, brie, and apple. It was late on a Tuesday night so the place was pretty quiet. We sat at the bar and had some old fashioneds and shared a few apps. Our bartender was great and the old fashioneds were perfect. For one drink I switched to a pour of my favorite Angels Envy Rye (which they had for a decent price), but switched back to the old fashioned for drink number three. The appetizers were all packing big flavors and often a unique twist. The Korean crab shrimp scallion pancake was light an airy. I didn't notice a ton of seafood flavor, but it was fun to share. Next was the Korean pork belly tacos. It came with two tacos which was perfect and the flavor on these was so good. The pork belly was perfectly tender with no fatty gristle. These are a must have. The star of the show was surprisingly the Mushroom Tartine which we only ordered because the bartender recommended it. The flavor on the mushrooms was amazing and it mixed perfectly with the soft goat cheese and crunch from the sourdough. Never take this off the menu. The special was tilefish, we ordered several kinds of seafood including lobster, crab, and snapper while I had the lamb saddle. Personally speaking the blue crab avocado appetizer was something I had to order because of all the pictures I had seen, and it did not disappoint. The romulade alongside the dish gave it a fresh, elegant bite which was rich but bright. The Colorado lamb saddle had the texture of a well prepared filet mignon perfectly baked inside of a puff pastry. I was calling it a lamb wellington for fun, but that may have been the most I have ever enjoyed a lamb dish. It was hearty, and perfectly balanced between tender meat, crisp crust, and savory sauce. The pineapple dessert was light, refreshing, and felt like a unique cross between a tangy desert and a sweet airy coconut whipped ice cream. I was however very jealous of the others that ordered the rich chocolate soufflé. 10/10. I would say this is a necessary experience for anyone that lives in the area.
