So maybe some more clarity up front outside the sign haha I ordered the Cali burger, my son had a burger, and they had a fajita special that his mom ordered. We also ordered a pretzel. Obviously being a pub they had beers. Non/alcoholic was a limited assorted of coke fair. Only unsweetened tea. No lemonade. Pretzel was soft and delicious. My son's mom loved the fajitas and the beans that came with them. The burgers were also really good. Bread nice and soft. Patties a good thickness. We all enjoyed what we had. No fries though. It is so easy for people to get omelettes wrong and overcook them until they are a rubbery mess. But mine was very soft, decadent, and fluffy with a very beautiful balance of all flavors present in the dish. I also appreciated the salad that came with it because I think starting the day off with some fiber is very healthy for the body. In the past, I've had the steak and eggs and it was one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten. But when I came to visit on this specific day, they were out and happily recommended the omelettes instead. It can get crowded, but I don't agree with the reviews here that say the restaurant gets too loud. Let's be honest. Fredericksburg has a certain type of demographic and at times I feel they are unfairly nitpicky to the local businesses. I thought it would be more of a take out place, but they have full seating and service; there is even a small bar. But you can of course, order to take away. We started off the Nachos as an appetizer. It comes with beef and bean. I'm still getting used to food in Texas; I'm used to refried beans with nachos but they use beans like you would find in a can of pork & beans. I've never had nachos without jalapenos. It is not advertised with jalapenos but I just assumed it would come with them. You can order them as a "add-on" but I've just never heard of or seen nachos without jalapenos. A bit too much of the queso sauce and chips get soggy quite quickly. For the meal, we shared a burger, the Blue Ultra. The beef patty is quite big and I'm guessing about a 1/2 pound patty. It's cooked more to the medium to medium/well done. It also comes topped with onions and bacon. I thought it would also come with lettuce and tomato but that was not in the menu description; we should have asked to have that added. We ordered it with a side of onion rings. Some things about this place; it was quite clean looking but the entire time there, we were swatting flies away. It was difficult to enjoy the meal as flies were landing on our heads, table, the drink glasses and almost on the food. If they don't get the fly issue under control, I would not order to eat in. Most of the food seemed overly salty from the nachos (maybe it was the beef or queso sauce) and the burger was quite salty. The onion rings were quite fresh and if not so greasy, I would say are the best I have had in a long time. The service is nice but it's uncomfortable when the server stands there right over you as you pay the bill and they automatically select 20% as the tip. Whatever happened to the days when the check was left at the table and you could take care of it at your own convenience and weren't being pressured about the tip when someone stands over you. Overall, fair place. But the fly problem, abundance of salt and hovering server when paying is a reason I will likely not return.
