I went there for the first time and I was very happy with the experience. My Honda dealer said I needed shocks and new struts and the price was sky high. They also said that I had a oil leak. I'm mad at them for overcharging me and not getting the problem fixed!! I was charged $66 alone for the labor, and I came asking for my a/c to be repaired nothing else! After they finished with the repair, it seemed to be a little cooler, but I didnt get my hopes up. I tried out the a/c all day (at night too) and it upset me that nothing had changed. So the following Monday I took it to where I was suppose to originally take it and to my surprise their price on the diagnoses, labor, and freon (caps were free) was ALL for $60!! I was shocked by how much cheaper it was!! They ended up recharging and adding freon (because they said there was more air in my a/c than freon) and performing a system flush all for $40 and they did an excellent job! There are phone numbers in the receipts to both places if anybody doubts my claims. Below, is a price comparison for the EXACT SAME services. If they overcharge this much for adding freon to your car, I'm sure everything else is just as overpriced. This review is actually long overdue. I initially found Castle Automotive via Yelp and have been coming here anytime my car has mechanical issues. Ara replaced the battery for my '08 Corolla, unfortunately, the battery started dying out right after the warranty ended. I contacted Ara and he had me come back to his shop. After he verified that it was the battery causing problems, he replaced the battery free of charge even though he could've charged me for it. This was in mid-2016. I'm very impressed by his customer service and how he goes above and beyond for his customers. I've recommended Castle Automotive to other people I know. Even though I've moved and no longer live close by, I'll come back here if my car has any issues in the future. read more

I had to change my oil on my 2013 Honda CR-V so I walk in tho this place, and ha dot have tire rotation and oil change is done rotation is done and this guy walks up to me and tells me that the battery is very bad needs to be changed, I never had problems with the battery, I drove off from that place across the street to put some gas so I can drive to work and my car didn't start, making the long story short they had replaced my car's original battery to some old broken battery so they can sale me my old one and make money on it. I do not recommend anyone to go in there they are thief's and crooks and liars. One more thing it was verified by a specialist that the original battery was changed so don't try to cover your mass. read more

I love this place! I have a BMW and taking my car for repairs to the dealership is out of the question because they always rip you off and do the worst possible work. Ara always uses BMW genuine parts and does an excellent job. Take as an example: I replaced a simple water pump and the BMW dealership and need to bring my car back 3 until finally they got correctly! took my car to Ara for some major repairs and my car works flawless and never needed to go back. TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. Trust me, you'll be glad you did. After my friend recommended this place, and I was done being effed with at Pep Boys (shudder) I let the guys at Castle take a look. I told them my fears that Pep Boys had sabotaged my car, and they assured me that they'd take a look and document what they found. Castle charged $99 to inspect my vehicle, but deducted that from the cost of the repair, which was great! For $427, they fixed what Pep Boys had charged $1,115 to repeatedly fail to fix. And they got it done overnight. I loved how the office manager LISTENED to me, and wrote down what I said. I don't think he believed me at first when I told him I thought my car had been sabotaged at Pep Boys, but he at least took me seriously enough to write down notes, and then called to to confirm that I was, in fact, correct. And the documentation and careful notes Castle provided helped me get Pep Boys to pay me back for all their shenanigans. Castle Auto even saved the part Pep Boys had damaged so I could keep it just in case I needed to go to court. So they saved me a TON of money, got me over a thousand dollars BACK, and fixed my car wonderfully. She runs better than ever. These guys absolutely rock. My husband and I have been bring our cars to Ara for 19 years now. We just bought our Daughter her first car (a 1991 toyota celica), and took it straight to Ara. He told us what had to be done (new tires), what should be done (new timing belt), and fixed a problem the last two owners mechanics had not been able to figure out (bad distributor cap). He checked brakes, clutch, gave it a tune-up and declared it safe and ready for our daughter to drive. Oh man, this place is top notch. My Wrangler's been doing this freaky, bone-rattling "death wobble" thing at high speed. I bring it to the Jeep dealership. They give me a blank stare, then misdiagnose it, telling me it's the front brake pads. I pay an arm and a leg to get those replaced, get back on the freeway and the Jeep starts shaking again, like I'm driving during an earthquake from hell. I bring the car back to the dealership. More blank stares. Now they want to throw the kitchen sink at it and replace half the front suspension. I tell them "Uh-uh, no way, I'm out of here!" and start googling other mechanics. I shouldn't have driven my car for 3 months with bad oxygen sensors, and I shouldn't have reset sensor codes without mechanic. Now, It's been 6 months since Castle Automotive team saved me $$$ by not replacing incorrectly identified part by Toyota Service Glen. (third party service) for my Toyota Camry 2005. I choose third party service because it's closer, and I thought they could be trusted. With check engine light on, I told them that I needed new oxygen sensor and that car is burning oil, but since oxygen sensor code was not showing up this time, THIRD PARTY SERVICE found that I needed new $800 charcoal canister, $27 gas cap, and started talking about oil leak fixes ($$$$) as next steps, and would NOT replace oxygen sensor without code. So luckily, part did not arrive on time and TWO days later, I got my car out of there. So I went to Ara at Castle Automotive, and got oxygen sensors and gas cap replaced: Car stopped burning oil, engine stopped rattling in low gear and started sounding correct again, no issue was found with charcoal canister (could have been gas cap), and check engine light never showed up again. I even wanted to fix oil leaks as third party service wanted me to do, but I was ensured that loosing quart of oil per month could not possibly be leaking without seeing any oil dripping on the floor and that leak is minor and not urgent and not related to oil burn. I am a loyal customer of Castle Automotive, and I have sent many grateful friends there. Ara, the owner, is a man of integrity. So refreshing and rare. I first heard about Castle after I posted on Facebook asking for recommendations for automotive repair shops that didn't overcharge. So many friends recommended Castle that I had to check it out. I will never ever go to a dealership or to another mechanic again. The first time I went to Castle was for a regular maintenance for my Prius. Ara explained to me that at the dealership, they print out a long list of things they did for each regular maintenance, like Performed Belt Inspection, Performed Hose Inspection, Checked Brake Lights, which just means they quickly looked to see if anything was wrong. All the dealership is really doing is changing the oil & filters, rotating the tires, and refilling the fluids, so Castle only charges for that. Instead of charging me $200 like they did at the Toyota dealership, Ara only charged me $39! Castle doesn't create problems that don't exist, they only do what's necessary, they actually do the work (unlike other places where they don't even do the work but charge you anyway), they do a great job, and they're pleasant to talk to. This business has been in Ara's family for generations. I will always take my car here. And if there's anything my car needs that they don't do, Ara will have a great referral for me nearby.
