We waited for 3 days to have this company to come after we scheduled our appointment. Which is OK. I can understand they are busy but now its been 4 days after they checked our garage door and offered us to replace the whole mechanism. We never got a phone call after their last visit. I tried to contact them 4 times. No luck. My cars are parked on the street for 1 week now and I still don't know how much time more it will take to fix it. I had to use this company because my home warranty (Old republic) made me. My garage door to my rental property broke. Ruben came out and determined the issue was not casued by normal wear and tear which obviously lead the home warranty company to deny the request. Fine, I can live with that I will pay them to fix it. Well Castle Contractors refused to complete the repair even if I paid out of pocket. The reason: We dont carry the tool to complete the repair. Oh ok, so you come, I have to pay a $65 fee for you to diagnose the issue and now I still need to find someone to fix it. This is ridiculous never in my life I have heard of such a thing. So when I spoke with Ruben he said he was trying to locate the tool. So I'm stuck with a broken door and now I'm minus $65. I will make sure to NEVER have them come out to my home. Since they don't seem to carry all the tools to complete a repair. read more

Alex was very friendly and respectful, fixed the issue after a little investigating and even looked at my other fans that were squeaking and found out just needed the screws tightened and he did it. If it was possible to put 0 Stars I would. This Contractor Noe Castillo is a crook and schemer. Waited 6 hours for him to leave 15 minutes after he arrived at my home and say it was not covered under my Home Warranty. A day later second option it was. In addition said he would be able to close my Garage door for $195 if I signed a Waiver of all Liability. Surprised he is still in business with no customer service or technical expertise. For his business cards to say " Service fit for a King" is blasphemy. Do not waste your time or money with this swindler. read more

Home Warranty company sent this electrician to fix an appliance issue. Fixed the burner on the stove fine but told us that there was no power coming to the second issue. They told the warranty company power was not connected and so warranty said it's not covered. Funny that i was using the appliance before it stopped working so power had to be connected to it. Because of the technicians report that it was not connected to power the warranty company said they wouldn't cover it. When I called the contractor they called me back and were immediately on the defensive saying there was nothing they could do for me and to call the warranty company even though their technician was the one who gave the warranty company bad information on the diagnosis of the problem. Wouldn't even let me speak with the technician who worked on it and hung up on me when I refused to accept their response. Very bad customer service and the person answering the phone needs some training in regards to handling these matters. Updating review: after looking at the other 1 star reviews it is no shock that this company has the privilege of working with home warranty companies and it taking them for everything they can get out of them. Its obvious they are misdiagnosing problems and still getting paid by the warranty company for their services and saving the warranty companies money by giving inaccurate reports on what needs to be fixed. Sounds like something a consumer advocate group may want to be aware of. read more

We had an electrical issue with our new home. Several outlets were not functioning at all. Ruben came and spent a good deal of time and effort to find the problem and correct it. Didn't even make it to my home. A work order was placed on 10/19 and I received multiple emails and text from the home warranty that the appointment hadn't been been scheduled, which I was told by home warranty the company would call me within 24 hours. On 10/22/20 my tenant calls Castle Contractors and they say they need a work order and I needed to call the home warranty. I call home warranty and after 30 minutes they too try to call Castle Contractors while I'm on hold and apparently they were unavailable. I get a call from Castle Contractors on 10/22 in the afternoon telling me I need to call home warranty again as the work order number doesn't suffice. I asked her to call home warranty as I had just spent 30 minutes with them earlier. She said she was too busy. I asked her, too busy for customer service? She said she didn't have time to call, so I told her I would ask for another contractor that can offer customer service. Customer service is very important! I could have replaced the spring myself in the amount of time I spent on phone calls. read more

I haven't dealt with a company like this in a long time. The actual owner, Noe came out following a Fidelity claim. There was a problem with my garage door track. He agreed but wasn't sure what it was and said he would let Fidelity know. He told Fidelity everything worked fine so they of course didn't cover anything. I rang to talk with Noe but the lady who answered the phone was one of the coldest, rudest people I have ever talked with and wouldn't let me talk with him and said he wouldn't call me back. Wow. My experience dealing with Castle Contractor was the absolute worst experience dealing with a contractor in my entire life. It took Castle Contractor 3 visits over a 3-week time frame to repair my garage door and I still had to have my landlord call another contractor to come our and fix it correctly. 1st Appt: 4 hour appointment window given - Tech came out to look at the broken garage door and said that we needed a new motor and that they would have to order it and it would take another week: Guess they don't know about Home Depot or Lowes 2nd Appt: 4 hour appointment window given - Tech showed up on time and I did receive a courtesy call saying he was on his way. It took him most of the afternoon to install the new garage motor and was still working on it when I got home close to 5pm. He was only going to give us 1 remote for the door and I had to tell him I was going to call the landlord and his boss because the box stated clearly that the new motor came with two remotes (he left two). When he was done, the tech stated that they do not remove the trash or old motor leaving me with a busted garage door motor still all put together in the middle of the garage floor. He wouldn't even be bothered helping me carry it outside to put it at the side of the house. Finally, he left and the two remotes worked and I thought this would be the end of my whole ordeal with these people. Much to my disappointment, the wall-mounted button did not work and was only held up by a tiny screw so when I pushed it for the first time to open the door the whole thing fell down and the screw fell out. I ended up having to call Castle again shortly before 5pm and of course got their voice mail. When Veronica from Castle finally called me back, the next day, we ended up playing phone tag a little bit and they finally were able to connect. Even though there was clearly still an issue with the garage door due to pure workmanship, I was told I'd have to wait another 3 or 4 days (don't remember exactly) before they would come out again to fix their poor workmanship. When I got upset and told her that this was not acceptable and that they should send a out a tech immediately because I would have to make arrangements for someone to be at the house again to meet with them again, Veronica accused me of being confrontational and that from this point forward, they were only going to deal with the landlord. At no time did I use profanity. 3rd Appointment: yet another 4 hour appointment window given: Tech came out and fixed the wiring in the crawl space above the garage. This was a quick fix but he was so very nice to say that it was because the wiring was not installed correctly by their tech. The garage door finally was working properly, or so I thought. Then on Sunday March 8, 2015 while closing the garage door it came crashing down. I immediately called took pictures and call the landlord who contacted her home warranty company to find out that Castle was no longer contracted by them. Within an hour, I was given the name and number of a new contractor who would give me a call to schedule an appointment to fix the door. The new contractor called Monday the 9th and was there to fix it the same day. He had to completely redo the work Castle Contractors did. The way I see it, Castle Contractor cost someone in my family 12 hours of time just to replace 1 garage door opener. I will NEVER use Castle for my home or any other home and I will tell everyone I know not to use them because they do AWFUL work and your time doesn't matter to them at all. read more

Alex arrived promptly at the scheduled time, he was very respectful and a pleasure to be around. He quickly diagnosed our electrical problem and answered every question we had with a smile on his face (we do ask a lot...) We were so impressed with their service and prices that we called them back right away to change two overhead fans - something we had been postponing for a year. I made a claim on my Old Republic Home Protection warranty because I had a problem with a breaker tripping, and Alex was sent out to my house. Prior to that, though, the dispatch office was willing to work with me on rescheduling times and was good about being in communication. When I called dispatch during my service window to see what the ETA might be, Alex called me right away to let me know when he expected to be there, and then called again when he was about 15 minutes away. He diagnosed the problems for several different issues and didn't try to rush out like some home warranty repair vendors have done in the past. He was extremely courteous and friendly, and he explained everything without being condescending, and he was able to fix my problems. I actually bothered to take his business card in case I have other electrical stuff I want to do in the future that isn't covered by my home warranty. My wife generally hates having contractors at the house because they don't like explaining things or because they end up being condescending, but she liked him because he was effective, genuinely nice, polite, and helpful even at the end of his day. He fixed at least two unrelated and frustrating problems, and he took the time to diagnose a third issue with switches that used to be on a 4-way switch before previous homeowners moved things around and broke the standard functionality by removing one of the switches from the mix. Avoid at all costs even if Fidelity is your home warranty insurer. The more customers who complain about Castle will encourage Fidelity to contract with more professional and more competent firms. When Fidelity approved repair of a garage opener, they assigned the work to Castle. Tech comes out and says that they need new parts. Two weeks go by with a broken garage door and my sports car parked outside. In the meantime I call a different firm for an estimate and was told that there are no parts for my existing broken door opener as it was manufactured in 1986. It took Castle two weeks to figure that out. Then they return to replace the appliance and in the middle of the job insist on $100 to re-mount the motor since that is not covered by Fidelity! It took the tech 15 minutes to find ceiling studs and attach the new motor to the ceiling joists (I watched). I guess that their retail charge must be $400 per hour given that they were already on site, had the parts and spent 15 minutes on this 'extra' work. We are not done: the door opener started to fail two weeks after a new installation and now I am caught in a bureaucratic hell between Castle who will not respect their warranty, and Fidelity who insists that Castle must return for warranty service. Bottom line is that garage door fails about 50% of the time. As with other reviewers, I really don't understand why Fidelity contracts with firms like Castle with no reputation, no BBB rating, no competence and out of the way in Temecula which always adds to delays. Ah, got it -- they are cheaper than professional firms and customers are penalized through poor service. read more

Unfortunately he wasn't able to get it going again due to it being an issue with the remote so the warranty company wouldn't cover it. My home warranty company Fidelity set me up with Castle Contractor and Alex was sent out to diagnose a sensor problem with my garage opener. The previous owner had installed the opener backwards so the sensors worked in reverse which was a definite safety issue. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem and once verified it was covered by the warranty, returned a few days later to fix the problem. Alex was very courteous, professional, extremely organized, clean and spent extra time to make sure the job was done right even with a full day of appointments ahead of him. It was a little tough getting through to the office but they were able to fit me into their schedule before the long weekend. Definitely ask for Alex! read more

Had Castle Contractor assigned to my repair from my home warranty company to fix my garage door opener. They called me and made an appt. They arrived within the time frame given and checked my garage door opener. I need new parts to repair the garage door opener to work. The parts were ordered and arrived within a few days. They contacted me when the parts arrived and made a second appointment. Again they arrived to my second appointment within the the time frame given. Their tech replaced the parts within 30-45 mins and now my garage works again. I did not have any issues with them at all. Left the area clean and took my old parts away. read more

We were referred to Castle Contractor by our home warranty plan due to our garage door not opening all the way and jamming on the way up. Noe was pleasant enough when he arrived, and seemed genuinely wanting to help. We showed him what we believed to be the issue, the cable to open the door was loose and popped out of the wheel, and one hinge that was broken (all of which was covered by our warranty) and he agreed that this appears to be the case and said that there seemed to be a balancing issue (most likely from the cable moving out). He said he doesn't fix this and said he will contact our home warranty to get someone else out to fix it. He left and we thought all was fine. In less than an hour, I received a call from our warranty company denying our claim because Noe told them that our entire garage door was broken, not fixable, and that we needed a whole new door, which of course the warranty does not cover. BUT THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH THE DOOR! Everything he told our warranty company was contradictory to what he told us to our face! Because of his lies, I had to go through my own expense and bring in another company and within 15 minutes fixed the cable and hinge and had it up and running! This new company told me that unfortunately this is very common with companies that work with home warranties...they will lie to get out of small jobs (this was a $150 fix) because they don't see much profit in it. That is exactly what happened here! I now find out that Castle has submitted a $60 bill to my warranty company that they are insisting I pay even though they did NOTHING! Guess it was easier for them to charge $60 to do nothing then $150 to actually fix the issue. I reported them to my home warranty and told them they should NOT do business with them if this is how they handle jobs sent their way! read more

I had a problem with an outlet on a house we just purchased. I called Fidelity (home warranty) and was quickly contacted by Castle. Alex came out and diagnosed the problem and made recommendations. We had a "short circuit" in some outside wiring, which unfortunately wasn't covered by the warranty. He disconnected the outside circuit from the house wiring which fixed our issue. I had requested that the tech. call when he was 20 minutes out so I could meet him. Never had a problem. Got the call and he arrived on schedule. Tech was good, no issue there. I had them come out for warranty work that wasn't covered by the warranty company. They quoted a total price which I paid. Then I get a bill from the warranty company! The woman in the office said it was clearly noted on the receipt, which I never got but needless to say, receipts are after the fact, not quotes. Called them numerous times and finally was able to set up an appt. Like most of the companies, they have a 4 hour wait for them to show up and the technician showed up within the first hour. They were sent to our home because plug for fridge wouldn't reset on breaker. They came over 48 hours later. We had to get help to get fridge out of cubby enclouser because it's so big and full of food. We had to run a very long extention cord from the kitchen to family room. When Noe Castillo finally arrived, my wife asked him to put on booties with elastic because our entry way is polished marble and then carpet, his boots were filthy. He wouldn't!!!!!!! The wife he did something behind the fridge and pushed it back to the wall & went to fuse box outside and left with the extention cord still connected to fridge. This was last Tuesday. We still don't know if repaired. I called the office and lady answering phone ws most rude.... I told her the events and she said she would call Noe. I had left numerious messages because the card said 24 hrs. Finally she called said the tech said he pluged it into the wall and I had already taken pictures as proof. When I tried to send to her she didn't want to see the pictures and told me not to call back. And after paying in advance had the nerve to invoice me. Stay away from these crooks! read more
