I had no issue with the people or the quality of work done here. In fact, every time me or one of our kids needed something done it was always done well and performed by pleasant receptionists, hygienists, and dentists. It was AFTER the work was done that the troubles began. Hopefully by now they have addressed the problem, but we experienced headache after headache trying to get the procedures paid for. They took forever to file the claim (almost a year in one instance) and the claims that were filed were often incorrect. It took so long to clear up our last procedure payments that we simply decided to go elsewhere. read more

The staff there weren't very warm or compassionate. They told me many (severe) things were wrong and had nothing positive to say even though I've been regularly seeing a dentist with no major issues. Their equipment seemed quite old and outdated. They said they found 6 cavities they wanted to fill and that one of my teeth would need to be extracted- I got a second opinion elsewhere 2 weeks later and they found none of the above. read more

The prices that an individual has to pay with insurance (my experience today) out of pocket are just as much if not more then 3 times the amount you have to pay at another dentist office without insurance. Went to replace a filling, left with permanent nerve damage that's been ignored by the office for months once made aware! Went for replacing a filling in the last few months, they discovered other cavities that had to be removed. Had to speak with endodontist about potential root canal, they cleared me as fine -- the standard cavity removal was fine it wasn't deep enough to require a root canal - prior to the dentist doing the actual removal. **Remember this detail. They do the initial removal, using lidocaine in the gums to do the removal. The dentist used the side of the drill for the tooth, but the tip of the drill stabbed, dragged, and tore apart my upper gums/cheeks! Next morning the top/side of my cheeks were WHITE and in immense pain that it was hard to eat. **It was during this appointment they tried telling me very "assuringly" that I needed to get the root canal done, which I informed them that that was incorrect as I spoke to the endodontist myself and they said it wasn't needed. They went and confirmed it with the endodontist and pretended like they never argued with me about it. Nice. During this appointment, I understand now that she not only destroyed the large area of tissue inside of mouth but also shaved off way more than was supposed to be taken out off of my teeth! I decided to ride it out with my torn apart gums/cheek but brought it up when I went in for my permanent crowns. (I should have been even more vocal about this, but I've been a patient of the medical industry long enough to know being ignored by the medical professionals that are supposed to help you is the status quo! I didn't want to waste my time being ignored, I digress.) Permanent crowns appointment, I bring up my gums damage which is still slightly visible after healing over the course of two weeks between appointments. They say, "Ah. Y'know. That happens. She does that sometimes. Anyways!" Sorry, ripping up the inside of your mouth to shreds is NORMAL? That's a sick joke. It takes at least twice as long than the appointment is supposed to take because when they removed the temporary crown and did ANYTHING to clean it out to put the permanent one in - it was excruciating (because the nerve is exposed!) They had to numb my mouth AGAIN because it was so excruciating. They also couldn't get my mouth to stop bleeding for over an hour DUE TO BEING TOO CARELESS AND AGGRESSIVE WITH MY GUMS. I left the appointment thinking the pain I still felt was a natural normal byproduct of removing temporary moving into permanent crowns. Then weeks turned into months, and I wasn't able to chew on the right side of my mouth without excruciating pain -- STILL CAN'T. Can't drink cold things on that side of my mouth etc. I called informing them of my issue a month or two later, saying what I think happened and I would like to be seen regarding this issue and that I do not want to be seen by the same dentist as I'm confident she was the issue as the only person who did the actual dental work. They said, "oh, okay. we'll reach out." I am here around 5 months later, completely ignored by this office and with genuine nerve damage in my mouth. I am now being forced to seek legal representation for this absolute negligence and malpractice in order to repair what I can of the damage done to me by this office/dentist. Incredibly unprofessional to argue with a patient and belittle their pain that wasn't accusatory, rather simply asking how the pain is coming about and asking them as medical professionals, I am supposed to trust, how they can help me. Do NOT go here to this office or at the very least do not seek or take care under the main dentist. If she's not there now, she was the one there back in July to September. BUT there were several Dental Assistants that were equally as dismissive as the dentist was as well. My landlady is using this location, or I guess I should say is TRYING to use this location. After several weeks, she has yet to get a phone call back from them. When she DID, eventually, talk to someone there, they claimed to have called her and left messages. However, she had zero calls from them in her call history. Frankly, if you actually NEED dental work done, you should put Castle Dental in the "do not consider" list. After listening to her try to deal with them, I can guarantee you that they are on mine. A very awesome service, I just got my oral surgery, and they made I really good job and make me feel really comfortable

The absolute WORST dental office I have ever been to. This is a delayed review as my appointment took place ~3 months ago, but I wouldn't wish my experience on my worst enemy. I recently moved to the area & my work's insurance set me up with Castle Dental as my dental office. It's been ~1 year since I've seen the dentist (thanks COVID), so I called and booked an appointment here. They had no appointments available for ~2 weeks, so I booked an 8:30AM slot (earliest available). Fast forward 2 weeks--arrive pretty early for my appointment (8:15AM) in the hopes I'll get called in early & be headed to work earlier than anticipated. 15 minutes pass...appointment time. Nothing. 30 minutes pass....nothing. 45 minutes pass & I finally get called in (mind you, it is now 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment). Okay, not the end of the world. I get it, businesses are short staffed. I'll still give 'em a chance. The cleaning begins. The hygienist explains what she's doing and everything goes smoothly as she cleans the left half of my mouth. ~10 minutes later, she begins packing all her tools up. I begin to get confused. She only cleaned the left half of my mouth...... ...so I ask, "what about the right half?" She explains they are busy and I'd have to come back. WHAT?!? Okay, I've got work to get to...I'm sure it'll be quick next time. I get to the front, let them know she only cleaned the left half of my mouth and need to come back for the right half. The front desk informs me they'll call me and reschedule for the right half in the next couple days. I make sure they aren't going to double charge me. At first, the front desk was hesitant to say they won't. Then she gives me a "yeah, that should be the case" answer. At this point I'm over it. You schedule an appointment for me, clean half my mouth, charge me the full price then have the audacity to tell me that I'll need to come back in and potentially pay the full price again for the other half of my mouth?! Whatever... I wait a couple days...no call to schedule. A week passes....nothing. 2 weeks.... 3 week... A month.... 2 months.... You can see where this goes. I've attempted calling and have been placed on hold, hung up on, and have never been able to follow up on the right half of my mouth. For the love of everything, DO NOT USE CASTLE DENTAL. I waited a while to write a review. Now that I have been to a different dentist, I can say that this location is lacking in a few things compared to others. The first real problem is availability of their specialists. I needed a deep cleaning and tooth pulled, but their specialist for that doesn't work in the office and they had no openings for a whole month. Also, even though I have insurance they provided me quotes for my treatment plan that when compared to another dental office, were significantly higher for my out of pocket. Please shop around, get second opinions if you can when it comes to pricing. Third, I felt like another number. It was in and out promptly, which is nice, but felt like I was being rushed from room to room by every person working there. Also, some of the employees there were gossiping about someone else that works there, and that's not something I care to hear. As I said I'm just comparing the service received at Castle Dental versus the place I went to after them and it was a HUGE difference. I was greeted immediately at the other place, asked if I needed anything (water, coffee, etc.), how I was feeling, what my concerns were...and all specialists are available there at the office so there is not a long wait at all for the type of procedure I needed. Every single employee there, even though they didn't work on me, smiled and said hi. The doctor who worked on me even called to follow up to see how I was feeling the next morning. They were able to give me discounts and work with my out of pockets based on what needed to be done. read more

I'm generally not in favor of going to chain franchises of dentists where there are multiple dentists in the same office. It seems really impersonal, and I feel like the truly experienced and skilled dentists would be working out of their own offices with their own practices. Castle Dental seems to be one of those places where dentists get their "starter job" out of dental school. Practice on somebody else, thanks. Unfortunately, my crappy insurance plan only seems to include franchise McDentist type places, and this location happens to be really close to my workplace. So okay, I tried it. Castle Dental sucks at not only dentistry, but pretty much everything else too. The office staff can't organize their shit and call you back. The dental tech pokes you relentlessly, and rather condescendingly argues with you when you decline to allow them to shoot a large series of carcinogenic x-rays straight through your brain. The first time I went here, I had scheduled a checkup and cleaning, but when I arrived they told me the hygienist wasn't there that day, and I'd have to come back another day. That annoyed me because I had taken the morning off work to get both done the same day. They promised to call me to schedule the cleaning, which they never did. The second time I went, I had chipped a tooth. I asked for a checkup and a cleaning - but I didn't get the cleaning again. This time they completely forgot about the scheduled cleaning and I was too mad by the end to remind them as they were ushering me out of the door. When I spoke to Dr. Huang about my chipped tooth, he took a couple quick x-rays and said I needed a crown. He quoted me a price of $800 after my insurance and they tried to get me to schedule the procedure immediately, which I did not do. After doing a little research, I discovered there are much less invasive options than grinding a tooth down to a nub and capping it, creating additional care and the risk of root canals, bacteria getting under the crown, etc. It would have been great to discuss all my options prior to grinding down one of my teeth forever and permanently, thanks. Secondly with my insurance plan, crowns should cost $400, not $800. Apparently the extra $400 was for a cosmetic procedure to dye the crown a matching color, and keep in mind this is a molar way in the back of my mouth that nobody sees. Castle Dental didn't present it as an optional cosmetic procedure, they just wanted to bill me double. So if I had been a dummy and listened to these people, I'd have blown $800 on an invasive, unnecessary procedure and I'd have a permanently altered tooth. Instead, I went to an experienced family dentist who recommended that my chipped tooth be saved and he patched me up - good for another 10-15 years. I transferred all my dental records to my new dentist. I will never be back. Fuck this place. read more

I recently took advantage of the $29 introductory deal for new patients, knowing that it was going to be more than a simple cleaning, because it had been a few years since my last visit to the dentist, and I had a chipped molar that needed repair. After x-rays and initial consult, it was determined that the chipped tooth was minor, and only needed a filling, along with an additional filling for a cavity for the tooth next door, and more importantly, needed a deep cleaning for periodontal disease (lower jaw) and a crown for a cracked molar that already had a filling. The deep cleaning went well; the dental hygienist was knowledgeable and the time passed by quickly. I was given local anesthesia for my lower bite, which needed the deep cleaning (standard on top), so the process had minimal discomfort. The third visit we did the crown; Dr. Huang was efficient and quick, and the assistant personable. They offered to take care of the two fillings, which I agreed to; I'm fairly sure they stayed after closing time to get it all done. Dr. Huang took the time to fill my chipped tooth twice, as he was not satisfied with the initial filling. Honestly, the most uncomfortable part is the process of the local anesthesia wearing off on my face, and general soreness from holding my mouth open, which is to be expected. All three appointments I was on time, and didn't wait longer than 5 minutes in the waiting room, maybe just a minute or two on the 3rd appt. The staff has always been friendly and attentive, every time I've gone in. My husband will be going there next week for his first visit. We're both uninsured, so I recommend Careington for a dental discount plan. It's affordable and so worth it: all 4 procedures total cost less than what ONLY the crown would have cost had we not gotten the discount plan. I'll keep going to this location regularly for cleanings, too. read more

8/15/14 So after getting conflicting answers from SO many people that work there and never getting anything right (too long for me to go into - maybe I will when I have the time but I'm over it) as well as a recent claim that was denied (due to misinformation that hopefully has been corrected by the manager), I can take no more. AVOID The female employee's at the front counter are horrible. They have billed me wrong three times, charged me for procedures that did not happen. I went in and had an exam on my teeth, the dentist said I needed 5+ fillings The estimate they handed me was completely wrong, it left out dental work that the dentist said I needed. So when I went in to get the work done the dentist was confused because half the work I needed was not on the sheet. Also they let people who are still in training from somewhere that are clumsy and have no idea what they are doing touch your teeth. I had a lady start putting numbing agent in the wrong area of my mouth than where I needed work. I had to stop her or who knows what would have happened. She also sprayed water in my eyes from the mouth rinser thing... WTF The staff at the front desk will roll their eyes at you and snap at you in a mean tone if you ask questions. When it is THEIR JOB Especially the shorter hispanic one, who is a total bitch. I had to sign some papers for my procedure and I guess I was supposed to sign the back of the sheet too, she picked up my sheet and turned it over and slammed it on the desk with a pen in her hand and glared at me. Didn't even ask me to sign it. I cannot belive these billing specialists graduated college and can act this way to customers. shame on you. I had one of the dentists there miss diagnose my tooth into needing a crown when it should have just been pulled. it took 3 hours for them to tell me that and she seemed like she was mad that a crown was not going to work on the tooth, like she just did 3 hours of work for the price of a pull instead of a crown. They had to do alot of x-rays on it over and over and it seemed to make the hygenist mad because she kept throwing the weighted x-ray apron on me like she was annoyed. It was completely unprofessional. That thing weighs alot. I also had some fillings done and they did them wrong, they were poking into my other teeth giving me pain for many days until I could get an appointment to fix it. I chose to get my wisdom teeth taken out at Castle Dental; it was a very big decision on my part and I definitely made the right choice. Not only was Dr. Foster (my dentist) very helpful and super nice, the office staff were fantastic in walking me through applying for CareCredit (which is literally the best thing in the world for someone like me who doesn't have insurance) and setting relief to all of my fears about having my wisdom teeth extracted in the first place. Dr. Foster pulled one of them, the one that was in the most pain and It was a very gentle experience. I know that is weird to say for an extraction, but as someone who literally has the lowest pain tolerance, it says a lot. She urged me to call if I had any problems and even had me come in a few days later to make sure everything was going okay. Their oral surgeon, Dr. Gopi was awesome! Upon leaving surgery, he gave my mom a packet of VERY THOROUGH instructions that had his phone numbers and his contact information in it and he remained completely accessible to me for any and all questions that I had regarding my recovery -- which is really important to me. I like to feel cared about and this experience definitely had me feeling like I was. I would totally recommend this office of Castle Dental -- my experience was top notch! read more

Never go to Castle Dental for Dental service. They rip off and recommend unnecessarily treatment. My kid's teeth and mine were fine but they wanted to treat with fluoride and deep cleaning. They wouldn't clean unless deep cleaning is done. I let them did mine first time and second year they wanted deep cleaning again. I knew they billed my insurance and asked me to pay extra out of pocket. I refused to let them rip me off this time and went to someone else for regular cleaning. I were told just regular cleaning and brush gently three times daily with sensodyne toothpaste. It should be fine. I'm happy at the new place for dental care. read more

This place will lie to you about your dental needs! Robbing you of hundreds of dollars. My husband and I both went to this location and were given expensive treatment plans that said we had cavities and needed deep cleanings that were very expensive! Thankfully we knew better! We both went to a new dentist and my husband has NO cavities! Castle said he had four cavities!!! He also did not require a deep cleaning! I was told I needed a filling replaced, this was not true, nor do I need a deep cleaning. We literally would of spent a couple thousand dollars if we believed what we were told. I went here multiple times for multiple reasons for I will review each visit and overall experience. 1. Routine Cleaning: 5 stars. Their head oral hygienist was awesome. Only reason why I stayed here. And ease of getting in. 2. Root Canal: 4 stars. They did do a decent job and still holding after 2 years. pain during and after wan't that bad 3. Filling: 1 star. Had to do it 3 times. 1st time had 2 filing and when I came back 6 month later the doctor said the filling was not done properly and was cracking. so he redid it. another 6 month later different doctor at another office said he have to redo the filling because it was not done properly. It's now ok and had no problems. I guess overall i would give 3 stars since I did enjoy the hygienist and they did ok job on my root canal. read more

Went in for a routine cleaning in May where the dentist found a cracked molar. He recommended getting a crown. 5 months and 3 reimpressions later, the office has stopped returning my calls and I've been wearing the same temporary crown for 5 months. Normally I don't write reviews unless service is over the top or just awful! Unfortunately, the service here was atrocious! I went to see Dr. Wong about 2 weeks ago for what I felt to be a loose crown that I had put in about a year ago. (Paid for out of state -$1,200). Was told at that time the crown was under warranty. I understand that I was not told this by Dr. Wong but another dentist. Called my prior dentist, they told me that any dentist should Be able to honor the warranty and place the crown on should it come off or replace it if cracked. Needless to say, when I went to Dr. Wong he advised my crown was not loose as I thought. He told me I was fine. They told me at that visit I would need a deep cleaning and three fillings at my next visit. Was told at this visit it would take no more than two hours. Had the cleaning done, which wasn't bad but after I did realize my face was scratched twice! Guess I didn't notice as I was numb before and not looking for anything? Anyway, as the hygienist was finishing up, low and behold my crown pops off! Sheaves it seem like no big deal. Dentist can fix it. Well, of course he says he cannot! He goes on to show me videos of "options." First is a bridge, costs roughly 1500 or so and they'd essentially shave down two additional teeth that don't need to be touched and provide crowns for all 3 teeth! Second, an implant which is about 4K. And I'd have a missing tooth for 6 months until it healed and then I'd get an Implant!! Or the most comforting option, he can place the crown back in my mouth and his words I'd run the risk of it falling out even if I walked out the door or I could choke on it! So upset to know castle didn't correct THEIR error! They blamed it on build up from prior to the teeth cleaning and said it was a matter of time! How did the dentist not see this prior when I came in initially for that primary concern! In a nutshell, I will not be going to this location again! Understand how they have the rating they do! Was able to talk to a district manager and j was BEYOND helpful and restored some of my faith in castle. Just not this location!! read more

I came in for a cleaning, after the examination they were upselling me and advised I should do the cleaning that would cost more out pocket. I declined and said I wanted the regular cleaning. The person then said this is what the dentist recommends and gave me a paper to acknowledge that I wanted the service and would accept the additional costs. I left without any services done. I feel like I've been scammed. I went to Castle years ago to get my one and only (thank God) crown, and was under the impression it was an "emergency" dentist. I was wrong. I have the sucktastic Aetna dental "insurance" and for some reason we have to go to this God awful place. Let me start at the beginning. When I got there, the woman at the desk ignored me for a few minutes whilst I stood right in front of her. After gaining her notice, she directed me to fill out the usual forms. No biggie. I didn't have my insurance card, but my dh had been there a couple of weeks before and they had said at the time that they could just transfer the info over to my profile. Turns out that that makes me a "pain in the ass". Not that she said that. But the look in her eye let me know. Next was the XRay. They had a trainee from one of those for-profit "universities" there to help. It took over 30 minutes of the most painful xray takin' of my life to get out of that torture chamber. The tech even told me that she knew that it hurt and "they used to have a much better machine, but it's been gone for a few weeks". Awesome. When I finally was seen by a hygenist, it wasn't to really do anything but count my teeth. Seriously. And measure the size of my "gum pockets". I actually was feeling pretty good! Mine were in great shape considering the metal fillings that I have from the 80's. Really! All "1 and 2"! Except for what will now be known as Devil Tooth. That bad guy had a 5. Who knows why. But it was, after all, only the one. The dentist finally came in and with out a word of greeting told me to open my mouth. Wider. Can't you get any wider? No. He just kind of poked around then told me that I would need to schedule a cleaning for later. This is where I have a major problem. In the 30+ years that I have been to the dentist, this has NEVER HAPPENED. Ever. It is so bizarre to me that I at first didn't believe it. I was led out to the front so that I could discuss my payment plan. WTF? I have INSURANCE. That means that cleaning is taken care of, right??!! Um. No. For some reason it costs an extra 100$ to scrape Devil Tooth. W. T. F. I won't even go into the flouride treatment that they suggested. Nor will I tell you how much it would have cost. I said no. I am now going to call a real dentist. I'll be damned if I give Castle a dime more of my/my insurance's money. How can 2 visits even be cost effective? I'm pissed. I came here after going to the castle on Braker and metric and it was like night and day. The office staff was wonderful kind considerate thoughtful didn't take any stress out on me at all. When I got there she said I may or may not have a cleaning depending on if the doctor diagnosis includes a cleaning and whether a hygenist was available. She said I would be there 2-2.5 hours to wait for a cleaning if it was diagnosed?! What kind of doctor feels a cleaning needs to be diagnosed? Everyone needs their teeth cleaned. I was scheduled to have my wisdom teeth extracted on the 19th of December at you palmar lane /techridge location. Your staff told us to make sure that we arrived for our 1pm appointment 30 min early. So we arrived at about 1215 just to make sure. When we sat down, and we waited for at least 45 minutes for someone to talk to us. I had taken off of work, and my fiancée had taken off of work for this. When they finally did call me back, and I need to add people who came after us were seen before us, the girl notified me that my insurance amount ran out. If I had known, or they could have called us the day before to let us know we would not of wasted our time as well as yours. We could have rescheduled. But that wasn't the case your staff waited til about an hour after we have signed in to communicate with us. Having this knowledge, and already being angry at the lack of communication and customer service. I went ahead and went to the back and met with your oral surgeon. You know when you have to say certain things a million times it loses its meaning. Well your doctor treated me like I was just a unit on a conveyor belt, to get in and get out. When he went over the procedure he asked for previous x-rays, and I had to repeat my answer to him 3 times because he did not listen. He asked if I had any questions, after he hadn't listened to me, and sounding like he was reading from a movie script. I have never felt so unsure about anything. When he discussed the nerve damage, and I did ask a question he glossed over it, and went straight back into his script. I thought maybe it will be different the next time we come in. Well, boy was I wrong. We had taken off of work yet again, and we showed up early like they had asked, again. When we got there they let us know they were running an hour behind schedule. To that, why didn't they call us that morning to let us know? We arrived at 1215pm, and by 140PM we decided to leave. I had sprained my ankle over the weekend, and I was unable to eat or drink anything for 12 hours before the procedure (as per your offices instructions, which I found out it is actually 8 hours. So another lacking in communication and training on your part), and it was unbearable. After being treated the way we were we decided to leave, and seek out another oral surgeon with a better and more competent bedside manner and knowledge of how to run an office. I have been in the customer service industry for over 16 years. I currently manage a staff, and the number one thing is communication which your staff is severely lacking. Also, another example 1.6.2014 I called your colonnade office, and asked for a supervisor or corporates number to follow up with the complaint I had left last week. The girl put me on hold, and left me there. Because I had been on hold so long, the call was rerouted in your office to another person who informed me that the supervisor wasn't even there. Information that the first girl should have given, instead she left me on hold so that someone else to deal with me. UNPROFESSIONAL. I was nervous even coming into your place, but your company was close so I thought why not. Now, I know why all my friends and family tried to steer me away from you. I am unhappy, upset, and really don't know how yall are still in business. My thoughts are because I have grown up with amazing dental and orthodontic care is that your company and staff are praying on people who don't have much money and who have very little choices. Honestly, How dare you! I will be submitting this to your corporate site, YELP, and a few others. I have tried to communicate with your company 3 times, and have not been answered. If the charge on my account goes through. I will be going to the POLICE, and filing a THEFT of SERVICE charges toward your company due to you stealing money for a service that wasn't completed or even started. Should have done more research before going to this place. Looked up in-network providers close to home and found this one - cursory google reviews gave it 4.2 stars so I thought - what the hell - will give it a shot for my normal cleaning. I have other services that I will go for in the future depending how good this relationship goes, but I'm one for making decision on my own time and weighing cost vs benefit before doing so; like most others, I don't like being forced on an up-sell. Needless to say, scheduled for a 4pm cleaning - get in - was told that i can only get xrays and initial exam done because it was late and docs want to go home... Why did you schedule me at 4pm then? And why didn't you say this in the first place? But no worries, I was chill because you know what, it's 430pm; maybe they have kids and want to get home. Fine. After that hygienist comes and checks my gums then "recommends" a gingivitis cleaning. Bit later, doc comes says everything is fine - then leaves. Okay - whatever so far. When I get to the counter - that's when issues start. Estimates come out for exam - xrays (covered), then the gingivitis cleaning (out of pocket ofc) - after that regular cleaning with fluoride. I did some quick research on "gingivitis cleanings" and made a decision that I would do a regular cleaning and on my next visit, see if improvement was done; if not, i would then do the gingivitis cleaning. A red flag was already there when I saw the fluoride treatment already included without even being asked. I asked then if I could choose to just do a cleaning - but the answer was no. I was being forced to do the gingivitis and then regular cleaning otherwise they wouldn't do any cleanings at all. I was shocked. I confirmed by asking again. Again firm no. I asked for my xrays and walked out. Of course, another dentistry that looks just to upsell and charge whatever they can to make even more money. Advice: don't come here and look over your bill down to the minute detail. Read each code billed and line item and question if it is necessary. Read reviews on the dentistry before you go. It's too bad all of this has to happen just to find a decent dentist. I was planning some ortho treatment and whitenings in the future but my business will obviously go elsewhere. read more

I've been to Castle Dental a few times before for a root canal and a tooth extraction. Each time was meh.. I've had a few different orthodontists while I was there and I didn't really care too much for the last one. The last few times I was there, the staff appeared to be engaged in gossip and were not very welcoming to the patients. Furthermore, Dr. Huang may be good at what he is doing, but when it comes to people skills and putting people at ease, I think there's room for improvement. In any event, I called YESTERDAY to schedule an emergency appointment because of pains that I was experiencing in my gums. I don't remember who I spoke to, but the receptionist appeared to be burdened by me speaking to her. Instead of addressing my issue, she "assumed" that I was calling to get a bridge or an implant. I felt like she heard me, but wasn't listening to why I was calling. Furthermore, she gave me a hard time on phone about trying to schedule me the next day and given that this was an emergency, she did not see the need to help out and pawned me off to the Castle Dental off Anderson Ln or something. So..... I remembered that there was a place in Tech Ridge called Parmer Dental Care (right next to Chik-fil-A) that a friend of mine told me about. I read the Yelp Reviews as well and decided to give them a call. From the moment the lady answered the phone, she put me at ease (as I was still upset from my previous call to Castle) and she pulled some strings to make sure I was seen as soon as possible because of the pain I was in. She even emailed me the paperwork that I needed to bring in for my appointment, which was convenient on both counts. When I arrived, the entire staff was warm and friendly and ensured that I was going to be taken care of. I have to tell you, Dr. Justin Israelson (who doesn't mind to be called Justin) was just as warm and welcoming. He showed genuine care and concern and was straight up about what needed to be done. As it turns out, I had a pretty bad cavity and he made time right then and there to ensure that it got taken care of right away. As I left, everyone had a smile on their face and wished me a good weekend. I too, left with a smile on my face, even though it was kind of sore! LOL My suggestion is to skip the mediocre service at Castle Dental and make your way over to Parmer Dental Care!!!! Because of the receptionist and of course the mediocre service at Castle Dental, I will now be going to Dr. Israelson at Parmer Dental Care! read more

I made an appointment for a simple cleaning. My insurance covers two cleanings a year. The beginning of the visit they took x-rays that I'm told is standard for new patients and part of the visit. Then they cleaned my teeth. Not sure how they were doing it because it involved needles and lots of pain. Tears where actually rolling down my face. And NO, my teeth are NOT that bad. End of visit the bill was $480.00! It should have been free. They do not let you leave with out paying. I asked what was going on and they told me that my insurance does not cover deep cleaning. I did NOT ask for this! I did NOT have the money so needless to say some bills were not paid that month. read more

The female dentist replaced old fillings. Now I can't chew on the right side of mouth. Went back several times for her to fix it but she continues to do a bad job. Just gave up and found a new dentist recommended by friends. Front office staff not too friendly either. I asked for my records and she gave me the wrong ones. All she could say was, "I thought you said your name was Patricia!" Funny thing about that... she never even asked me for my name. Avoid for filling or fixing any bites! read more

Worst experience ever! I needed to get a cleaning done by the end of the calendar year for insurance to pay a higher rate next year. I called Castle Dental to arrange a cleaning. The fellow on the phone told me that they would need to do X-rays before the cleaning since I wasn't a patient there. Understandable! I showed up with my paperwork in hand at 10:45 for my 11:00 appointment. After waiting until 11:30 the lady called me to the back and proceeded to tell me that I likely wouldn't be able to get the cleaning done this year... WTF, that is the whole reason I was there! So I cant recommend this place, hell I should have looked at the ratings first.. So I have wasted hours between calling, driving, waiting, filling out paperwork, ect.. Dr. Foster is wonderful. She and her entire staff are genuinely friendly. She and her staff are very good about explaining everything, and she will talk you right though the process so you know what is happening each step of the way. I will definately go back. read more
