Stopped here for lunch after a tasting - perfect complement to the day! The staff was super friendly despite us showing up almost 30mins late for our weekend lunch reservation. I ordered the brisket ravioli off the specials menu for the day, absolutely delicious! Reminder to self to also try Michael's pasta - had some trouble deciding between the two but our waiter convinced me. The rest of the table also ordered the 3-meat ravioli in garlic butter sauce (ok, but the sauce isn't anything to write home about) and the Lasagna in Domenica's sauce (very good, but it's not spicy at all so don't believe the description). We also shared a Molten Lava cake, nice sweet end to the meal except this might be the first lava cake I've had that was more lava than cake... Would definitely come back to try some of the other pastas! read more

This place has always been amazing! How am I only just now reviewing them?!?! The owners are lovely, the food is always wonderful. The servers and bussers are always pleasant and did I mention the food is delicious? I've been coming here for years and at first I didn't think I would ever become a regular, because I'm not a local. The two owners, a brother and sister duo, have always gone out of their way to make me feel welcome and recognized. They have also handled themselves beautifully during Covid. This has been one of the restaurants who has always been at the forefront of keeping their staff and customers safe adhering to very strict guidelines and practices. Went with a friend last night and we sat on the patio which was lovely. She ordered a glass of red wine and it came chilled... thinking it was a mistake, we grabbed the waiter and said something. He said, "well yes it's been in the wine fridge" Huh?? Red wine doesn't belong in the wine fridge! He took it back and brought out another red she selected. Again, ice cold. Ive NEVER experienced this anywhere let alone an "authentic" Italian restaurant. She said forget it and ordered a margarita. Very disappointed because she was looking forward to pairing the wine with her meal. I can't understand what compels them to chill their red wine. But anyways our food came scary fast, before we even got the drink thing sorted out. It was tasty but not homemade by any means. The waiter kept trying to push more drinks on us even though we kindly told him no because we each had a long drive home. Just odd experience. Probably won't be back. I'm so glad for restaurants like Catelli's still exist in today's world of uncertainty. I have been twice, once pre-Covid-19 and last night. Pre-Covid-19 it was a hustling and bustling spot and really had a nice vibe going. From that first impression I made it a point to return, but as life would have it, there were complications. That is why I'm happy to report that Catelli's is open for business and I had such a great dinner last night. I called last minute to see if they could get me in. The hostess Melanie was very helpful and was able to get us in. Because of Covid-19 all dining is outdoors. To my surprise they have two gorgeous outdoor dining areas. We had a perfect table and our server Val took such good care of us. We started with this great vodka lemonade cocktail, followed by carpaccio and beet salad, dinner was clam linguine in white sauce and my wife had the chicken parmigiana . We finished with a complimentary bread pudding for our wedding anniversary celebration. For a moment all seemed perfect, the world was far away and we were at peace. Simply a superb lunch. The house salad with a housemade sun dried tomato dressing was outstanding. We split the lasagna with meat sauce - off the charts. Must have been made by a Nona. Wow. What an amazing time with AMAZING food! We stopped into this GEM on the way to some wine tasting. The reviews and photos of this place did not do it justice at all. The decor was rustic chic, so gorgeous . Since it was a beautiful day, we sat on the back patio which was blessed with living walls, plants crawling up the buildings , black and white checkered floors, and individual table umbrellas for each table. It's was so comfortable and relaxing . We ordered a round of the lavender lemon drops, MUST TRY. The burrata & prosciutto appetizer- this was served with toasted baguette, seasoned arugula, the most tender burrata I've ever had, and a nice pile of prosciutto. Everything about this dish just worked so well. Garlic bread - on sourdough, crispy, warm, garlicy, so good! Minestrone - very good and so hearty filled with potatoes and veggies . Kale salad- this was the darkest green kale I've ever seen. It was so fresh and the lemon zest and juice really was refreshing . Spaghetti carbonara - with this one we added the fennel sausage, best decision ever because it added to the greatness ! The portion size was unbelievably huge and every bite was savored! Michales pasta - this was one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had in my life, and that should say a lot considering I grew up in an Italian family who's life's revolves around pasta ! It was penne pasta with chunks of fennel sausage with a spicy red sauce and local cream. Again, heaping portions , they do not skimp here ! I was able to take home more than half of my plate! From being to end the staff was extremely professional and accommodating!! We arrived way too early for our reservation time, expecting to wait at the bar, but no, they happened to be able to make some adjustments and seated us right away!! We're vegetarian and they have plenty of options available, they also have a vegan menu too, if you wish, which our waiter gave us for more options!! For appetizers we had minestrone soup and garlic bread both were out of this world yummy. Their only homemade pasta are the ravioli and the lasagna...All the sauces are made from scratch.. You can get the cheese ravioli with any sauce you want I chose the Mushroom Cream Sauce (with no meat, if you want meat it has a crispy prosciutto topping.) It was perfect, much lighter than I expected with shiitake and porcini mushrooms cooked beautifully, usually I have to ask for more parmesan cheese but not here the sauce had the best flavor so I didn't need to add anything!! The ravioli pasta was so thin it was a wonder how they stayed together without exploding during cooking!! The filling was a great little bite of delicious cheeses and spices! My husband had the ravioli as well but he had the Domenica sauce which is their own special red sauce, they say it is spicy but sadly it was not spicy enough to warrant a warning, but the flavor was amazing. Even my Mother in law didn't find the Domenica sauce spicy and she is sensitive to spices!! Sorry no pictures but it was so classy and every table was full so we just wanted to concentrate on our meal!!! Another FANTASTIC dinner at Catelli's! My husband and I celebrating our anniversary.... we were so excited to be back! It's by far.. become our FAVORITE place to dine... for any occasion! The food and the service was exceptional! We sat on the patio... gorgeous night! Very romantic! We started with an order of their amazing Garlic Bread with a side of marinara for dipping ...! My husband ordered the Chicken Parmesan and I ordered MICHAEL's pasta... both were exceptional! I had the signature cocktail "Tru Lemonade(vodka martini With fresh berries!). My husband had the Italian Stallion Pilsner... I then had a glass of wine with my dinner.... We topped off with a Tiramisu... best ever! AND.... "My LIQUID Dessert" was THE Espresso Martini! Pasta dishes are amazing, the service is attentive but not bothersome. We've had the penne with lemon sauce, they know how to prepare the pasta perfectly, and it's become a staple for us. My family and I have been going here for the past three years for special family dinners. Last night was one of those special dinners and I'm sad to say last night was not a good experience for us, to the point that we've discussed ideas of a new place to go. We ordered cocktails and appetizers (Burrata & Prosciutto, Garlic Bread). Those are both delicious and one of our favorites, we get them every time. That was no problem and came out so quick. The table we were sitting out was facing towards a window and the sun was bouncing off the white building across the street and was causing a glare straight into our half the tables eye. We asked the server if they had a blind or something they could put down. They were not able to offer that so we asked if we could adjust the table, he told us no. They wouldn't allow it because they would not be able to fit all the guest. Mind you the two tables next to us were empty and remained empty the whole time. Never once apologized or tried to come up with another solution. Like I said, we've been coming here for all our special dinners and my Dad orders the same thing every time (flank steak w/ a side of butter and garlic pasta) the server told him that was not allowed and in the 6 years he has been working here the kitchen has never allowed it. More cocktails were also ordered with dinner. When dinner came out 4 of 6 the meals were barley warm and the cocktails still hadn't arrived. When addressed with the server there was no apologetic behavior, he was argumentative. Asked what we would like to be done. Instead of arguing with him we just made due and finished our meal. We're a party of 7.5 so I understand it's hard to accommodate everything being brought out at once and hot but with the amount of money we pay for our dinners I would expect more. Visited Italian restaurant (since 1936) in a tiny town 10 min north of Healdsburg called Geyserville. reservations for 4 :45 pm. inside was bustling, waiter Kevin Very enthusiastic introduction to the menu, it was very good service. Kale salad was excellent. 10-layer lasagna and ravioli (filling was a mixture of chicken, beef, Italian sausage and parsley) are handmade and the dough is paper-thin and melts in your mouth (ravioli was surprisingly al dente). but the only downfall was the dish we ordered , the potion were bite a small , The seafood "cioppino" with homemade Italian sauce was flavorful and delicious - the clams were the best part but unlucky was with Two slices of burnt bread, can't eat it .so we added another pasta as a side dish . You'll want to book for Catelli's because even in January, the place was super busy. We arrived just about on time for our reservation and were brought to a nice table in the second room. It's crowded and the tables are a little close to each other, but they serve good food and so that's gonna happen. A started off with a beer and enjoyed the bread while we looked over the menu. Instead of butter or olive oil, it comes with an interesting tangy spread that went nicely. Yum. For main course, the "Pasta of the Moment" caught my eye. Angel hair, tossed with broccoli rabe and some other greens but it was the chopped anchovies that I thought would be interesting. Sadly, there was very little anchovy flavor. The pasta was cooked well and it did taste great with not too much oil, but it needed the salty anchovies to really hit the right note. My dining partner chose the burger, minus bun, and said that it was delicious. They'll definitely accommodate your special order. Parking? Good luck. We managed to find a street spot but that apparently never happens. read more

Sleepy little downtown Geyserville has a few small businesses that make it a worthwhile destination, and this is one of them. Catelli's has been in the restaurant business, under one family's management, for decades and their experience shows in every bite of food they serve. The pasta is fresh and delicious, the service is knowledgeable and friendly, and the decor is fresh and lovely. We very much enjoyed the beet salad, lasagna, chicken parm, and the wine selection. This place introduced me to my newest Rose addiction from Mercury wines (just down the street), and I am grateful for that. This is the kind of place that welcomes out of towners as heartily as they do their local regulars, making everyone feel at home, showing love the Italian way by filling our tummies with great food and wine. Such a lovely, cute Italian restaurant!! Glad we found this place. We went to Francis Coppola winery during the day and finished our night at Catelli's, about a 10-15 drive. We were lucky enough to have beautiful summer weather, so we sat outside. If given the chance, I'd dine outside!! Such a cute garden, reminds me of Alice in Wonderland- The black and white tile with garden chairs and abundance of trees surrounding the tables. Our server was so sweet and attentive. Food was delicious, no complaints at all. Servings are generous, family style is a must so that you can experience more than a few dishes. We have enjoyed Catelli's several times and have recommended it to many friends and acquaintances. Yesterday was a sad day, because the food was not up to their normal standards, it was actually bad. The salad was bad and the pasta with clams lacked any taste. Three of us had the pasta with clams and we all came out saying, it was awful. The staff was so scattered brain they were not paying attention to anything. We were not finished with our salad plates, when the main dishes arrived. I wanted to say; Please place it over my unfinished salad. There was no attention to detail or anything. So sad, I have to write this but it needs to be done. We had our wedding (both ceremony & reception) at Catelli's and we were truly blown away! Throughout the year leading up to the big day my vision came true. We had done a few walk throughs, a tasting, and many phone calls - everything we had mentioned was taken into account. The staff was INCREDIBLE. The appetizers and food was beyond delicious. Everything came out hot. Our guests are still talking about it to this day. The drinks were flowing and no one had to wait in line for long. We had 117 people at the wedding. Dominica is amazing. Beautifully decorated location with an elegant vibe. I thought it's a great place for a special occasion dinner or romantic dining. Make sure you do reservations in advance as it appears this restaurant does get busy. They have a bar area as well. Parking may be an issue depending on how busy the town is. Staff was attentive and very hospitable. Food was delicious and made with high quality ingredients but I was slightly dissatisfied with the lack of flavor on some of the dishes I tried. Especially after reading all the stellar reviews on Yelp. I had high expectations for this establishment. The raviolis were just "ok" for my liking. Maybe if I would've chosen a different sauce with it the outcome would've been different. Their Prosciutto appetizer was delicious & I would recommend that dish. Their Caesar Salad is to die for! Best salad with just the right amount of dressing. I could eat a huge bowl of that salad and would be very content. The Chicken Parmesan was good as well, but, the sauce lacked flavor. read more

We returned earlier but I forgot to post my review. It was in the middle of the Pandemic when we ate in the patio. It was perfect. Our food and service were great. This time we were inside. I had the mushroom pasta. I think I had the lasagna last time and both of them were absolutely delicious. I had the tiramisu for dessert and I remembered this time not to eat it all. I saved it to take home so I can have it again. I messed up last time by eating too much of it and I had a little left to eat the second time. I learned! We had great servers both times. You know, when you have great servers, the meals are better. Oh yeah! I had the beet salad and it was so good. Glad I added goat cheese. It added to the deliciosity (I made up the word). read more
