This is the same for 'Ramada Rock Hill' location (and I'm going to copy and paste to that one too.) Stayed here on a Tuesday night after doing some Borscht Belt photography of the old resorts during my vacation. It's annoying how this place is still $135-180 a night on a flippin Tuesday considering this is such a sleepy little sticks town and not everything is even open that early on in the week. But anyway, we could have stayed in a normal king room but of course we took the bougie route and got the king suite w jacuzzi tub. OH YES. And it was pretty much worth it! (for pics, inquire within for a small fee..Cough..) So for about $215 with tax, we were able to enjoy the pool which is open until 10pm and smells delightfully like cedar (i could have stayed in there all night) but was a bit on the chilly side. I didn't mind much but compared to other hotel pools it was not the usual 80 but rather around 70. Still nice though. Sauna in locker room area that i didn't check out and an awesome beer joint across the street that will deliver if you call ahead of time. Good ass food and super affordable! Bed was clean and comfy but they need to work on their pillow game. Very soft and flat pillows and only 4 small ones. I would have liked 6 if they were this size or at least 4 nice oversized. Tv was a tit fuzzy on majority of channels but who cares, I wasn't there for to watch that. Nice robes by the tub but um, don't think about jacking them bc they are a whopping $75 a pop if you do... better off nabbing some at target for a fraction of that. Would I come again? Absolutely. Plus I think the sofa at the foot of the king bed was a pullout so you could def fit 4 ppl comfortably and split the bill. No bed bugs spotted, no strange stains, only funky smell was in the hall outside the room. I might be back! Oh and um....abundant pokemon...wait what? Oh also, continental breakfast from 6-9 maybe until 10 and it had basic things like bagels, waffles, etc and it wasnt too bad. read more

From the area,Had to stay here due to losing power in lightning strike during a recent storm. Found the staff very helpful,courteous and got us into our room fast. Room was very spacious and clean and during these very hot days,refreshingly cool. Would recommend this place to anyone. On site pool and fitness center. Pet friendly I heard too, noticed many states cars represented parked probably due to AAA site,which gets you a better rate to stay,ask for it. They have an event room. read more

What a great hotel in this small lil town. Stayed here for my cousins wedding. They didn't have their wedding here but it was the closest hotel to their home where the wedding was held. So all the wedding guests pretty much took over the hotel. The hotel's decor was very nice and I loved their free breakfast in the morning. Great coffee machine, a variety of milk: nonfat, whole, soy. Waffles, yogurt, a variety of cereals, bagels, donuts. Everything you could want! Checked out the gym and pool. Had the gym to myself one morning and their equipment was very new and they have everything you need for a full workout. What really made this place stand out for us was they had promised a crib for my 10 month old niece but said they had ran out because the hotel was fully booked. They said they would go to Wal Mart to buy one for her. We went to the rehearsal dinner and by the time we got back it was set up and ready to go. The only thing I didn't like was the walls were very thin in our room. I could hear the entire conversation of the older couple next door. Kept asking her husband what she should wear! Lol Overall this hotel was fantastic and highly recommend if you end up in this area. read more

Round one of the Rock Hill Trifecta Weekend.. Stayed at the Sullivan one night of a Hudson Valley hiking/eating/driving weekend. The hotel itself is located right off the highway, they have a few restaurants, a coffee/beer bar across the street and they also have a really nice indoor pool inside a cedar building. The bed was really comfortable, the pillows were not, the soap smelled great, the water pressure was decent, they allow dogs which is awesome and there are just enough channels on the TV. Great experience! read more

One star is generous- Awful- I knew what I was getting in to, as Ramada's have not been updated physically or with their service levels in years. And I mean- YEARS! They are the only show in town. The 'Free Breakfast' is mediocre at best- and that insults mediocre. The front desk service is appallingly poor- staff sitting down while checking you in, not dressed in a professional manner, can't answer simple questions, or just don't care to. Stay AWAY! My room was fine- but for $146.00 per night I expected better in this tiny town. I paid $131.00 for a Hampton Inn in NYC in Midtown last week! The only saving grace- the restaurant next door- 'Crust' is really good- Italian food and good pizza and terrific and friendly service. read more

Horrible, and I mean REALLY HORRIBLE customer service! We booked three nights here for a long-weekend getaway around the wine festival at Bethel Woods. Our reservation was confirmed for a King room with a refrigerator (for wine-right?). When we arrived, check-in at the front desk seemed a bit disorganized. We went to our room, which was a King room, but no fridge. To top it off, it was directly opposite a very loud exit door. We called the front desk and were given the runaround until I insisted I speak to the manager. At that point they brought a fridge to the room, and tried to convince us the noise we were hearing would not bother us. Again I had to ask for the manager, and this time they said they would move us to a different room. The new room was on the second floor in the back, not near an exit (good for noise) had the fridge (which was brought along from the previous room), but was much smaller than the previous room. Well, OK we took it anyway. So ended the first night. The next day was Saturday and we went to the wine festival early after suffering through a miserable "continental" breakfast and horrible coffee provided in the hotel lobby. We decided not to bother with the "free" breakfast again after that sad experience. When we returned Saturday evening there was no parking available (apparently there was a convention there) so we had to park on the street, carrying our wine to the room. However, the room keys would not open any of the entrance doors (or our room) and we had to go all the way back down to the front desk (with our wine) and have the keys reprogrammed. We found that the bed had been made and fresh towels were provided but we were out of toilet paper. Back down to the front desk for a roll and to complain again. Sunday morning we left early to go exploring, and we said hello to the cleaning people in the hall as we left. Sunday late afternoon we returned to find that once again our keys did not work. Apparently they only program them for one day at a time. Furthermore, we got back to a room that was in exactly the same as we left. The bed was not made, the towels were in a wet pile, the garbage was full, and not enough toilet paper to last the night. We called the front desk to complain. They said maybe we had the do not disturb sign on the door (we did not) and we went down to the front desk. We said we were going out for dinner and expected the room to be taken care of when we returned. When we returned Sunday evening, there were fresh towels laying on the unmade bed, no toilet paper, wet towels still on the floor, and full trash cans. We called the front desk again, and they sent someone to the room with toilet paper. The wet towels and trash bags were left in the hallway. We were very glad to leave this place Monday morning. While we were there, we also noticed eggshells and other dirt in the hallway upon our arrival was still there when we checked out, and there are a lot of bulbs out in the hallways. We also thought the food area in the lobby was filthy. Please note: Light bulbs out in any commercial establishment is a clear sign they are not keeping up with maintenance. After all, if they can't spend 30 seconds replacing a light bulb, what else are they not doing? read more

WOW!! What they have done to this place is AMAZING. The decor, the staff, the rooms, the food... it's amazing. I stayed overnight for a local function and I was floored by The Sullivan. Recently engaged and I'm definitely considering this place as a venue after visiting. read more

While on a roadtrip up to Rock Hill to cheer on a friend running a race, I discovered this lovely hotel as before it was the starting line. We arrived at night when most of the runners had retired for the evening to prepare for the next day and were greeted by warm and friendly staff and the 411 that right next door the restaurant was open for business so we could still eat. Before we headed out that morning from NYC I was certain this "Rock Hill" must be located in the middle of nowhere, the boonies if you will, but was pleasantly surprised by an ultra modern, sleek hotel with all the amenities and the most comfortable beds. Even though we arrived at night the place was hopping with an air of glamour, though the "hopping" was due to a combination Bar/Bat Mitzvah in their main hall and the "glamour" stemmed from the fashionable gowns of the party guests who I learned came from as far as Florida for the shindig. But back to the hotel- great night's sleep, great wifi, and in the morning, a complimentary breakfast in the lobby which included my fave, a Make-Your-Own Waffle station. While getting some air outside we met this chill guy who gave off a very New York City vibe, maybe Brooklyn or Long Island, I thought. Then we were joined by this bubbly blonde and after chatting for a while learned they were from the city too and funny enough, the chill guy was the owner. The first card keys for our room had to be replaced otherwise I would have given 5 stars. Really nice place and people. read more

We have been coming to this area for many years now and have finally found a great and affordable hotel. The service was amazing and had a great meal at Crust. The free breakfast was a great added bonus as well. We attended a wedding here and it was one of the nicest affairs we have been too! Highly recommend The Sullivan! read more

The hotel overbooked without telling us until we showed up to the hotel. The staff was incredibly disrespectful and unhelpful.

Booked and stayed at The Sullivan for a long weekend with a large group. On Friday, a large group of people attending a wedding checked in. There was much partying with the young people but we all understood their excitement. However, after the wedding the party returned to the hotel and partied all night. Unable to sleep , I called the office after hearing them playing basketball in the hallway at 2:30 AM. I was told I was the 17th call this evening. The desk said there wasn't security because they leave at 11:00 PM. This went on until 4:00 AM. In the morning, I was told management was not available in spite of a long line of people making complaints. Nothing was done and nobody contacted me even though I asked for management to contact me. Our weekend was ruined because we had many activities in which we were unable to attend because of fatigue. I checked out early disgusted. read more

Room was clean and maintained daily. Breakfast was standard - coffee, yogurt, bagels, cereal, fruit, and make your own waffles. Pool smelled great (cedar) and fitness studio had ample space. Playing pool was a treat! Will definitely stay agin when up in the area without hesitation. read more

We stayed at The Sullivan in December. Given the fact that the only other choices in Sullivan County are fleabags and roach motels, this was the best of the area. However, the price was way outrageous for what you get. We paid $60 less in the Washington DC Metro area for a very nice Hampton Inn the night before. Our room was large and clean, but the bathroom was so tiny that the door barely cleared the toilet. There was a thin shelf to put your toiletries on. The bed was rock hard (ok because I like a hard bed) but the pillows were smaller than standard-sized pillows and also rock hard. Our linens were not changed (a smudge and "sleep wrinkles" from the night before were still there). The TV had terrible reception and the WiFi was unsecured. "Continental Breakfast" was stale bagels, brown bananas, bruised apples, and lukewarm water for the tea. There were also a few dole fruit cups like you get in a school lunch, and a very dirty pancake machine. To me it looks like The Sullivan seems like it wants to be a high-end establishment but doesn't quite fit the bill. read more

I have been traveling all over the world however never experienced such a horrible service. It started with the front desk and ended with the general manager. As many have mentioned this hotel is somewhere between a motel 6 and a want to be hotel. The lobby is very nice and modern however once you go to your room in the detachable buildings you will be reminded of your dorm days at best. We booked the room directly with the hotel and paid over $220 for one night after being told that it's the last room available due to a wedding that was going on. Once we got there we learned that there was no wedding and the prices online were less than $150. The front desk and subsequently the general manager refused to adjust the price on day of arrival by pretty much telling me to F off. Is that a way to treat your guest? Also, the breakfast was embarrassing. The station is so small and can't fit more than two people. The fruit was spoiled (I attached a picture) and the mini fridge did not have anything in it. If you call yourself a hotel act like one. Save yourself the aggravation and stay somewhere else and as to the manager, he need to work at a motel 6 at best. read more

i enjoyed the comfy bed and pillows however that was about it. very upset. no juice or hot breakfast. they charged a $250 pet cleaning fee in a pet friendly room. they said my dogs went all over the place and on the bed. it is NOT true! they automatically assumed. I spilled a soda on the sheets and dripped a little bit of water from my cooler drain as i lifted it to leave. they have no refridgerators in the 'pet friendly' rooms, did not accommodate my disability, and they had 'white sheets and comforters in a pet friendly room. that is ridiculous but managed go keep them clean with the two dogs, except for spilling my soda that one time. that does not require a cleaning and especially not for that price. they lied when i made the reservation and said they automatically charge a $69 pet cleaning fee which they didnt do, so that was a lie, then when i called about the $250 extra charge, i was told it was cause they double booked me and charged me for the no-show and it would be refunded. when i called back the second time about it was when i was told it was a cleaning fee. they lied again or were wrong one. either way, they need not to assume my animals went all over the place cause they didnt. i even cleaned up for the maids since i stayed there for 6 days. i neatly put up the trash for them and the linens left in a pile in the bathroom and i get this? super upset. I will never stay there again and certainly will not recommend to anyone. also,there are a lot of people that come from all over the world to see the person i went to see in that area and will make sure they do not recommend this hotel to their clients any more. read more
