A clean and clean smell office with an organized reception area . We only waited a few min. and then Simon was taken to the back office in his carrier. During an incredibly stressful time, the entire staff, including the nurses and doctors, provided highly professional and expert service. They treated both me and Bello with the utmost care, empathy, and urgency. What truly sets VEG apart is how transparent and communicative they are. They went over all the financials with us upfront, making sure we knew exactly what treatments they were doing and how much it would cost, so there were no surprises. Because they are open 24/7, I loved that I could visit Bello any time, day or night. The medical team was always available to discuss his updates and status, which gave me so much comfort. Even after Bello was discharged, their incredible service didn't stop. They have been completely available by phone to answer all of my follow-up questions and concerns during his recovery at home. What stood out most was that her focus seemed to be on payment rather than patient care. In an already stressful and emotional situation, I expected more compassion and empathy. Additionally, Dr. Horwitz loudly shouted across the hospital, "DID THEY PAY?" regarding a man leaving with birds. Everyone in the lobby turned to look at him. After a veterinary technician responded that he had paid, Dr. Horwitz simply laughed it off. I found this behavior unprofessional and embarrassing for the man involved. Overall, I would strongly recommend requesting a different veterinarian if possible. Pet owners deserve clear communication, compassion, and empathy, especially when facing a serious illness with their pet. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Horwitz lacked all three.

I have been yelping for years and I believe this is the first time I'm reviewing a business where I…read morewent in knowing it was not going to be a positive experience but I ended up receiving compassion and felt heard and understood. My mom lives in the Coachella Valley and she has had her cat, Carrie Catshaw for the last 17 years, a rescue that ended up becoming her best friend. Unfortunately, my mom had to make the difficult decision of euthanizing her companion. She was too upset to setup the arrangements on her own, so I assisted by searching where this could be done in her area. I decided to come here as it was the nearest provider to her. When I spoke to them on the phone to make the appointment, they were so kind and helpful. They were able to convey their condolences on the phone and not at one point did they treat me like another transaction. An appointment was made for a couple weeks later. When I drove out to my mom's to be there for her, we walked into this veterinary office and the woman who was working at the reception desk was so nice and welcoming and treated my mom with so much love. I wish I recalled her name. After just a few minutes, we were assigned an examination room. Keely, a veterinary assistant, briefed us and shared her condolences. She obviously has compassion for animals, but she was able to professionally and genuinely console my mother, who may have not been able to articulate it at the time, but was so grateful for her role that day. Lastly, Dr. Fenn was a godsend that day. In addition to being compassionate in his own right, I commend his ability to explain the steps of the procedure in a clear and concise way, in a situation were one's headspace would not allow them to comprehend anything. My mom was unable to stay for the entire process but was given the opportunity to say goodbye. I opted to stay so her beloved cat would not have to pass without a familiar face. I am so grateful to the entire team for taking such good care of us. If I didn't live in Long Beach, I would, without a question, bring my handsome husky malamute fur child to have Dr. Fenn be his primary care provider. If you live in the Coachella Valley, this needs to be your vet office. I cannot imagine a better one in all of Riverside County.
