Local breakfast places are so important, especially when you are new to the area and need a good go to place. We saw CRC and the cute decor so we finally decided to try it hoping it would be our go to breakfast place. The service is good, the menu is large with a good variety of options for all. The lattes and coffee is DELICIOUS! The food is good but seems very Tex-Mex which is expected. For example the breakfast potatoes albeit flavorful had a lot of peppers and seasoning to it so those who do not like extra in their potatoes may not like it. For my build your own omelette they added a green chilies sauce which I enjoyed but not expected and again for some that may be a turn off. One thing that was a little disappointment was the toast, not a big deal but I love toast and they only give you 1 slice vs 2 I was expecting. It's not a big deal but those little things you look forward to and disappoints a little. We also got pancakes which looked delicious but it was not what we expected. Seemed a little chewy, the texture somewhat reminded me of mochi but not tasty. We didn't finish it. All in all slightly more pros than cons but not sure if this will be go to place. I have been to Cattle ranch twice before and this past Sunday was the first time I went for dinner. My husband had been with my parents a few weeks before and he said he really liked it. So we went I really enjoyed it. I ordered the ribeye with the lobster Mac and cheese. It was cooked just right and tasted so good. My husband ordered the baby back ribs and the portion was more than we expected. The meat fell off the bone and the brussel sprouts were tasty too. We ended dinner with a crème brulee which is my favorite dessert. It was a quiet night. It was only us and one other couple. Visited Cattle Ranch for breakfast on a Saturday. We had never been there, but were excited to try it. The menu did a great job of selling you on the dishes, but the dishes did not live up to the hype. We ordered eggs Benedict and a rib tip dish that came with a poached egg. Both dishes had eggs that were over poached, with partially solid yolks, and both dishes came out cold. Maybe we ordered the wrong items, because other tables looked happy with their scrambled eggs and bacon, but why would I pay $15 for that? OJ was $5. Wasn't even fresh squeezed. Some of the staff was really friendly. Especially the server with the colored hair. Our actual server, didn't seem to like us very much and seemed irritated when my son wanted ketchup for his potatoes. She took 10 minutes to come back with it. Overall, this place leans heavy on their potatoes. That was 80% of our plate. I wouldn't mind if the potatoes had more than one flavor note. It was all green peppers and not much else. The restaurant was clean and modern, yet retained a cozy vibe. It's probably a better dinner spot than breakfast spot, but we won't know since we won't be back. YMMV! read more

I eat out a lot at all kinds and levels of restaurants, so I know great quality when I taste it. Trust me--you won't be disappointed! The crab cakes were also very good, with a nice remoulade sauce on the side (for me, more of a mustard sauce than a typical remoulade, but still very tasty). First timers coming to this place. Greeted right away, and was able to choose our seat which was nice, it wasn't that busy for a Saturday morning. The place was well decorated, fitting to their name. Plenty of seats inside and outside. We ordered 2 waters, an iced latte, the "Chefs Special" Crab Cake Eggs Benedict, the Short Rib Potato Hash, and the Short Rib Chilaquiles (not your average chilaquiles). Our waiter was Josh, he was awesome! He kept refilling our water cups and even went out of his way to give us bigger water glasses to fill our water needs. He also went out of the way to bring us their habanero salsa, which was perfect with our food. The meat was so tender and the Benedict was REAL crab! The chef even came to our table to check in. Really delicious food! This is in the same plaza as Stater Bros off of Schaefer and Fern right next to the UPS Store. I was wondering when they were going to put another restaurant in this area as the foot traffic is super ideal! Free parking in the large parking lot and a 20 min wait for a table for 4 on a Sunday morning - not bad! Pro tip: don't get the Mexican hot chocolate - it has none of the Mexican spices you would expect of true Mexican hot chocolate (it just taste like plan out of the packet hot chocolate). The mocha is decent! Loved that it came with the artistic touch. The hash was so tender! Honestly it tasted like a pot roast to me the house potatoes definitely have a different take that I appreciated! It's cooked in peppers and a sauce that definitely give it a more hearty feel. We ordered the salmon potato hash with poached eggs, cinnamon brioche french toast, chicken and waffle, and the short rib chilaquiles, and their signature latte. Overall, it seemed most people enjoyed their food. Of all of the entrees, the salmon hash probably was the least popular. The report was that the salmon was a bit fishy, and the has a little under seasoned. My short rib chilaquiles was good, however, I would've wanted more of the green sauce, which was mainly at the bottom of the plate. There really wasn't enough sauce to get the tortilla chips in that in-between state of crispy-soggy, which is the way I prefer it. The french toast was very basic, and though it was made on brioche bread, it still wasn't very fluffy...hate to say this, but it tasted like something a person could make at home. So with all things considered, this restaurant is definitely a solid 3 stars: A-OK. A couple of our friends were in the area and we found Cattle Ranch Cafe served brunch. We decided to give them a try, ordered our own dish, and shared the stuffed cinnamon brioche french toast. Our server, Shelby, warned us in a good way that it would be sweet and savory. When our food came out, we were shocked with how big the portions were. Definitely bang for your buck and good enough to split it with another person. Our friends got the crab cake benedict and the short rib chilaquiles. They said both dishes were very delicious. My wife got the cowboy burrito, which had short rib, and she said the short rib was excellent. I got the cattle ranch burger and that thing was massive! After stacking all the toppings, my wife had to take a picture of how tall the burger was standing. I couldn't fit it all in my mouth for one bite and it was probably half the size of my head. Flavors were good and I had to eat the burger deconstructed. The stuffed french toast was pretty good and the savory mascarpone cheese filling was something different. I would order that again. Shelby was great and provided excellent service. She checked in on us and filled our water cups. The interior of the restaurant was huge and very clean. We'll be back to give their dinner menu a try or come here for brunch if we're in the area again. We came here for lunch (from 11 am) yesterday and had the seafood salad and the steak tenderloin sandwich. Both were delicious. The seafood was really fresh and the béarnaise sauce on the sandwich was the best we've had at any restaurant. A delightful bonus was their iced sugar cookies given to us as we left. They have a nice variety of lunch and dinner dishes, and even more choices for breakfast. They gave us a sample of their iced mocha smoothie, which was so good! They serve fruit smoothies here as well. Service throughout the café was excellent and our server, Barbara, was so efficient and friendly. The pancakes were undercooked and just left a mushy feeling in my mouth when I tried to eat it. If a place can't get a simple breakfast correct, I don't have faith in the other items. 2. The triple breakfast. Again, basic breakfast item, yet the bacon wasn't crispy. Ended up being tough to eat. The side of toast only came with 1 toast. 3. Vanilla latte. Great presentation and great flavor. But $7.25 for a large latte? That's ridiculous. They have quality silverware, dishes and napkins. The service was excellent. We ordered ranchero eggs and a build your own omelet. The portions are generous and the quality of the food was perfect.
