When I stop in for lunch, it's busy but efficient and usually have employees everywhere. At night, it seems like a totally different place. The place is clean, the staff is friendly, and you can get your food fairly quickly... as long as you get in line! Clean and convenient location in Towne Center with ample lot parking. I arrived on a busy Monday at lunchtime, and honestly had no idea what to expect. I had looked at reviews and the menu and opted for a high protein dish, the Steak and Harissa bowl. The line moved very quickly, so I didn't have time to deviate from my original order (thankfully). The prepared it as it was described and provided a side of pita. I grabbed a cucumber mint drink and headed off. It ran just over $20 for the meal. The bowl was really good. It had just the right amount of spice and wasn't overwhelming. There was a good serving of steak included. I liked the variety of textures and flavors. I wasn't overly full after eating it, and I wasn't left wanting more. It was the right portion for what I needed that day. The pita triangles were way too spicy for me. It was a special they 're running and I wasn't really given an option on that or plain, so not a big deal. I enjoyed enough of it. Staff was very friendly and engaging. I absolutely felt valued. My friends haven't stopped raving about this place since it opened and I was skeptical. They described it as Mediterranean Chipotle and I LOVE Chipotle so I needed this place to blow it out the park for me to be excited. I visited their location by Whole Foods. First issue was with the service. The lady serving us was kinda rude and put such a damper on the experience for me. I was with a few of my friends that love Cava and even they were shocked. They said we need to go to a different location next time the selection is wide and I was a little overwhelmed on what to pick but ended up settling on one of their recommended lemon chicken options. Maybe I'm the problem, I think the prices of the food here are a little crazy. $15 for a salad? Um... I honestly don't understand why people are so obsessed with this place. I couldn't wait to try out Cava, since its the hotspot around the US. As much as I loved Zoe's Kitchen, out with the old and in with the new! I visited Cava today for lunch, and after waiting in a semi-long line, I was treated to extremely nice servers. They are patient with each customer and explain each ingredient, which is nice since a few are new to my palette! I made my own bowl with arugula, grilled chicken, sweet potatoes, lemon garlic tahini, harissa, skoug, and grilled corn. IT WAS DELICIOUS. I will definitely be coming back to Cava for more delicious Mediterranean style food and to try different combinations. read more

Walked in at 9:20pm on March 30th, 2026. You can tell the line was busy making online orders. We waited at the front behind the glass with another lady, and we didn't get greeted. We weren't even looked at which I understand they were busy. However, then it was 9:29pm and we still weren't spoken too or looked at. I then went up and asked "when do you think we will be served". The lady responded "I can't serve you until the online orders are finished, but I can start on yall now." Which made no sense because she directly started serving us, so she could've served us this whole time. She then served the lady in front of us, who then left when they didn't have her protein selection. She walked out and said "why the f*** didn't yall tell me that before I stood here for 10 minutes." The lady she told that too who was on the line looked at us and said "I will snatch her little a** up". My girlfriend and I just kind of awkwardly laughed and then order our food. Luckily they had everything we wanted to eat. The manager was a white lady and there was a taller black male with eyebrow slits, then a younger black female who was larger on the line. I wonder how long we would have waited if I never went and asked when did they think they could serve us. This is not my first issue here as last summer I was overcharged tremendously for my food and when I asked for my receipt the girl on the register said "I KNEW YOU WAS GONNA DO THAT". Then I was refunded for what she overcharged me with. I usually don't leave reviews at all, but this definitely is an exception. The meal was a pita bowl, and I can't tell you which one because I customized it and there's so many options. Almost too many options with too many words. It was a little nerve wracking ordering for the first time because of that. My favorite part was the falafel. I ended up getting some things in the bowl I didn't want because I felt pressured to. My goodness where do I start? I've been hearing about Cava for a while, but was still reluctant to try it. Kept seeing it on social media and figured I'd give it a go. The inside of the place is very clean and pleasant which I can appreciate. The workers were so helpful and efficient in taking orders which really impressed me. They helped guide me through my options and ended up putting a great bowl together for me. The braised lamb was so tender and juicy my Lord!! Cava itself is great, this location is terrible, though. The last time I went I placed an order online and when I arrived to pick it up I had to wait 20 min past when it was supposed to be ready for my bowl. On top of that the amount of food I received for the price I paid was pitiful. The bowl was maybe halfway full and it was a $12-15 priced bowl. I've had coworkers and friends who have had the same experience and also waited for their online order while there was no one in line in the store but they were told the employees were "backed up". I've been told the location on highland is a much better situation though. Not sure what the Towne Center location's issue is. read more

I've been to this location twice now, and the food was tasty both times! We dined in during our first visit and it kind of sucked because it was 2 pm on a Sunday and they were out of sooo many things - right rice, pickled onions, corn, lemon vinaigrette, etc. - so we had no choice but to work with what they had left (why doesn't this stuff get refilled?). The staff that day was also very cold, no one was smiling, and they didn't make an effort to build customer relationships with us. At least it was a nice and sunny day to enjoy our food on the patio. My most recent visit was to pick up an online order I placed in advance Friday morning. I arrived right at my promised pick up time, but I noticed my order wasn't in the pick up area, so I stood in line to mention it just in case it was missed in the system. The staff member didn't ask about any details pertaining to it, and instead told me it would be on the shelf when it's ready, so I ended up sitting at a table to wait for it. It was growing increasingly busier by the second and the line was to the door, but little did I know I would have to wait an extra 20 minutes after my pick up time for the food. I realized the pick up orders were prepared in the back kitchen once an employee came out with them. Luckily I wasn't in a rush to be somewhere, but it was worth the wait after seeing our bowls completely full when I made it back home to eat. Let me tell you about the worst experience I have ever had occurred at this location. First, my wife and I walk in, and there is a deep line but only two people out front. The restaurant did not staff appropriately for dinner time. Second, they were out of grilled chicken and it was clear that the meats hadn't been refilled at all. I waited as the woman processed more grilled chicken in the back. Third, my pita was a leaking mess, not even rolled properly. Fourth, I bought a soft drink and every single soft drink had no carbonated water. Fifth, the forks were empty, and I had to wait while my pita bread soaked in the leaky mess of dog dodo. Sooo, I've actually went to this place 3 days in row. All 3 days I ordered the same thing. Build your own lamb bowl, and it was delicious. It's close to my job so it's convenient. The food is like Chipotle with a Middle Eastern spin on it. I personally like the food better that chipotle, but that's just me. The customer service on the other hand, is a little suspect. Day 1, the young lady had the worst attitude and she built my bowl without giving me a choice of telling her what I wanted on it. It's middle eastern food so I really didn't know what half of the sauces and extras were. When told her I didn't want the purple shredded onions she scraped them off, smearing the juices all over the rest of the food. I could be allergic to onions. ‍. Not to mention she was even more upset after that and started slamming my food into the bowl and spraying the sauces in excessive amounts into the bowl. I didn't say anything else, I was a little scared. Lol. Day 2, completely different experience, like night and day. Great service, great food, I enjoyed it. Day 3, different gal as day 1, but similar attitude with not as much aggression. She was chewing on something so it seemed like I interrupted her since she had to come out and help out with the line of customers. There was initially only one gal working the line when I walked in and I heard her complaining about it, which I understand because there was 5 people I counted in the kitchen just watching her drown with the long line of customers. The manager was just leaning on the counter in the kitchen just talking. The young lady was ringing up my food with her elbow and I said you can just change your gloves can't you, because it was taking some time for her to get rung up, and she replied she didn't want to waste gloves just to ring up food. I replied, the box of gloves say disposable though. So she took them off and rang up my food correctly. She wasn't happy about it from what I can feel and see. My food was still good nevertheless. I blame places that give exceptional customer service regardless of the day you walk in on, I tend to expect it everywhere I go and when I don't get I am sadly disappointed. I do know everyone's name but I won't post in a review because they could've just been having their bad day. I get it. That's what we will call it. The food was great which is the only reason I keep going back, I just have my fingers crossed when I walk into the building in hopes that I get someone in a decent mood. All in all, I recommend it, because of the food, not because of the service. I will say one of the managers tried to make up for my for my first bad experience by offering me a free meal, but that courtesy meal was unfortunately diluted by my last experience today. It is kind of sad because the food is so good. They need to get it together if you ask me. The prices are decent for the location, but the prices are going up everywhere so not a big deal. For a lack of vegan choices in Baton Rouge, we order CAVA a few times a month. My complaint is that for every 10 times we picked up orders there, 8 of those times there were no Falafels in the order. We always call the order in to allow time to make the falafels, yet they still fail. Oftentimes, we have to WAIT. We shouldn't have to because it was called in in advance. And STILL no falafels! Cava has become ridiculous in their disorganization. I have been going religiously since they opened, but they are becoming more and more disorganized. Do not order to-go and expect it to be ready 10 to 20 minutes later like most restaurants. They will always be behind in something that causes the whole line of people to have to wait, and messes up the to go orders as well. They only have like 4 meats, falafel and vegetables. They can see what's running out or low but they wait until it's completely out to start making more. If they have a line and you see everyone standing around, your order will take over half an hour. But, if there is no line, then go for it. I had to wait for them to cook chicken this past Friday, but it was for DoorDash, it took 40 minutes. read more
