The turkey was high-quality and the bread held up perfectly. * Spicy Curried Couscous: I had to grab a side of their signature couscous, and it didn't disappoint. It has that signature roasted cauliflower and just the right amount of spice to balance out the sandwich. It's easily one of the best sides on their menu. The highlight of this visit was definitely sitting outside (inside is ok, a bit noisy and crowded). The patio area is clean, spacious, and perfect for catching some sun while you eat but most tables are shaded by umbrellas. Even though it's right off PCH, it's a great spot to relax and enjoy the El Segundo breeze. Brownie was slightly dry but also delicious cuz it's a brownie. It's gluten-free after all. The best part? It's just kind of a mellow meal. There's a lot of places to eat out in South Bay, but I don't always want pizza or sushi or burgers or steak. We started with the pear and blue cheese salad and, wow, we could have just ordered this, split it, and we would have been full. Very flavorful, generous portion that is definitely big enough to share. We also ordered the Sausage & Leek Fettuccine and I was definitely not thinking. Totally forgetting that leeks are part of the onion family (and I have a sensativity to onions). Once the dish arrive, I immediately noticed the similarity and was slowly trying to pick them away from my portion. Once again, Geovani came to our rescue. He asked how everything was and I told him I made a mistake (noted above). He quickly volunteered to have the kitchen make it again without the leeks. I asked, "Are you sure?", and he immediately said yes and removed the dish. Very shortly after, he returned with the "onion sterile" dish and it was wonderful. Both of us were so full you could have rolled us out the door. Good thing the parking garage is so close so we could just hop in our car and go home.
