I love that they constantly have new menu items and features so you can keep coming back again and again for something new. This last time, I ordered some sweet potato pancakes (that must have been a special because I can't find them on the menu now) and they were SO GOOD!!! They had nuts in them and they were not too sweet which was surprising in the best way. My wife got the classic chicken and waffles and loved them and our 3rd wheel got an omelet. He cleaned the plate so we know it was realllll good. We also got the fried okra as an app for the table and we were all big fans. The sauce took them over the top on flavor. We have never had an issue with the service. They've always been communicative and friendly, offering great suggestions on the menu. I love the inside of the restaurant. It fits the vibe of the menu very well. It feels very hometown southern which is perfect because it is my baby's hometown and we will continue going back every time we visit.

The staff were beyond friendly and attentive and they answered all of my questions about the food. The restaurant was super clean. I ended up ordering the half bird with original seasoning on it. The seasoning the put on it is a crystallized honey power and something else in it, it gives the chicken a nice sweet flavor but not overpowering. They also have a spicy version for you spice lovers. The half bird came with 4 pieces as one would expect, the crust was crispy and the chicken was awesome. I was eating the dark meat and couldn't get over how juicy it was. The real test as you all know is the breast, is that going to be dry? Nope, it was so moist and flavorful, it was a home run. I guess they brine their chicken for some good amount of time and it shows. My sides though I wish I would have gotten more adventurous, the meal came with two sides so I got a salad and the fried potatoes as a recommendation from the waitress. The service was definitely chaotic but not to the point of being bad. They are busy. Our server forgot our beverages but when the food came remembered our drinks. Again, busy, and people were doing their best. I would recommend the bistro. The folks were pleasant and the ambiance is great.
