This is some of the most fresh food you will get in Greenville. Everything is great here. Lamb and chicken alike, salads, all their desserts. And you have to respect the cash only for a local business. Always treated so well when I eat here. Vibes are great and it's usually crowded (for good reason)!!! Love coming here.

Pretty good food. Good quantity. Served on paper plates and plastic utensils. Bring cash as they don't accept cards!!!!

I was stuffed! They only accept ca$h and its well worth it to keep prices down. They also have a little store in the back with lots of good treats, snacks and frozen and fresh foods.

Disappointed in the BLAND food! Either the food is not authentic or the owner dumbed it down to satisfy the locals? Ordered the chicken shawarma sandwich. Place makes their own pita bread so I was excited to try it. Unfortunately the pita fell apart and I ended up with a pita SALAD. Chicken was real bland and lacked flavor. Ended up drowning it with sauces at my table. Place is casual. Business is half restaurant and have store. Cash only and they passed the savings on to the customers as prices are reasonable. Unfortunately the food is just not very good! Won't be back.

Fresh, delicious beef over hummos platter paired perfectly with their lemonade and a side of feta.

I was told to try this restaurant by a few mutual acquaintances. Little did I know that my children and I feasting on the delicacies they offered would make us viral; we really just wanted to try a highly regarded restaurant locally! I cannot rave enough about everything, especially the falafel, but over 80k views and 700 comments on one TikTok have declared this the epitome of Greenville & community. Rated top in the city by some and unknown by others, I cannot state how much my kids and I and friends love this new to us discovery. The hummus is just Take Cash!

It is mostly Greek food not Middle Eastern. Very misleading. I wanted authentic Middle Eastern food not Greek.

We originally fell in love with the Chicken Kabobs, but after trying the salmon, it quickly became our favorite dish. The salmon is perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. We live in Asheville, so dining at Pomegranate on Main is always a special treat. We especially love the cranberry basmati rice and always ask to substitute it for the basmati rice mixed with dill and lima beans. Our waiter, Christian W., happily made the change for us. Christian provided outstanding service throughout our meal--friendly, attentive, and eager to ensure everything was just right. We also love the Pomegranate Martini and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys martinis. During this visit, we were skipping alcohol, and Christian suggested the Pomegranate Mojito instead. It was refreshing, flavorful, and absolutely delicious--a perfect non-alcoholic option. What keeps us coming back is the consistency. The food is always excellent, the service is always top-notch, and the entire dining experience is one we look forward to every time. Pomegranate on Main is well worth the trip, and we highly recommend it!

The food tasted just like my best friend's mom's home cooking--super authentic and full of flavor. Definitely recommend trying the stews, especially the fesenjan. The chef even sent out a complimentary appetizer, which was a really nice touch. Service was great despite it being a busy night. Being right on Main Street makes it perfect for a date night--grab dinner and then go for a stroll after.

The environment is welcoming, and within walking distance of the downtown walking trails. Cozy seating and kind staff. The choice for lunch was made mostly for us, offering a cafeteria style meal. You either choose meat or vegetarian and the plate is brought out to you. We were surprised with chicken as the day's choice of meat. Ordered naan on the side, a simple vehicle food, used to dip in the spicy dipping sauce they serve and any of the foods on the plate. The dinner menu is more expansive.

I had in my head that this was a place where you could get a nice combo platter, but that's apparently only for lunch, so I had to pick one dish. I was quite happy with my selection though, with their interpretation of daal being a hearty, thick, if overly salty stew noticeably different in taste and texture than the Indian version I so often eat. It did not come with rice, but perhaps that was not so bad as ordering a naan turned out to be well worth it. A gigantic bread, it was delightfully charred on the outside and soft on the inside, and was just about right for mopping up a full plate of lentils. Adding a chai resulted in a cardamom-flavored beverage that wasn't particularly sweet. There were plenty of vegetarian selections that looked worthwhile based on what other tables ordered. I still wish I'd been able to sample more, but I was happy with what I got, and indeed I can't recall an Afghan restaurant I've been to with better-executed vegetarian dishes.

The one thing I would offer as constructive criticism is really watch the amount of dry oregano you add after the fact. Most of what we received had more than a dusting, which isn't pleasant with dried herbs. (Note, I love oregano and cook with it all the time. This was just excessive). The other thing I would note is there isn't that spirit of hospitality when you are there, which is what the Greeks are known for. Service was I'd say a bit below average- for example, we ordered a bunch of appetizers, and were done with quite a bit of it. When our food came out the waitress tried to deliver all the food on an already crowded table. We had to ask her to remove the dirty, empty plates first. We also had people run out of water, and she never came back to refill. The other thing was it was clearly a celebratory dinner. It would have been nice to at least ask what was going on. Not looking for anything, but typically a server would at least chat you up. All that said, we will be back and recommend this place to others. Would just recommend tasting the food before it does out to make sure its not caked with dried oregano, and bring a little more of that Greek spirit to the business.
