Loved everything about this spot. Tucked away in a simple little strip of stores, half grocery and half restaurant and a whole lot of family. We stopped by on our way to ATL for an early lunch and to try this famous spot known for big and fresh flavor. We got there a bit before everything was available but we still opted for the beef plate with humus, vegetables, fresh potatoes bread and a salad. The pita bread was hot out of the oven and was amazing alone or wrapped around tender well seasoned beef and hummus. The gentlemen that took our order was so kind to answer all of our questions and tell us about the family business, and recommend mint tea and spices to try. He even gave us a dessert to try, cashew fingers! Very delicious and light. When we finished and started to leave, I pulled out a few dollars for a tip. The older gentleman stopped by the table and insisted we not leave a tip and was happy we enjoyed the food. Love absolutely everything about this place! I got the middle eastern plate with gyro and my friend got the beef shawarma plate and we both thoroughly enjoyed both. Super flavorful and the hummus was phenomenal. We also got their homemade lemonade and it was 10/10. Service was wonderful and everyone was so kind. I ordered the Middle East Plate w/ Gyro Combination of hummos, falafel and Gyro (Blend beef and lamb) and a cup of their homemade lemonade. This establishment is still cash only! When I paid and got my change, I offered to tip and was told they don't accept any. Instead, their cashier was cute to say I can spend my change on their desserts, which made me smile. Place makes their own pita bread so I was excited to try it. Unfortunately the pita fell apart and I ended up with a pita SALAD. Chicken was real bland and lacked flavor. During a recent visit, there was a steady stream of eat-in and take-out customers, meaning the line never really died down. The food is very good, though my gyro meat was a tad overdone. I favor the plates over the sandwiches as I think you get a bit more bang for your buck. Generous portions means that you won't go home hungry either way. While I almost always just get a gyro plate while here, I also tried the Kibbeh and Dolma. The Dolma was served hot, which was a bit of a departure for me as I'm used to eating it cold. It was pretty good, as was the Kibbeh, although I don't't think I'd get them again.
