Huge fan of Cava. No Cavas in the Bay Area and was super stoked to finally try Cava here in Southern Cali. After our 3rd time here we have to say that Cava did in fact now did not miss, and has yet to disappoint. Definitely so much better than Chipotle. The people and food are always better here We sat inside and the ambience was nice with lots of windows to see outside. Also the blueberry lavender lemonade is probably top 5 drinks of all time. read more

Don't mobile order unless you plan on waiting longer then the ready time. Ordered at 5:40 says it will be ready at 6. They didn't not start my order until 6:10 and only to tell me they ran out of certain foods already. One person working on mobile orders. No sense of urgency from any of the other workers. Person on mobile orders was nice and trying her best but it's just her and no one else. Food was cold. Won't be return to this location. This isn't the first time but it's the longest I've had to wait yet. read more

I love the food and their concept but I hate this location. I've seen constant turnover of employees and they just work really slow so the line is always out the door. They're always out of something, sometimes it's sweet potatoes, sometimes it's the chicken. And what makes it worse is that they only have ONE cashier. There was 1 person working the line of 15+ people at 6pm. Literally 1 guy starting with the rice at the front all the way to ringing them up at the register. The line was moving at a snail's pace. Either the manager doesn't know how to schedule people properly or the people at the top aren't giving the store enough hours. This is the first time I've ever rated a restaurant 1 star. I usually enjoy going to cava however this experience has shifted my thoughts of coming back to this location. I ordered two half grains + half greens bowls for context and a side of pita chips. I ordered online and my whole order was wrong when I picked it up. I asked for free pita bread on the side as that is an option to choose when ordering online and I didn't receive the FREE Pita bread upon pick up. I reviewed my own order upon arriving and noticed that I was missing 2 Skhug sauces on the side and only received one for my first bowl. I had to waive an employee down because no employee was attentive to the pick up orders. I also asked for half super greens and Saffron rice in my order and received half Arugula and half Saffron rice instead. I also asked for Harissa, Hummus, and Tzatziki for my bowl, however I only received the Hummus and Tzatziki. There was no Harissa to be found. I order the same bowl every time so this experience is new to me. The employees are inattentive to customers who are waiting for their pick up orders. One bowl from my order was completely wrong. I asked for 2 Skhug sauces on the side and had to waive an employee down to get their attention in order to get me the extra sauces. I asked for FREE Pita bread on the side and didn't receive any. I hope that this location gets better because I really am a fan of Cava, however this experience is making me question coming back to this location. It doesn't make sense to me that this would happen because the food ticket explains every ingredient and topping that I want included in my bowl. read more

I've been a semi-regular at this CAVA location for about a year, hoping each visit would improve, but the customer service is consistently abysmal. Almost every single time I walk in, I stand at the counter waiting to order while multiple employees bustle past me--carrying trays, restocking, chatting with coworkers--without so much as eye contact, a "hello," or a quick "someone will be with you shortly." it's just a complete lack of awareness or basic courtesy. I know Cava's not some fancy place but still.. maybe you could at least greet the customers coming here to spend money?? read more

I had my first Cava experience last weekend another location in Irvine. It was fantastic so I decide to stop by again but I assumed all the locations were the same. They're not. This one is poorly ran. The round of several ingredients including the ice machine was broken. The girl putting all the toppings on the bowl at zero sense of urgency and half the product wasn't even ending up in the bowl when she would fling it with the spoon. I should have walked away and I saw all the windows were really dirty before I even walked in. And I finally got my food and tried to sit down, every single table was dirty with crumbs and food smears from other guest. It was the same with all the outside tables too. It's nuts because it's slowed down and there's workers just standing around and not cleaning tables while I'm writing this review. I have to say I am disappointed in this location. My daughter brought Cava home from the location in Costa Mesa and it was so good. So I decided to treat her and invite her to the Irvine location. It was not the same. We ordered a chicken and rice bowl. And a steak pita. What a difference this location was. The bowl was way way smaller. Not even full to the edge of the bowl. Maybe an inch from the top. And MUCH MUCH more rice then chicken. My steak pita was not good. The steak was way smaller then the other location. Less steak amount also. It looked so empty when I unrolled the pita to look inside. It was more bread then steak and veggies. Also, the 3 times I have been here, they have a sign up that they are out of the Hot Harissa Pita chips. I mean that is the first item mentioned on the cava.com website. And all 3 times I go you are out? That is poor poor planning on management. Make sure your restaurant is stocked and able to serve your guest. Also I go in at 11 AM or Noon for lunch. It was not end of day where they may have run out. Overall I will be going back to Cava. JUST NOT THIS LOCATION!! read more

The price charged for the bowls we got were more than the menu board. So .70 more charged for every single bowl you served to the public for as long as the menus have been different than the POS. I brought it up to the team and they said the price must have changed. They were put in a really tough spot. They were nice but did not solve the issue. It is not about two bowls at .70. It is about the fact that you are big enough to have checks and measures in place for pricing changes. Your company is way to big to have a miss like this. It is actually shocking that this is going on. So if 100 people get a bowl on average per location this is happening in that is $70 a day per location for al long as it is happening.
